  • Another blue lit case.......... Really??

  • @PinoYKiiD907 Yup...

  • how bright is the xigmatek dark knight fan led?

I want something dim and cool without getting easily distracted by it since i have a window side panel.

  • @BIGDADDYF50 Somewhat bright. I'd rate it like 6/10 for amount of light produced

  • Nice poster dude

  • you can't install a second fan because it doesn't have slots for the fan brackets unless you get creative

  • This one is not silent

  • Did you install the fan onto the fins with needle nose pliers?

  • Dude and what about Xigmatek XLF-F1454 LED BL 140mm this fan is it quiet because I`m gonna use it in my rig Please help enthusiast guy

  • is it possible to mount another on the back end of the heatsink fins?

  • @RyuuMasato If you have the space you could rig up a rear fan. I do not believe the cpu cooler kit comes with extra fan mounts though.

  • Nice chiptunes, used to open up keygens just to hear them. This one got a lot of playtime. :D

  • @Damecos Ya these tunes are really catchy!

  • does this work with am3 phenom ii x6 1090t?

  • @EmperorZhang66 Not sure =[ Details from newegg listed below: All IntelSocket 775 CPU Core2 Extreme/Quad/Duo Pentium Extreme Edition / D Celeron D All Intel Socket 1366 CPU Core i7 ALL AMD Socket K8 754/939/940 CPU Athlon 64/FX/X2 Opteron Sempron ALL AMD Socket AM2-940 CPU Phenom X 3 X 4 Athlon 64/FX/ X2 Opteron Sempron
  • @niggataytay300zx Thanks. It uses the same socket as an phenom ii x4 so i think it should.

I have seen someone with it on their rig so it should.

    Thanks :)

  • @MJBDC7 Yes you can with almost any 120mm fan you want.

  • i set my cooler like you on amd system !!! :)

  • @smileforeverever How so? Maybe I shouldn't do computer work under the influence so I can figure stuff out lmao

  • I have a Antec 1200! 1GB 4870. Phenom II X4 955BE. A Crosshair III Formula board, 4GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 (@ 1600Mhz), Windows 7 64 Home Prem, 1010Watt FSP Modular PSU, etc, the only let down with my rig is:

the HSF! It cost £19, an it's a step up from stock. It's a Super Quiet 22dBa Triple Copper Heatpipe with what looks to be 90mm fan. Its max speed is 2150rpm via PWM. The heatsink is quite big.

Will the smaller, nickle type DK be better? I need better temp drops. My CPU is 37degrees

  • @UKFX Get a good name brand cooler like a Zalman or a Xigmatek and you will have cool temps. That CPU runs hot! AMD quads like any quads produce a lot of heat and I always recommend a Cpu cooler

  • Nice callender :)

  • @Morganhesketh Thanks I just recently took it down though =[ Look at the year hahaha

  • @Morganhesketh Thanks haha I retired it sadly =[

  • what is the case by the way?

  • @YajC131988 Antec 1200 =D

  • how to install it on amd system like you my lights look down at dark nigth cooler lol

  • @smileforeverever My buddy has the xigmatek (red fan) cpu cooler on his AMD and it as well can only point up or down =/ The Nzxt Tempest Build in my videos ;]

  • Mario Brothers soundtrack ?

  • @bespreDELLXPS Its a Keygen song, I can find the name if you like

  • Do you like the XIGMATEK fan?

  • @meekoman25 Loved it when I had it. Computer is sold now =[

  • @niggataytay300zx How come?

  • @meekoman25 Need money to build my 300zx twin turbo =/

  • @niggataytay300zx What car did you put it in?

  • @meekoman25 I have two Nissan 300zx's The twin turbo model I am working on to try and get 400whp stock turbos.

  • @meekoman25 Cool

Oh, i have a different question. Does this set up look fine to you?

