i have a little sister who will be growing up to all the new children shows that are nothing to the shows i grew up with..so when shes old enough instead of letting her watch the new wiggles on TV im going to get the Video player out and let her watch the original wiggles the wiggles that i grew up with and the wiggles i still love to this day :)

Greg and the Wiggly Wiggly Christmas Video came to the rescue in the middle of the night when my infant daughter was sick with fever and couldn't sleep.
This video was the first time I ever heard this song, or even heard about what had happened to Greg. I started crying when I saw it. He was my favorite Wiggle when I was a kid. I started watching the Wiggles again and I remembered how much I loved them, especially Greg. He can never be replaced. To this day, this is my favorite tribute to the Yellow Wiggle. It's a beautiful video and the perfect song, and it still makes me cry. Thank you, aubzistired, for making this video. I love it. :)
@mfolan11 Greg is very much alive & doing great. He spent the last 3 years getting his health turned around & in September 2009 said that he was ready to return to singing via solo concerts. You can see part of his tv interview on youtube "Greg Page Interview on 60 Minutes." Besides performing, he's also planning a CD, touring in the future, does motivational speaking, M.C. work, heads a research fund for O.I., does charitable work & oversees his 2 million dollar Elvis memorabilia collection.
@HaileyXxXJamie I didn't discover the Wiggles until I was 9, when my second nephew was born - I spent that summer and the next summer at his house every day (except weekends) and the Wiggles was always on. I still know all of their songs, and I even found a Wiggles coloring book last November that had Greg in it. It's a huge coloring book, and just the fact that Greg's in it makes me want to cry. He was so amazing...
I adore Greg and it makes me so sad to see The Wiggles going on without him. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they are continuing to make amazing videos, concerts, and shows for children. It's just not quite the same without him. He seems like such a gentle soul.

Greg's health is very good now, apart from from little symptoms. He is holding rehearsals now, and taking his first steps back to performing. Greg was quoted as saying " I want to get the music right first of all, then I want to get the formula right in terms of where I perform and how often. Greg did his first solo show Saturday night (9/20/09) and the tickets sold out within an hour of going on sale.
Greg Page was forced to retire from performing in Nov. 2006 when he was diagnosed with a chronic condition called orthostatic intolerance. O.I is a disease with symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, fainting, etc. With various medications and learning to manage the condition, his health has improved a great deal. He even performed publically for the first time last year since retiring.
Greg made 4 t.v. appearances in 08: July interview 9AM show; October guest appearance on This Is Your Life; November interview Sunrise show; December interview A Current Affair. 2 radio interviews; magazine & newspaper interviews. July Greg hosted NSW Tourism Awards & sang some Wiggles songs; October he sang Burning Love, It's Midnight & Come on Come On at gala dinner. Hosted Christmas program in Melbourne & played in November charity cricket match. No current word on future appearances.

I have the feeling that when most people see my name on a video, that I will say something about Sam. This may be true. But, I would hate for anybody to think that that means I do not absolutely adore Greg, and all of his marvelous work. I miss him more than words could say, and this video just brought me to tears. Greg, your 15 yrs with the Wiggles will be fondly remembered by so many of us.(kids and adults) I was privileged to attend a Wiggles concert here in Auckland with my children when they were preschoolers and saw the rapport you had with your audiences . I am so sorry to hear that your enjoyment performing with the group has been cut short prematurely . I hope the memories will somewhat make up for this disappointment and wish you all the best as you learn to deal with your health condition.

Of course not. There is no "taking over being the magician." Even Wiggles HQ has acknowledged this. Greg is actually a magician, and did magic tricks because he's had a lifelong interest in magic. This particular hobby/interest belongs to Greg alone. Symbolically speaking, there is no longer a magician in the group because they have lost their magic without Greg.

