  • Oh Yea, bought one brand new back in "86" in my early 20's, I over had the words: "Bad To The Bone" painted on the back spoiler... I about had a heart attack when I went to put new rear tires on it, ( because I burnt'm out) they were $250.00 each!!! Holly Molly!!!

  • IROC stands for International Race Of Champions

  • I like how is showed the speedometer and 50mph...

  • IROC stands for Italian Retard Out Crusin

  • I'm 19 and I spent all summer wrenching on and driving my beautiful 1986 IROC-Z I bought myself. Had to sell it because I'm heading back to college soon but it turned out to be one of my best summers in a while, didn't regret a moment of it. Wish there were more kids my age doing the same thing

  • @badfish107 im 17 and got a 86 IROC that i will never sell

  • only a few cars get the IROC title, glad this is one!

  • i thought it was the chevy IROC *space* z28

    not the IROC-Z!?!?

  • @MiGFourteen It was for 85-87. After that they dropped the "Z28" moniker. I may be missing it by a year, but I believe that's correct.

  • @johntvette they never dropped the Z28.

  • @Z28inNC Yes they did. For a couple of years it was just the "IROC-Z", not the IROC-Z28.

  • @johntvette oh, nevermind. I though you meant that they stopped making the Z28 lol

  • @MiGFourteen it was never "IROC Z28." IROCZ is a technically a options package for the Z28. so basically, IROC's are upgraded Z28's

  • lol what?!?!?!?!

  • LMFAO gotta love car commericals i love how there hyping speed... and at .13 it shows it goin 50 MPH

  • I had a 86 IROC-Z..thought it was just a lemon..then I bought 2 more GM vehicles and realized it is a GM thing...What junk..

  • @kharper39 Blasphemy! Never insult the General!

  • IROC= Italian Retard Out Cruising HAHAHA Beautiful car.

  • What's that ladies? You want to go fast? Why don't you take a seat in my IROC. Yes, I know... I could have bought a real sports car, but then I wouldn't be a dbag stuck in the eighties!

  • @classicrckr Get back on your bicycle, and buy another 40 oz of swill.

  • the ultimate mulletmobile, lol.

  • Feel the thunder!!! of 51 miles per hour !!!

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • No rear brake light on the hatch! That was not a 86 Iroc sorry!

  • @SLeDHeaDDude800

Yes it is...pause it on 0:13 the speedo has got to be the 145 speedometer only the Irocs had.

  • wingmanalive? more like the dumbestmanalive wife > car? haahhahaha car > wife anyday she said it had to go? shoulda told her to gtfo now dont you look stupid? no 88 iroc AND no wife.

  • That's funny. I remember that commercial. I didn't remember it being so cheesy though. :)

  • I FUCKING LOVE THESE CAMAROS

  • My old man has a 86 IROC Z with under 500 miles on it. He bought it when I was a kid but was too fussy to have kids in the car. He eventually put it on blocks, covered it up and starts it once a month. Nice car, kinda big and square...not really my style so probably give it to my kid when I eventually inherit it. May be considered a classic by then.

  • Im 14 and I Own a 1986 Camaro IROC that I Bought for $600 That Im currently restoring :) <3

  • heartbeat of america you got it

  • THE HEARTBEAT OF AMERICA! FUCK YEAH!

  • go to mychannel to check out my camaro

  • Wow what a rebel that guy is! He wont go over the speed limit though.

  • @mercmarc hahah i was thinking the same thing

  • come check out mine on my channel

  • 0:13 omg 50mph FEEL THE THUNDER!!!!!!!!!! lol

  • @TheMikeyEl The speed limit was 55mph back in the day, how old are you ?

  • @srcej6 i know 55 was the speed limit but is there a rule that everything in a commercial has to be legal? think of the mustang dreamer ad or the chevy ad featuring the full line up loading on the truck from the superbowl a while back. im just saying 50mph isn't exactly "thunder" maybe they should have showed acceleration

  • @TheMikeyEl Well lets not forget Chevrolets multi million dollar C6 Corvette ad known as "A boys dream" where the little kid is supposedly flinging around a bright red vette through the city. Moms everywhere went batshit and the commercial was pulled almost immediately.

