Yes, they do have the range to fly from coast to coast, and we often fly them on this route. This is called Trans-Con. iflydelta1101 was asking if they can fly trans-atlantic, meaning can they cross the Atlantic Ocean non-stop, the answer to this is no.
No, 737-900ER dont have the fuel load capacity to make the transatlantic flight. Continental uses the 757-200 as their single aisle transatlantic aircraft.
What flight is this?

Great plane, I'd prefer to fly on this over an A320 any day. Quieter, smoother, faster.. stronger too.
Don't some A320 operators complain that during certain seasons they can't get enough nonstop range out of the A320's they operate?

Gotta love a 737-900ER, especialy one painted in a 75th anniversary logo!
As for the operation of the A320 during certain seasons... I havent heard that one berfore, but im no A320 expert, Im a 737 expert. :)
This is so random, but, just for clarification, the 737-900ER is a main competitor with the A321. While its the 737-800 that competes with the A320 :D

How the 737 has evolved! Thanks for putting up this video of the 900ER! As far as range goes, I think they can fly coast to coast in the U.S.
