The "conservatism" you address in these videos is more aptly defined, in modern parlance, as libertarianism or "classic liberalism". "Liberalism" actually used to mean simply a certain set of political beliefs that promoted (true) liberty and rights (as opposed to the "right" to health care). Unfortunately, progressives on both sides of the aisle co-opted the terms "liberal" and "conservative" to push federal government's intrusion into other people's lives in the forms they selfishly wanted.
