Actually I wrote it somewhere between 1978 and 1980 and as a friendly gift I dedicated it to Tom... called it Tommy's Takeoff... Tommy liked it after hearing me do it and then we played it when i was in the Emmanuel Bros around this time..
As with most things we all played around then the melody and arrangement were mashed around from time to time.. but apart from a chord or two and a bit of the melody it's mine baby! [ken francis] and it wasnt written about V8's!
