Kudos to Taylor Hicks on "Dancing Queen"!

It is an okay song, and I'm proud of it, but I still wish that ABBA had tried to make a hit out of "Genetic Test", the song they rejected from me in 1973 back when I was still writing songs for them. It was great to see Taylor and the whole band having such a great time after a grueling tour..........and just let go. And nice that fans were in on the joke! Tho he surprised us all with DIMYP.

The story with this was that Taylor and Loren Gold, the keyboard player, joked about the band being an Abba Tribute band. At the Graycharles site fans voted for Taylor to sing Dancing Queen. Ever the fan pleaser Taylor obliged near the end of his spring tour. This is a Soul Patrol favorite.

oh my I was at this concert May 12 in Seattle at the Moore. Do I make you Proud to finish the rein on that show AND his first solo concert, AND coincide with the graduation year of high schoolers. This reminded me of OK NOW THAT SILLY SHOW IS OVER AND WE ARE READY TO CUT LOOSE AND PARTY. Thank you Mr. Hicks AWESOME concert. Can't wait for your book in JUly. :D AWESOME.
