  • I've never had a blood orange before, but I bet they're delicious...I've always juiced my oranges before blending, but never put them in the blender in the form that you've done it in the video...Now I want to try it that way...I love this smoothie that you made and the only thing better than the process of making it, is drinking it...Both are very rewarding...Being 100% raw is easy to do, and, the more you do it, the more you want to do it, and the more you want to do it, the more you will.

  • thats SWEET! thank you so much for posting. I am slowly getting into RAW I really want to try this smoothie

  • how wonderful! thank you!

  • you are so beautiful

  • Thanks for reminding me about "Doctrine of Signatures", what was the URL of the website you mentioned on this video?

    You are SO fun!

  • I've actually decided to go 100% Raw, not 100% Rax

  • Haha, and I was so excited to hear about Rax!! I got an image of a prehistoric rat with wings :))

  • Hi Therese!! I've decided to have a mini 30 day experiment of my own with going 100% Rax. My hubby & I are going up to Qld in a couple of weeks (YAY!), so I've set my starting date as 20 Oct. Any tip & tricks for staying on track? With just the smalled changes that I've made so far, I've found that Raw Food is such an amazingly powerful tool with depression. The changes that you've experience have inspired me to go all the way. Thanks. :-D

  • Have tones of fruit to munch through. When I go away I fill an eski with: Blood oranges, mandarins, apples, pears, kiwi's, papaya's, avocado's, watermelon, almonds, brazils, macadamia's, sunflower seeds, raisins, dates, greens and superfoods! Just eat tones of salad with lots of different kinds of greens. Chopped up papaya, bee pollen (if not allergic) and lime juice fruit salad is just awesome!

Hope that helps :))) Oh, and drink as much high quality water as you can... Go for it!!

  • Awesome smoothie...my love at the moment is green smoothies with banana, coconut water + some meat, strawberries, kiwi fruit, cacao, cayenne, barley powder, goji berries, and loads of kale and parsley. I really gotta get my butt over to Alive Organics and check out they're stuff. Do you know of any Raw Nutritionists/Dietitians/Naturopaths?

  • Wow.. Smoothie sounds rockin! I'm gonna try one. There used to be a 100% Raw Naturopath that worked at Alive Organics but she had a bubba last year and I'm not sure if she is back. Maybe worth calling them tho, to see if she is consulting from home.

  • Watching what it has done for you I have considered eating more raw foods, but I don't think I would be able to give up the meat.

  • I didn't think that I would ever really want to give up meat either. I grew up on a farm and used to really enjoy eating lamb! I practically lived on Tuna a couple of years ago!! From experience, if something in you encourages you to eat more raw foods then just do it and experiment, have fun :) If your body one day decides that it doesn't want meat anymore you'll know it :))

  • Oh cool, grew up on a farm too - I guess Lamb must be one of the main food animals there...I actually always wondered that. I did hear something about kangaroo meat but I think that might of just been a joke. On our farm we had cows, pigs, and several types of poultry - needless to say I was born to be a carnivore, but I really do think I'll try to transition to a few raw foods.

  • What about raw meat? Sushi/Sashimi?

  • Yeah, it's a really good option if you want to experiment with transitioning away from cooked meat. I guess it just depends on taste buds.. If they like it, then go for it :) I used to looove tuna sashimi, ate lots of it!!

  • I have never seen an orange like that! Wow. Yum. Great video.

  • Apparently there is a biblical story that accounts for 'Blood Oranges'... Dad was telling me about it this morning. It is said that when Christ was on the cross some of his blood spilled onto an orange tree turning the flesh inside the fruit blood red. Interesting if true huh....
