@mooniekate Your use of the word ignorance is like the bleating of a sheep! You're going to 'call' me on what, hater? The person I was talking to hadn't read the text, so how could we discuss it? I know that small details, such as actually knowing what you are talking about, don't concern you; however, the rest of us would prefer to speak intelligently, so if you wouldn't mind climbing back on your broom and taking your primitive hatred elsewhere...
Seeing the lady calls 'SANTA' a historical fact at 7.40 I've got licence to get a little intellectual with my mockery of atheists & religious folk.
As the GWB occultist Saul implied you must believe the omnipotent omnipresent omniscient cosmic magician exists before the reality works for you so when the Christ said to Jews around him (Quote) 'HAVE I-NOT SAID YE ARE GODS' don't you create the reality of god or it's opposite by belief?
(Lucy is both god & Satan fools) (Fcuk god AND his alter-ego)
@mooniekate You still don't understand the grand scheme of things Genesis 6 mentions of these. They're not actually relevant, u can sit & monitor all the atoms & the fossils but it is God that wants all the souls that know the Holy Grail to eternal life not about what is surrounding it. This life we have here is fleeting. Science told us we had 4 dimensions 25 yrs ago, today they say we've more than 14...WE CAN'T see the entirety of the Universe. Part of our knowledge is to use our spiritual...
@julichoi888- "They're not actually relevant"- yes they are, because they directly contradict biblical claims. The bible says man was created independently from other organism, yet genetic evidence disprove this and show mankind could not have originated from two people. The bible also says animals were independently created for their habitats, and again, genetic evidence disprove this. Science is built on data. The stories on the bible are not built on historic accuracy.
We can't possibly understand why God does things this way or that; we are merely His playthings. And some of these playthings gained consciousness/intelligence just like Neo, Trinity or Morpheus in The Matrix > Atheists.
WOW...HERE HERE @bornagain001 WHY IS IT SOOOO ANNOYING THESE PEOPLE THAT MADE AN ENTIRE SHOW FOR ATHEISTS...AGAINST GOD! If it does not bother these people then why sit for hours to talk about it!? That is too funny scripted?...The guy on the show that we script what we say, I mean what every single Atheist has said is scripted too...TAKE ALL THAT PAIN & SAY SORRY TO GOD...Simple, I know that is just antagonizing more Atheists...gee I think I would rather have a bath than listen to all of this!
@julichoi888 Yeah the live call in show is scripted since that makes sense. How do these people get away with a show about atheism in a country that actively discriminates against atheists? What assholes they must be. As for saying sorry to God? Why? Either he doesn't exist or he should be giving humans an apology for all the crap he's apparently responsible for.
WOW. The anger and bitterness in your life has CONSUMED YOU. Unfortunately, because that is sin, you can never rid yourself of it and it will continue to fester in your life like a cancer. ONLY JESUS can both remove it from your life and forgive you for it.
@ITrollThis You are absolutely right: established churches use the threat of Hell to frighten people into church, but anyone who believes in God out of fear does not really believe in God; he just believes in saving his own ass! Churches use this lie for what they see as a good purpose, but lies are never good, and the whole Hell issue is irrelevant. Check out my video if you need more explanation.
1 Timothy 4:10- This is why we work hard and continue to struggle, for our hope is in the living God, who is the Savior of all people and particularly of all believers.
1 John 2:2- He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.
@j919or Debunk this agrument. Why are you a hate inciting, bible worshiping, divisive human pile of waste? Hmm maybe you just can not help yourself because you are really an antitheist trying to get everyone to hate christians. I debunk you at every step. Debate me or admit you can't.
No one enters heaven just bc they dont want hell. In order to enter heaven and experience heaven here on earth, one needs to be changed from a rebel of God to a friend of God, thru the forgiveness of sins and the cleansing of that evil by the indwelling presence of God.
So hell is just a heads up. Ppl cant say "Why didnt someone tell me?" when really even if one told most ppl about hell theyd still reject God and by default choose hell.
