  • Nations mentioned which have become democracies since the 1970s became democracies not because of the EU but because of popular movements in those nations to get rid of their dictatorships and since then, Italy and Greece no longer have elected heads of Government and Greece has been told there is no more money unless they do exactly as Brussels says. It no longer matters who Greeks elect to power, they have no right to determine Greek economic policy. Some EU democracy thats turned out to be.

  • White text on A white backdrop. Genius!

  • uk is strong enough to stand on their own two feet.the meaniong of eu is perhaps tp prevent future dept crises but it doesn't it still happens.in reality eu is set to control people, nations, economics and borders if you are not strong enough on your own like uk that is!

  • This is utter rubbish. The eu is undemocratic waste of time and money. There is nothing to be gained by being part of it

  • This video is a load of rubbish. It tries to make out that the EU has kept peace in Europe. It hasn't. NATO has kept the peace.

  • @mikesheen741 Natop couldnt keep the peace if it was handed to it in a bucket. its an organisation meant for war.

  • @CommanderMethos NATO might not keep peace in the middle East, but it has kept peace in Europe, and let's be honest, NATO hasn't actually intervened in any countries that I would call peaceful.

  • @mikesheen741 nato was originally set up to prevent the spread of communism in europe after the collapse of communist russia , since then its been used as a convient way to organize command structures during wars in places like afghanastan or iraq. the EU is an evolution of its predessor the EEC which was designed to keep the peace by making it imposible for member nations to fight each other on the principles of economic inter dependence.

  • @mikesheen741 to keep the peace requires activley interacting and cooperating on a great many things. after all if leaving each other alone worked WW1 would not of happened.

  • this is shit yes bull shit.

  • @itsayellowfig so 60 years of peace and the fact that a war between 2 european states would be impossible means nothing to you.

  • This video is just a load of rubbish. The EU isn't working, as the failure of Greek economic integration demonstrates, and will prove to be the EU's downfall.

Just think, what the UK could do for its citizens, in not forking out £48 million a day subscription, to the EU club; the Norwegians and the Swiss; both do very well as trading partners, (as the UK was deceived into believing its position to be) without the baggage EU membership imposes.

The UK NEEDS to leave the EU TOUT SUITE..!

  • @stringx25,You can hardly blame the EU not working for the crisis in Greece,we all know now that the Greeks lied their way into becoming members of the Eurozone.Tax evasion is rampant, amounting to 15Billion euros per year, and aswell as that Greece spends an amazing 6.5Billion euros per year on it's military, far to much for a country of it's size and in it's present state of affairs.

  • @SLPBritain.....Keep on dreaming SLP!

  • @stringx25,Having looked up the EU budget you can see that countries like Spain and Ireland who were once big recievers in the budget gradually going towards being contributors.Eventually a stage will come where as countries modernise they will need less and less money so we will then have to put less money in the EU budget.Infact as Ireland modernised over the last two decades thanks in a big way to EU money our UK exports to Ireland have increased by billions of pounds over the last few years.

  • is this an informative vid or a JOKE?

  • I know many Britons cite the cost of our membership of the EU as a good reason for leaving. I wonder what the cost would be of leaving. There is bound to be a cost - and other member states will not make it cheap. What about the annual cost of a family holiday to the Costas, Italy, France, etc ? Each family member needing a visa for each country at a cost of £100 for each family member. There you have it : families would lose out immediately. Perhaps the EU is a neccessary Evil ?

  • @valarmanwe Leaving the EU would be painful for a while, but at least we would be free of the unelected EU monster.

Norway and Switzerland have no problems with the costas, of the nature you describe.

Both of these country's do Billions of £'s trade with the EU, neither need EU membership to enable this trade. So why the need for the UK?

  • @stringx25 you do relaise the eu is just as democratic as any other wetern democracy. even more so in certain respects.

  • What a load of tripe.

There wouldn't be any wars if we simply had one huge World Empire with a dictatorship, doesn't mean it would be a good thing. And there is nothing democratic about the EU.

  • Excellent video! The EU is a democratic body with checks and balances and a relatively small bureaucracy. Birmingham, a medium-sized city has a bigger civil service than the EU, which is responsible for 500 million citizens in 27 countries. I certainly hope that the rest of Britain gets into the European mindset and begins to support more European integration. And @JamesCunnyy if you have any proof that the EU will start a war, please show me it because I somewhat think that's a pile of rubbish.

  • Well then you are a traitor then We dont want the EU and never should have joined it the biggest mistake Britain ever made and to hate or dislike the EU is not anti european at all too many people have been spoon fed lies about how the EU is a trading block it is so much more than that in fact we cant even control our own boders or deport foreign criminals thanks to these Corrupt unions i hope and pray that the day comes when Britian leaves the EU that would be a great day for freedom.

  • This video is a disgrace traitor kill yourself the EU will make the next war in europe if they dont let us leave since joining the EU are economy has gone from 3rd richest to 5th richest in world and now 6th they place restrictions on are businesses yet no other EU business has it they try their best to decapatate are country without making it imediately noticeable they are nazis and your brainwashed as soon as they announce it a federal state freedom fighters will start the next war.

  • @JamesCunnyy what is this war you are talking about? and becomeing the 5th richest has nothing to do with joining the EU we lost our empire because we were bankrupt after the 2 world wars (something btw will never happen again because of the EU) also we were 1st and slipt down to 3rd befor EU and what is this cap on our economy that we have that no other nation in the UN has, i would like to see that. what has the EU got against us? nothing ! we are just another nation just like france, germany.

  • @JamesCunnyy

our economy has shrunk due to globalization and emergence of new industrial powers such as India and china.

  • @JamesCunnyy

The big point is what is wrong with a federal state. a united Europe is a step along the road to a united earth. uniting Europe would set a precedent like none before it.

  • @JamesCunnyy

It is not Europe that is causing Britain to fail but pig headed fools like you who are so busy looking at the past that they cant see that the world has changed and that the as a nation we can not survive on our own. our time has come and gone. now is the time to unite with our European brothers and look forward to the future.

  • democracy! how is a European president and council that can't be removed and were not voted in democratic?

  • @murrchops

same way we cant get rid of our prime minister for 5 years

  • Cena60793, I don't see how our membership of the EU makes us any less of a nation,we still are a great country, the EU doesn't take that away from us at all.

  • @SLPBritain we dont need the european unioon we only do 9% of our current trade with them while they take 40 million a day in membership

  • @TheEnglishPatriot66,I find that hard to believe,do you perhaps have any links to back that up?

  • @SLPBritain "we still are a great country" Skint!, owing half trillion £, uncontrolled immigration, abandoned OAP's, crowded pothole ridden roads, £'s value down 20% in the last decade, rocketing living cost's; we pay at least 100% more for food, than we could buy on the world open market. And if this wasn't enough, we have an unelected, unaccountable, fourth Reich dictatorship in Brussels, calling the shots!

Right now the UK needs the EU like a hole in the head!

  • @stringx25,I was replying to the man's comment about the EU taking away from Britain of being a great country which is false.Given our history and the amount of influence the UK wields as a country we still are one of the great powers in the world today.

  • I'm still eurosceptic, countries that were one of the best in the world like Britain didn't need to be in the EU, only poor countries like Latvia and Slovenia do.