im sure if greg had it his way, he would be back, but he could no longer perform as he had a heart condition where the blood would not pump properly around his body, so he lacked oxgyen which made him continully faint, i miss him even though i dont watch the wiggles anymore, its not the same without him im 17. he was a very good wiggle and i hope he reads this. just so show much people love and adore him
Greg doesn't have a heart condition. He told the WMB his heart and all his vital organs function perfectly. He has a condition, Orthostatic Intolerance, which is the failure of the body to adjust to an upright position with respect to heart rate, blood flow and blood pressure. It can cause fainting, extreme fatigue, shortness of breath & many other symptoms. Greg is the BEST Wiggle, and he is greatly loved. He is much better now, and wants to return to solo work as soon as his health allows.
I wish sam was gone and greg was back. I'm 11 and share this account with my sis and greg was way way way x1000000000 better than sam. Greg is the best wiggle who ever lived and so is murry, anthony, and jeff . But greg was 1 of a kind. He was a great wiggle.
My daughter has verbal dyspraxia. She can only say a few words. "GREG" is one of the few words she can say. She doesn't understand who "Sam" is. Try explaining that to a 3 year old!! Love you GREG!

I'm not sure if that is meant to be facetious, but if not, Greg is alive & doing well in Australia. He has spent the last year & a half learning to manage his condition, Orthostatic Intolerance, & has recovered a good portion of his health so far. He has started to enter the public arena again, doing T.V, radio, & magazine interviews; working on a solo CD; & hosting an awards show in July where he "wowed the audience & sang some Wiggles songs after pleas from the audience."
I don't think it's particularly melancholy, but an appreciative tribute in honor of all that Greg accomplished as a Wiggle. It's natural for some sadness since we have "lost" him - although technically he is doing well & still with us. Greg has a delicious sense of humor, but may have found it hard to laugh when he was told(wrongfully)he most likely had a fatal disease & had 7 years to live. He's talked about his reaction to that, so he may not find similar remarks funny. To each his own though.

Greg, your 15 yrs with the Wiggles will be fondly remembered by so many of us.(kids and adults) I was privileged to attend a Wiggles concert here in Auckland with my children when they were preschoolers and saw the rapport you had with your audiences . I am so sorry to hear that your enjoyment performing with the group has been cut short prematurely . I hope the memories will somewhat make up for this disappointment and wish you all the best as you learn to deal with your health condition.

Of course not. There is no "taking over being the magician." Even Wiggles HQ has acknowledged this. Greg is actually a magician, and did magic tricks because he's had a lifelong interest in magic. This particular hobby/interest belongs to Greg alone. Symbolically speaking, there is no longer a magician in the group because they have lost their magic without Greg.

im sure if greg had it his way, he would be back, but he could no longer perform as he had a heart condition where the blood would not pump properly around his body, so he lacked oxgyen which made him continully faint, i miss him even though i dont watch the wiggles anymore, its not the same without him im 17. he was a very good wiggle and i hope he reads this. just so show much people love and adore him

Greg doesn't have a heart condition. He told the WMB his heart and all his vital organs function perfectly. He has a condition, Orthostatic Intolerance, which is the failure of the body to adjust to an upright position with respect to heart rate, blood flow and blood pressure. It can cause fainting, extreme fatigue, shortness of breath & many other symptoms. Greg is the BEST Wiggle, and he is greatly loved. He is much better now, and wants to return to solo work as soon as his health allows.

I wish sam was gone and greg was back. I'm 11 and share this account with my sis and greg was way way way x1000000000 better than sam. Greg is the best wiggle who ever lived and so is murry, anthony, and jeff . But greg was 1 of a kind. He was a great wiggle.

My daughter has verbal dyspraxia. She can only say a few words. "GREG" is one of the few words she can say. She doesn't understand who "Sam" is. Try explaining that to a 3 year old!! Love you GREG!

I'm not sure if that is meant to be facetious, but if not, Greg is alive & doing well in Australia. He has spent the last year & a half learning to manage his condition, Orthostatic Intolerance, & has recovered a good portion of his health so far. He has started to enter the public arena again, doing T.V, radio, & magazine interviews; working on a solo CD; & hosting an awards show in July where he "wowed the audience & sang some Wiggles songs after pleas from the audience."
BTW, he looks great!

I don't think it's particularly melancholy, but an appreciative tribute in honor of all that Greg accomplished as a Wiggle. It's natural for some sadness since we have "lost" him - although technically he is doing well & still with us. Greg has a delicious sense of humor, but may have found it hard to laugh when he was told(wrongfully)he most likely had a fatal disease & had 7 years to live. He's talked about his reaction to that, so he may not find similar remarks funny. To each his own though.