Basically what I'm getting at is car manufacturers don't want to make a bad image for themselves breaking the law or encouraging others to do so. That's why most car commercials say "closed course professional driver".

  • What a huuuuge pile of dump.

  • @bleckndecker you are a huuuuuge pile of dump these cars rock what do you drive? a pinto??? hahaha

  • just got me a 1984 z28 i love this body style

  • Listen to the heart beat?

more like listen to the wanker sing!!

    you tell them mullet boy.

  • HAW HAW TRANS AM IS BETTER

  • i liked the "look we're still under 55mph like good little boys" shot.

"Feel the Thunder" ...of the '80s... lol

(no offense to the '80s style wise though. my '87 Regal rocks.)

  • beaut of a car.

  • you can smell sex in that car

  • that smell is cornchips... AND REGRET!

  • @battyguy i regret meeting you... the camaro legacy owns hard

  • Best body style ever.

  • @joeysixtysix Totally, but on the Trans Am in my opinion was the 98-02

  • @joeysixtysix dam straight... my dream car is an 89 z28

  • Never again this stylish! Sigh

  • Should have removed the t-tops and let the mullet fly free!

  • In the garage all day?

  • it's sad that you actually went to a camaro video just to post that. just drive your little 5 point slow and keep your mouth shut.

  • that was in response to wuano1989. for bjm908908, the fact you had to use "gay" in your comment discredits anything you have to say.

  • The 1986 camaro iroc-z will always be one of the best production cars ever made. It is still alot better then of most of todays Hondas and BMWs. American muscle plus American quality is what made Chevy the worlds best car maker in history. Only buy American because if you dont you are supporting terrorism.

  • BMW=Deutsch=NATO=ally=Afghanistan Invasion (forgotten War)

    terrorism...??

  • You have got to be kidding right?

  • I love Chevy they are the true Heartbeat of America. Some may call them a scam but I love their cars.

  • nice, but i think that camaro was going to slow for a camaro. o well, hot car.

  • I owned and loved a 1988 IROC-Z28. Fully loaded with T-tops and all. 5.7L TPI engine and all the extras like the premium Bose stereo. Got married. Wifey said it HAD to go. Now that she's gone I want my car back!

  • Dude... should have tossed her out in the first place hahahaha. My condolences about the car.

  • wow, sorry to hear that. maybe you'll get your car back one day like papa johns lol

  • Damn U, u shouldn't let her (Camaro) go, keep it in ur garage. Who cares what she say. Someday ur gonna get ur car back like Bumble Bee (1st Gen.) in TransFormers (film). If I was married, I wouldn't sell my car or gave it away (I own a 1989 Mustang 5.0 LX HB) & do what she say. Ur car is ur woman.

  • @wingmanalive not i don t not personal your stupid as hell so to speak to put that iroc away best appealing handle car of that time

need to search search til you find a good one i dream allllll mi life

again appoldges its not a personal attack not a attack don t how to write this message

  • @wingmanalive I have a 2002 Camaro that I brought new back in 2002. I'm hanging to mine for good. They're whey too much fun not to own. I like the older Camaro more than the new ones.

  • @wingmanalive Dude, dont EVER get rid of a car for a girl! I always see that, and it's total bullshit. If the girl your with WANTS you to give up a car that she doesn't have to drive, get a new girl! My wife loves my sports cars, just not the cash I spend modding them. BTW - I have a nice survivor 85 Z28 TPI t-top, auto, all original, mint, 105,000 miles. If the price is right, I may sell for a 5 speed 5.0 version. MAYBE.

  • @wingmanalive

why did she say it had to go

  • @v6firebirdv6 She said it wasn't practical. She couldn't see cars seats in it. :P

  • @wingmanalive

i will never let my car go. even tho its a base

  • @wingmanalive my wife would NEVER make me get rid of my camaro.... ever. sometimes i think she enjoys it as much as i do. its an RS started out life with a 305 tbi, but now a 350 tbi resides under the hood. 350 punched .030 oversized, edlebrock cam, headers, 3" exhaust, bored throttle body, performance chip. it goes pretty good, its no slouch. right now its sitting under a snowbank waiting for spring. no salt for the camaro. salt belongs on my food not on my camaro.

