I find that the St. Ive's apricot line works really great. I use the scrub in the shower, just because its easier to get off, and then they just came out with a daily wash in the morning. My face feels very clean. A cheap but good astringent is the Nivea Moisturizing Toner. There is no alcohol in it, but works wonderfully! Try it out! Its good stuff when you're in a financial bind!

I HATE ELF!! lol I bought 2 lip glosses , 1 mascara and an eyeshadow. Let me tell you. The mascara was so DRYED out and thick it globbed my eyelashes oh man it was just absolutley HORRIBLE! The lipgloss was awful as well.. it was thick and you could see my skin thru it , i dont know how to explain it , like it was creasing maybe? I dont know it sucked tho. and well the eyeshadow was just cheap , no color payoff really....just my opinion ladies..lol

if you love pigments you should try pure luxe pigments.. you can get a sample of any color for like 1.00$ they are so pigmented and the sample lasts for 30 uses.

Do you think mineral makeup really helped improve your skin?? What other brands have you tried--I think you have said that you love Bare Escentuals. Did you have problem skin before and this helped with improving?? Do you only use Origins??

I had horrible skin before this! I had bad acne, so bad that I had to take Accutane. But, I found BM when I was a Freshman in High School and never looked back. BM is so natural you can ware it in your sleep! It helped a bit, but I contribute the acne clear up to Accutane. I use Origins for face wash and toner, Hope in a Jar for moisturizer, and Cadalé (spelling?) for an eye/lip treatment.

Do you also use the Mineral Veil with it? Because if not, the Mineral Veil will give you the matte finish you're searching for. It sort of acts like a setting powder for the BE foundation.

i tried proactiv and it totally dried out my face!! I have a really sensitve face. Even the clean and clear face wash dries out my face!!! I hope that origins face wash does my face well!!! I dont have like really intense acne its just the random zit here and there but it really annoys me so i hope this takes care of it!!! :)

Hey Carlypic! I don't know if anyone on here has tried this. But, Bare Minerals is launching their "Rare Minerals" line on February 1st and they have this new cleanser that I tried last night. I had a few break outs last night and washed my face with it to give it a try. I woke up this morning...clear face...I am going to that launch lol!

ProActiv worked for me, and my acne was pretty bad. I used it for 10 years until I 'outgrew' acne at about 37 years old. I didn't have dry skin, I used the cleanser, toner and lotion, didn't have any trouble at all.

I use the Photo Finish from Smashbox. I love tha stuff! It feels amazing too! But, the key is to start with a good base. As soon as i wash my face I put on Hope in A Jar Moisturizer then I put on Photo Finish. Do you have the Mineral Veil from BE??? Also, the coverage is all up to you. The more coverage you want, the more product you put on :)

Yes i have the MV. I just started putting the mineral veil on before the foundation and after and I have been adding extra foundation to get the coverage I want. I am liking it much better. Still not getting the staying power though. And I even use MAC Fix +! I will try the Photo Finish.

Would you say Sephora is the ebst brand for make up brushes? How much are they? I don't know if you can get them here in Sweden, though. :( Also..what type of brushes would you reccomend one to have? I usually don't doa lot of shadows because the brands I've had have been cheaper and end up looking really uneven and unblended with sharp lines and lots of fallout, but I'm thinking with better quality shadows and better tools, I could learn to master it. :)

You can also use VISINE (for eyes) as a mixing medium. I had an old contact thing that I used to scrape some eyeshadow into and mix with visine, works great!

Oh damn, yes ProActiv does suck! I don't know if you've heard my rants about how my face used to be...but the long and short of it: I had bad acne and had to take Accutane (The most powerful Acne drug out there) for a year. I tried ProActiv when my face was in "remission" (lol) and it seemed to reverse the process! Ugh...hated it. But, I found the Rare Minerals a month ago and have been using it at night...works great!
