Expert village is just trying to get hits. They have no creditability in my eyes. I am a shop teacher and there is no way I can show someone how to use a tool in 2 min or less and feel confident they can use it independently. I can't even here anything in this one due to audio quality. Lighting sucks, he doesn't use the tool. This is actually one of their better videos. Scary, isn't it???
This video helped me. Why do they even need credibility in your eyes....and while we're on it, what is creditability? Really? Creditability? Is that the ability to have credit? wow. Shop teacher, huh? Couldn't make it in construction or a real major???
Let's see about not making it. I am my own boss, get lots of respect, enjoy working with students, gain satisfaction from teaching others, get a check every 2 weeks regardless of weather, even in the summer, speaking of summer - I get them off to do contractor jobs that I want, not just ones to try to pay the bills! It takes a 4 year degree to be a shop teacher, it takes a high school diploma and someone crazy enough to hire you to call yourself a contractor.
@FoxHighShop Why don't you do something constructive here instead of comparing yourself to a contractor. Maybe you could make a video that would really be helpful. I am a contractor, I have a high school diploma, I am a little crazy sometimes. I do own my own business, but I try not to take things too seriously. Lighten up, man, and please know that those who are not just like you have a lot to offer.
I have several videos out there. It takes more than a minute and a half to teach how to use a router. Label your video "intro to routers" not "how to use them" when you don't even show how or explain how. It took me 40min to explain everything I teach in my class on video. Granted that's more than most people want to know, but youtube is making it too easy for non/underqualified people to give advice on how to use equipment. Expert Village has a history of videos like this and it is annoying
The title of this video is "How to use ..." I didn't see him show us how to use anything. He just talked about what a router table is and it wasted my time.
