Dude, come on. Seriously, your opinions are illogical even though I myself think "HSM" is overrated.
It's a MUSICAL! That's why people randomly start to sing and stuff. All musicals are like that.
But I agree it's overrated because its plot isn't original at all. You can easily predict what's going to happen and stuff. It's the same old "Should I do this or should I do that? Or maybe I can be both!" plot, which is getting worn out now. Why do kids like to watch the same plot so many times?

It's just the same old "star-crossed lovers" story that's been told for millennia, and was made just to make a buck and somehow it became a phenomenom.

I have never seen this movie, but from the title and the previews i know its stupid. This movie gives kids in elementary school a false sense of what high school is really like. These movies give a message that high school is great and you have the best time in your life. Wow, only way that happens is you are hot or popular, and if you are then if ur a girl than every guy will want to get in you r pants. People above the age of 12 who like this your an idiot, watch good movies, not these ones.

lol i totally agree with the 4th reason!!! i saw the first movie and it was enough for me to understand that this movie sucks! who would start dancing and singing in unison in a canteen all of a sudden? geez... it's not a musical ..it's CRAP! Phantom of the Opera, Moulin Rouge,etc. these are musicals with great songs and beautiful plot! but HSM is some crap about a bunch of kids who sing and dance in school hallways.. HATE that "movie"

I was dragged to watch the 3rd one today and i sat there with my fingers in my ears and my eyes shut all the way through cus the music is crap and the people in it think there ace when there not. By the end of it i was ready to slap Sharpay :D ace vid ;)