    AMD Phenom II x2 3.1GHz

Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB SATA Hard Drive

    Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB (2 x 1GB Sticks) (PC3 10600)

    ASUS M4N75TD ATX AMD Motherboard

XFX GeForce GTS 250 Video Card

    XFX P1-650X-CAG9 650W PSU

  • @meekoman25 Try to find a motherboard which has the option to unlock extra cores. Then maybe you can turn that dual into a quad for free. Also I'd recommend not to get crucial ballisitx tracer unless you want to go through the hassle of replacing them a year later. Watch one of my vids and you'll see my experience with crucial tracers. Besides that everything looks fine =]

  • @niggataytay300zx Thanks. The motherboard does have a core unlocker and I didn't know that the Crucial memory stick had problems. But they do come with an lifetime warrenty

  • @meekoman25 Yes but I've read about people going through 4 sticks in one year =/ If you're up to sending stuff back, get the ballistix The lights are so cool, sadly mine maxed at a year lol

  • can you tuen the led off?

  • @utubeb14

    no.

  • hehe, nice music. Are those Ultra heat spreaders on your RAM? I saw them online and might wanna try something like that

  • Thats one awesome PC!

  • @ekipsss Ty ty =]

  • What heatsink fan is that?

  • @itchyfingers89 NM, fucking dumb question. Just ignore it

  • Ugh... I cant stand video card fans! They always go out first, and theyre always the loudest! Anyway, I had a crappy compaq my dad had bought about 3 years ago... Has 1GB ram, 200GB HDD, AMD dualcore, and Vista... It used to be fuckin slow! And would just randomly freeze... Well, To cheaply fix the problem, the fan was doing nothing except blowing air on a wall, i reversed the fan to suck air insead of blow.... Well, it fixed the Freezing and slow problem! Intel heatsink on an AMD processor.

  • @ccraig412 And everyone knows AMD's need some air... Cause if they dont get it... They WILL overheat... Thats another reason why I like intel... >.>

  • what Geforce Card is that?

  • Comment removed

  • @wallonthefloor nevermind, its the same card I have but a different brand

  • @wallonthefloor 260 gtx

  • probably a stupid question..im about to buy this heatsink and i was wondering if the fan blows air into the heatsink or sucks it out?

  • @MrPrunecandy Not stupid at all.... It can be setup for anyway you want it to push or pull! You can have it pull through from the front, blow back from the front, pull through from the back, or blow through from the back =]

  • very nice! question!! what case and power supply do you have? they look great!

  • @flyer56 Thanks Case- Antec 1200 Power Supply- Kingwin Mach1 700w Modular

  • QUESTION! about tempature, whats like the normal tempature on idle or when gaming? would like to know cuz i might buy this one.nice vid

  • Temps during idle for stock e8500 @ 3.16 were about 38C-42C in my florida where my room temps were 80F or 27C During gaming temps never rose above 50C Oc'd to 3.8 ghz temps stayed below 55C all the time easily and idle was about 42C A pretty decent cooler for performance and looks

  • just got one and got to say its lite and it works very well in my lian li pc-p50 armorsuit case. great vid niggataytay300zx. dig the retro tunes :-)

  • @omygod666oms It sure is a great cooler for the price! Thanks so much =D And the keygen music I believe goes very well with the computer videos ;]

  • It is a pretty cool cooler, is it better that the Cooler Master Hyper 2010 plus or the OCZ Vendetta 2? Thanks. Oh... The stock fan has white leds? :)

  • Im not too sure about performance compared to those other heatsinks =/ But any xigmatek will perform very well. From my memory, the OCZ is very good but I havent heard much about the Coolermaster. Youtube search for vids and Im sure you'll find vids with test runs with the coolers you look to purchase =] And yes, the stock xigmatek fan is semi transparent black with nice white leds =D Sry if I couldnt help anymore

  • Thanks mate, and dont worry, your response was very helpful, I just asked because those benchmarks are not always certain, some websites plce the dark knight above the 212, some others dont.

In short, I just wanted to know if you are happy with the dark knight cooler and how many degrees less are you getting in comparison with your stock cooler (dont know which CPU are u using though)

  • Gotcha and ya its hard to compare temps when the heatsinks are used with diff cpus and thermal compounds. I was very happy with the dark knight and it may not bring idle down much, but temps barely increase at full load. Id def put it at the top of my list for a 40 dollar cooler

  • k thanks i might get one then, because it'll go into my Antec 1200 so it'll blow the hot air out the 200mm fan.

  • Antec 1200... Nice choice =] That amd cpu fan setup would work great with the top 200mm fan

  • is this cooler AM3 compatible?

    Nice rig.

