I just had a thought. I have an SD 8A battary pack for my SB 800 flash and it requries that I plug in a little plug into the PC Sync hole as well as the plug in the front of the flash. Where would I be plugging in the receiver to be able to remotely trigger my SB 800 with this little things? I worry because I would be using the SB 800 more than any other flash when in the field.
I've read that you don't have to plug the SD-8A into the PC socket to function. I'm not fully sure why they have the connecting there in the first place.
All you have to do is plug the supplied cable in the the PC port on the side of the flash under the rubber cover. Then plug the other end, which will be the 1/8' mono, into the Cyber Sync receiver. It works great, I've had them for a while now and I still love them. I don't get to use them as much as I'd like to.
Not on the unit, but there is a sync socket on the side. You could technically velcro it to your camera and plug it into a PC socket on your camera. I'm sure this would affect the range in some way, but it may be shorter that way.
I've been using my 3 receivers and my trigger for about 1 month....they rock. I never fell for the cactus crap, i just went straight bees. My question is this: why don't we see them more often?? the freakin' wizards r stupid big, twice as expensive, only have 4 channels instead of 16 yet people seem to blindly buy them like they're goin out of style! how is that possible??? are people not doing enough research or am i missing something? anyways, spread the word people! Shoot Bees!
Yeah, I agree. I was really surprised after using these units that I hadn't seen them before. I was searching and searching for an affordable wireless unit and nothing. Pocket Wizards were the cheepest. Until one day I just happen to be looking at the Alien Bees site and stumbled across them and I haven't looked back since. To anyone looking for an affordable wireless flash unit look no further! Aliens Bees Corp. You need more advertising!!! Thanks for the comment! Happy shooting.
I'm considering getting just about the same setup as you (considering genesis 400) do you have pics posted somewhere that you've used this setup ie. the Genesis & the Cybersyncs?
Mine are on the way. Every review I have seen has been as positive as yours. Coming from the ebay triggers I am excited to get something that works. Thanks for making the vid!
Your Welcome! These are night and day compared to the ebay triggers. These always fire, they don't have dead spots. My ebay triggers would not fire if I turned the camera vertical, these do nothing like that. Your not going to be disappointed. Congrats the great purchase!

How do we know you don't have freakishly large thumbs?

You're just going to have to trust me. They are fairly normal.

What Nikon flash do you use? Can the Cyber Syncs work with a SB-600?

This is probably because you can only buy from the manufacture. Not a bad thing at all--I will buy soon but PWs are available everywhere.
