Drifting on a straight by weaving until you lose traction is known as Saudi drifting, mainly because it's done a lot by car enthusiasts in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. It is pretty goofy.
As far as i can remember, yes, you don't have to drift in order to complete the game. However, that is not the case in PGR4 because there are some challenges where you need to keep earning kudos to pause the clock.
thats prety good for pgr the problem whith the game is they make u slow down to much when u go completely sidewise makeing it hard as hell to get a good drift like in forza2
exactly, altough the main objective of pgr (opposite to forza) is not to be very.. real. The driving is very stiff, extreme (unreal) cornering and grip. In forza it is a lot more real, a lot softer (with normal cars)
umm im using a mid-level video editing program called "Pinnacle Studio 10" its flexible (by default it has an "easy" mode but you can change that working layout) and the results are not so bad
for more professional stuff i use Adobe Premiere but it requires the use of external programs for graphic stuff editing because the internal tools are not sooo good.
altough i still dont like any pc editing software as Final Cut on the macintosh, it is a great experience to edit video on that.. and its even more pleasant with a DV camera in hand hehe (too bad mine is not working anymore)
right now to capture video on the pc im using a pinnacle moviebox usb which has an integrated processor that compressed the video to MPEG 1 and 2 in real time