  • Thank you And yes it is Im pretty sure, only thing is that the mounting system makes the fan blow air up or down. Not side to side like Intel's mounting setup

  • Does it come with thermal paste?

  • Yes but i dont recommend it

  • LMAO at the chick on your poster. HOT!

  • Very =D I threw her out though =[ Re did my room and tossed old posters lol Notice its really a calender and dated waaay back

  • which PSU is that?

  • Kingwin Mach1 700W Amazing PSU

  • Can you tell me what the music is - where to get it from?

  • 1:30 --- BZZZZZ oh shit!!! MY CAMERA !!!

  • @dragonblood199 Haha Too close huh?

  • haha. Ya =D Check out my pc ^_^ Your's is better, but still they are very similar.

  • And what case fans are those ?

  • All the case fans are stock antec 1200 fans except my side fan which is now a coolermaster blue 120mm led

  • where can i get xigmatek white led fans? or those Stock antec blue ones?

  • Try newegg(dot)com Last time I checked, they only had xigmatek red led fans =[ And the fan on the heatsink is the one that came with it (white led)

  • Does anyone know if they sell the fan separately ?

  • They sell the red xigmatek's fan on newegg separately. Not sure about the black/white led one

  • I got a Rocketfish that looks exactly like that and the famn on its run att 2800rpm and i payed 7 bux lol

  • Nice haha

  • how tall is it? or how much clearance is needed from the motherboard, to the other side of the case? my case is around the same size at the antec 1200, but it has a fan in the sidepanel.. will it still fit? if not, my damn case won't let me have this :(

  • do your research. quit being lazy and look up it. its 159mm tall. you do the measuring

  • 6 seconds...nice :)

  • Agreed =D

  • Agreed =D

  • would you happen to know how this stacks up to the cooler master hyper 212 plus? i'm trying to decide between that and the dark knight

  • This will out perform it because of the tru touch technology of the base.

  • the 212 plus does too. cept it has 4 heat pipes and it doesn't look as cool as the dark knight.

  • how many RPM's for the fan? heard it was pretty good :)

  • I got mine up to 2000 RPM for 100% =D

  • That fan Is awesome : )

I will be buying It soon for my pc

  • It is =D You will love it and your cpu will love how cool it keeps it =] Make sure of space jus remember, this a big cpu cooler =O

  • looks like a sweet setup :)

  • Thx =] Only problem is now I hava bottleneck CPU! 1.86 ghz fail lol overclocked it still sux

  • dam

  • what case you using ?

  • antec 1200

  • hey man ,one more question ,i was wondering what mobo you have because i have a gigabyte EP45-UD3P (rev 1.1) and my NB heatsink is pretty big ,and i was wondering if it would fit on its side like your one with my NB there ??

    thanks

  • It should fit but Im not sure. Search youtube to see if the heatsink was used on your board or a similar gigabyte board

  • hey mate nice vid 5*!

so if you have the lga 775 socket you can mount the cooler so its like your one ?

  • Yep =] Sideways

  • w0000000000000t ,do you rekon if you move the computer around or drop it a cm or 2 ,would it damage the mobo ,cause it seems a large cooler

  • is that true? Would it damage the mobo if like you move it abit?

  • hmm well it is a well built cooler ,so it is heavy and yeah it can damage the mobo

  • It can damage it, but its difficult... My case use to take a beating in my car and the cpu cooler and mobo were fine =D

  • How did you mount the cooler to face the rear of the case? The way mines set up, I can only have it face up or down, not front to back.

  • AMD bracket only allows up and down mounting =[

  • Wow I had mine set up wrong I have it backwards..

  • Nice airflow in that case, these xigmatek series has good airflow and powerful fan, nice!

  • I love your set-up

  • Looks sexy, the smoke black fan and white LED's go really good with the chrome, looks sharp. I just ordered this cooler for my new rig.

  • hey brother got a ? for ya i know darknight is a fantastic cooler wondering what temps your getting im torn between this and the v8 was the install easy i also plan on ocing please include your specs

  • When I had this in my computer I had the e8500 oc'd to 3.8 ghz It idled around 40C and maxed at 55C after extensive stress. Pretty good cooler and temps for florida where I live

  • nice calender^^

  • hey is that a SuperFlower PSU i see there?

