  • The announcer says, "...into the crowd." Only 1 guy moved and the car landed on empty seats. Not much of a crowd. But I guess, as the saying goes, three's a crowd.

  • i was there in the 2 row to the bottom it scared me alot

  • Lot of good that fence did, eh?

  • so fortunate nobody was killed

  • can i beet that, no, do i want to beet that, hell no, can my buddy beet that, no can Carl Edwards beet that I don't know beet that Carl

  • Thats why I don't sit in the front row. yikes.

  • holy shit this was can-am? i go to utica rome every week and they use the same catch fence. guess they didnt see this.

  • Will someone please give that dog some water

  • That poor guy in the second row about crapped his pants LMFAO!

  • @a78monte lol but he still had to save his popcorn!

  • where was this at and was anyone hurt

  • @racinfan10 This was at Can Am Speedway in Lafargeville NY

  • Wow i bet that guy in the black hoodie must have shit himself! the car landed right in his seat! One lucky bastard. I would play the lottery if i was him!

  • screw your wife and save the beer

  • that looks like the oklahoma fairgrounds speedway

  • 1/2 mile is technically a short track...but down here in the south youll only see a couple short tracks as big as a 1/2 mile

  • haha dont spill the beer, anything but that.

  • For dirt racing a 1/2 mile track is NOT a short track

  • DON'T SPILL THE BEER!

  • A 1/2 mile track is a short track.

  • Not for up here it isn't.

  • @florida5fan---> a 1/2 mile track is not a short track for these cars, retard. About the biggest they run on. Some big block series and Silver Crown Series run on 1 mile tracks, but thats as big as it gets on dirt. These IMCA (and UMP) modifieds stick to pretty much 1/4-1/2 mile tracks.

  • nothing short of the kinds of fencing and car containment that they use at sprint cup and indy car tracks will stop a 2500+ pound racecar fromgoing through. And those BARELY do the job.

  • Note that the guy in black made sure to save his beer while he was running for cover. Classic...!

Saw a similar wreck at Stafford Speedway many years ago. All short track operators should look at this to see just how it can happen, and build fencing to avoid it.

  • This isn't a short track. It is a 1/2 mile track

  • Actually, were I grew up (New England), anything under a mile is considered a short track. Thus, until New Hampshire opened, short tracks were all we had in New England.

I loved the 1/4 mile tracks of my youth--Riverside Park Speedway and Plainville Stadium. Both long gone, but not forgotten.

  • keep in mind, this is a DIRT track, its completely different from asphault...

  • @nelsonn22 Mainly because dirt is easier to spell than asphalt.

  • was it Corkey Cookman?

My dad grew up at that speedway and said that as soon as i read him your comment.,

  • top that carl edwards!

  • Forget that the dog you can hear is killing me hahahahahahahaha.....

  • sorry...my dog was in the background when i recorded it off of the computer....he's a pain

  • hehe no no thats ok im a big time dog lover and nothing better than a mans best friend by his side lol sounds like he just wants a little attention hehe...

  • looks like a fan is getting a really big souvenier

  • I was sitting just 4 bleachers up from where my husband landed!

  • @ashmo1776 u know it wasnt ur husband stop making up shit to make u look cool

  • @SuperPeople360 Yes this is my husband would you like pictures to prove it ya frigin retard? or do you just want to talk shit and think you're cool? When you assume shit you make an ass out of yourself, but it seems like that isn't very hard for you to do!

  • @ashmo1776 hes not ur husban cos u where so defencive to say he was

  • @SuperPeople360 I'm defensive because I don't like the fact that i'm being called a liar for no reason...especially when you probably can't even spell liar! Like I told you before I have all the picture to prove that he is so when you want to see them and choke on your words just let me know!

  • that guy got out of the way quick. hes lucky he saw that and wasn't looking at another car on the other side of the track

  • Was anyone hurt?

  • no one was hurt....just some bumps and bruises

  • I aGREE WITH ARIZONARESIDENT1, also, when something like this happesns... do the ystop the race for the night, continue without fixing it, or continue after fixing it?

  • the blocked off a big section of the stands and pushed the fence back as much as they could and didn't allow anyone to sit there for the rest of the night.

  • @ryanandsamyt08 i don't know how it works at this track but in quincy, il they stop the race fix the track and then continue

  • that fence was like Paper

  • Can am. oh it looks like PMS

  • I know modifieds are one of the heavier cars but a well constructed fence should not allow this to happen... I've seen a few scary instances like this with my local track Manzanita but the fence always held up.... until they SOLD the place and closed it down!!!

  • @arizonaresident1 i agree 100% there are other tracks in phoenix where this has already happened, and the fence never got replaced. just stitched back together and re-used.

  • Never spilled his drink.. Hahaha

  • that looked like can am, place is bad fast when tacky

  • The woman in blue must of been the Wife??

  • sounds like his dog was interested too! lol there was a comment about the capraras needing to fix the fence... what track is this? i go to utica rome evey week so i know its an upstate ny track.

  • this is Can Am Speedway in Lafargeville, NY

  • That dude was lucky! He got out of the way and didn't spill his drink!

  • Haha you hear the announcer tell everyone to stay away and mobs of people keep running to the car. Good thing the tank didnt catch on fire......idiots. Only one or two ppl need to check on the driver.

  • this is why i believe ALL race cars should have fenders around wheels...whole thing could of been avoided

  • The same thing can happen with a late model.

  • Thats why you dont sit on the bottom row at the races!!!!

  • CORRECT!!! Especially with open wheel cars and definately when sprint cars are running lol

  • the Boone track is a really good track i go there every year but i only go for the weekend my dad goes the whole week lucky him

  • damn those imca's r crazy my brother won his first featur last here in the modlite division

  • we were there for the 7/5 ess show, when i saw that fence, i knew it was gonna happen soooner or later.hope the caparra's fix that,it's a real good track.

    glad your husbands ok

  • How would you know that would happen? Easy to say it after the fact. Maybe you need to get a stock car upside the head so you don't talk so stupid.

  • Im glad noone was seriously hurt. Funny the guy running away didnt spill his beer.

  • yeah...he left his gf sittin there, didn't even tap her on the shoulder just ran lol

  • The catch fence did not do it job, The fence should be fired.

  • they have reinforced the fence more since this accident

  • I hope he was ok and nobody was injured in the stands.

  • he was fine...just some bruises and whiplash basically...nobody in the stands got hurt at all we were really lucky that night that there wasn't alot of people at the track for that race!

  • What track was this at????

  • This was at Can Am Speedway in Lafargeville, NY the driver of that car thats flipping is my husband!