  • @ad356 I wish mine had the same opinion. She was just a different creature, interested in other things. I still love her even though she.......................well, choose a different path.

Still want the Camaro back though.,

  • @wingmanalive ur a sucker!!!!!!! lmfaoo!!!

  • wasnt that dar robbinson????????

  • I got the opportunity to buy a 88 IROC from a 16 yr. old who never drove it. It just sat in the garage as it did before he got it.

I am happy that I was able to get a piece of American history & that it's in great shape, both inside & out. With some mods these cars are a powerhouse.

  • put some real tires on it & ur gettin closer.........

  • --==JEALOUS==--

  • the IROC-Z came with either a 305 or a 350 and the name IROC came from the International Race Of Champions (IROC)

  • i remember when i was a kid in the 80's any one who had that car got all the bitches... my cuzin still has his... he used to bump guns n roses all the time... great memories

  • hahahahah yea

  • Dumb commercial but awsome car! I love my 88 iroc-z 350 tpi all stock . It doesnt have alot of horsepower 230 compared to cars today. But it still runs 0-60 6.5 secs and the 1/2 mile 15.0s not bad times considering its 21 year old technology. It shreds the tires and lots of torque! The 2002 rsx-s does 0-60 and 1/2 miles about the same time. I still have so many upgrades I could do too! Why all these guys like these rice burners is beyond me?

  • I love this car so much, I would do anything for one of these. I always look around for a cheaper one to fix up but they always need too much work and I'm only in high school. I have a 93 Grand prix Special edition but I like this more. The 80's were the best for music and cars its a shame about these days.

  • you've got that right!

  • All this commerial needed is Air Wolf as the Heilcopter.

  • wait a sec, this is '86 It needs Mavrick and Goose Fly-By in an F-14.

  • get that helicopter shit outa here

  • thats what she said, man dis commercial rocks i miss dat bout 2day my boy had an 87 fast as fuck

  • I want to feel the thunder!!!!!!

  • The exhaust on the 86 IROC sounded the best and it was fast!! I always wanted one because of the louvers on the hood!!!

  • lol, I like how the speedometer says 51MPH...

  • IROC VS AIRWOLF who would win?? Awesome..Iroc's didn't have corvette 350 5.7L til 1987. Less the corvette exhaust manifold and heads.

  • that looks more like a 85 iroc then a 86 iroc at 0.11 u can tell

  • You're right, its missing the 3rd brake light that was roof mounted in '86.

  • the 86 iroc came with the 305 tpi motor not 350 tpi motor

  • They didnt start putting the LT1 in camaros until 93 with the fourth gen body. The IROC package mainly has to do with the suspension.

  • i know that guy is not smart is he

  • The standard IROC came with the 305, but the 350 WAS an option in 1987. It was the L98 engine or something, but it WAS a 350. My friend has one.

  • oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh 50 mph

i do like camaros though so dont get me wrong

  • yeah, I think that was hitting red-line in overdrive too!!!! ahahaha! I had a 88 305 with a ass whooping 170hp!!!! Yeah....I was pretty much feared on the streets!! LoL! It would do 82mph in first gear though! 2.73:1 baby! felt odd always burrying a tach....but wtf!

  • i still have a 1989 camaro. i love the car, its fun to drive. but the 305 tbi is a weak performance engine. it does run forever 171K and still very strong. i have an RS camaro with a 305 tbi. i wont ever sell the car either.

  • bet you left plenty of ricers behind;lmfao

  • The dude in the helecopter (Dar Robinson) died soon after this commercial was made. he was a stuntman. He never broke a bone in his 19 year Hollywood career. On November 21, 1986, Dar rode his stunt motorcycle past the braking point of a turn, and straight off a cliff, to his death.

  • did you guys notice the speedometer reading 55MPH?

  • chevere. cool commercial.

  • ¡que viva los IROCS!

  • heart beat commercials sucked, the older taking charge ones were great

  • Is this sung by the same guy that sang "Push It to the Limit" in Scarface? Sounds just like him.

  • haha just gotta tune em back up to the 225 hp X-D

    i got a 86 yellow iroc-z

  • Thanks for putting this up, i love the IROC-Z but 86 wasnt the best year to get one, because they were detuned back down to 190 HP.

God gotta love the HeartBeat Of America commercials.