  • Kingwin

  • Am i correct in saying that there are 2 different versions of the dark knight: the s1283 and the s1283v? I'm asking because if there are 2, do both versions come with the crossbow-like brackets that can fit a 775 mobo?

  • I noticed that too. To my knowledge they both contain the cross, but to be sure, Id contact new by Live Chat and ask them right now.

  • you'd contact who? And is 'Live Chat' a particular program/service? Just that u used capitals for it

  • Haha sry I typed that when I was drunk

    Go to newgg(dot).com Then contacts

Then go to Live chat where u can talk to customer service in real time

  • Lol. No worries. Yeah i actually just bought the s1283v today which came with the mounting bracket. All good=) Thanx anyway

  • What case do you have?

  • antec 1200

  • i have this cooler and i love it its the best one ive EVER had pluss when the fan dies you can replace it the only issue i have with this fan is the mounting brackets for the fan itself i norm. idel at 19-22c and i havent seen it past 38c and im useing a i7 i got a video of me benching my cpu check it out tell me what you think best if you watch it in HD and in full screen so you can see the time

  • Very good =]

  • what case u have?

  • Awesome setup! I dont like your choice in RAM though.....Im more of a Dominator guy.

  • Thx =] and I usually use Crucial ballistix in my computer, I put in this OCZ reaper just for this video so the led's from the crucial didnt interfere with the Xigmateks lights

  • Thanks =D

  • your system looks nice

  • <33333

  • nice computer ^^

  • i think it will look pretty cool if u changed all the case fans to the same fan that is on the dark knight.

    what do u think?

  • Ya it would be awesome and unique =] Only thing that sucks is the fan controllers wont work anymore and to replace the fans would cost like 70 bucks in fans lol

  • Im sure it will help temps a lot. The thing is, do you think this Heatsink will fit in your case? This thing sure is tall =/

  • A considerable amount. But it also depends on your processor and case cooling etc Wat cpu do you use and what case do you have?

  • Hi can you tell me the name off your PSU looks nice with the blue LED´S

  • Kingwin Modular 700W

  • Thats freaking sweet =)

  • lol nub they copied the monsoon 3 no?

  • It has a similar design Id say

  • Wow awesome looking cooler. I may have to look into this, my zalman is getting boring... Then again I want to change out sh!t in my PC before I even have it for a year lols.

  • Lol I got ya

  • How loud is this?

  • Very quiet. My old Zalman 9700 use to scream but this Dark knight is quiet as can be =]

  • Oh, one more thing is that Dark Knight touching your side panel when you close your case

  • tahts awesome! wahts the idle temp?

  • Sits around 40C wit E8500 @ 3.8 Ghz

  • Hey mate,whats ur Xfire? ^^

  • taylord321

  • and what happened to the crucial ballistix?

  • Thanks =D and ya that was you on xfire haha

The ballistix take away a lot of the light from the CPU cooler, took them out for this video =/

  • Thanks =D and ya that was you on xfire lol

The ballistix light drowns the cpu coolers, so I took them out in this video=/

  • whats ur other ram? they have heat pipes?

  • OCZ Reaper 1066 2x2Gb

And yep, they have heatpipes =]

  • I have 6 gigs of the reaper would that fit with that heatsink??

  • Do you have the same mobo as me EVGA 750i? If so they would fit easily.

  • nah rampage extreme 2...1337 socket

  • After looking at that motherboard, Im sure it will fit and have clearance for the tall reaper heatsinks =]

  • my temps are about the same too so i assume mines healthy

  • nice new cooler, nice new case.

and i was that one on xfire roflolol

  • Looks nice man! Just ordered one of these for my son from Newegg to slap on his lil E5200. Clocked it up to 3.3 on stock voltage and the stock heatsink/fan was letting it run up to 60c under load. I hope this cools it down. I've heard great things about these coolers.

    Nice rig!

  • Im sure this will bring those load temps way way down =] I seated mine three times to get the optimal temps I wanted. Might seat again with the given paste from xigmatek and see how it holds up. In this build i used Artic Silver 5

Good luck with the cooler mate =]

  • Yeah it definitely helped. Idles at 24c and under Orthos never goes over 44c. I can't believe what a difference it made.