@j919or No one enters valhalla just bc they dont want hel. In order to enter valhalla and experience heaven here on midgard, one needs to be changed from a rebel of Thor to a friend of Thor, thru the forgiveness of weakness and the cleansing of the love of frost giants by the indwelling presence of Thor.
So hel is just a heads up. Ppl cant say "Why didnt someone tell me?" when really even if one told most ppl about hel theyd still reject Thor and by default love frost giants in hel.
@mooniekate Ah, the mating call of the hater. See her in her natural habitat, roaming the countryside for food. Notice the way she can unhinge her jaw in order to allow four times as much hatred loose at once... ;)
The person I was conversing with, before you barged in with all the grace of a dump truck, told me he has never read the Gospel of John, which is the key text from which my beliefs proceed. One must read a book before discussing it, yeah? Perhaps you won't understand this...
@danielhmanning There was no hatred in my post, just the honest truth. I've read the gospel of john, as well as the other 65 books. See, I wanted to know for myself and did the research, which brought to my conclusion. This isn't a cafe, with everyone at their own tables, this is fucking youtube! If you put that kind of ignorance on display, I'm going to call you on it.
@kkdkk7 Sorry to keep you waiting, friend. Unfortunately, or fortunately perhaps, I can't answer your last question directly; you'll have to read it for yourself. The main passage is the gospel of John, chapter 14, but to understand it, you'll have to start at chapter 13. You may also need to continue on a bit; it'll be up to you, of course. You're bright; you'll see what I'm talking about for yourself when I tell you that I believe he was telling the truth, and about what. Let me know.
@danielhmanning You mean, you can't logically explain your reason for believing in Jesus, so you're going to throw some biased, delusive, and fallacious propaganda at them. If you can't explain, not even your views, but why you have those views, then how can you justify having those views in the first place? The bible has just as much validity as Homer's The Odyssey, which we know is just a story book.
@mooniekate Yes I can explain the reason....so your mum and dad made you based on the fact you are an Atheist...so are you going to say to your mum/dad ''Yeah I want prove that you both made me...don't care about the evidence 'Birth certificate' etc because back then they did not have the technology....but it was all planned immaculately so that we can only use our ''FAITH'' and know by the testimonials/evidence...if that is not enough we have today's miracles that I can put on here...
@julichoi888 That made absolutely no sense. How do you explain dinosaur fossils and the fact that they weren't in the bible, and the fact that, in genesis, god creates animals, asks adam to name them all (there are 1,589,361 known today and around 10000 discovered each year), then goes on to create adam? How did adam name them if he hadn't been created yet?
@kkdkk7 You misunderstood, friend, and the floodgates seemed to have opened; no longer am I the reasonable conversationalist, but just another Christian with blind faith. ;) I said that I believe that Jesus was telling the truth. Your next question, if you really were interested in what I was saying, should have been, 'telling the truth about what?' Would you like to know? I'm asking because my answer is going to be compelling, but I don't want anyone to think I'm pushing beliefs on others.
@kkdkk7 Why do I remain faithful, despite the confusion that has been caused by time, by cultural boundary-crossing, by translations and mistranslations, by politics, by interference by evil and ambitious men, by the infiltration of non-Christian ideas into Christian tradition, by competing gods and competing religions and atheism and abiogenesis and that nagging part of my mind that questions everything? It's simple: I believe that Jesus was telling the truth.
The problem with saying that ".. Jesus was telling the truth.." is the same problem as what u mentioned earlier ..
U see, its generally accepted that Jesus did not physically directly write the bible, not even the parts detailing his life. There is a real possibility of the writers embellishing his life story, like what u said, due to political reasons. Jesus is a character in a writer's arsenal, since no proof is required in faith, the writer is at complete liberty ..
The problem with the ancient times is that there is no rigorous scrutiny aided by video cameras, photo cameras, or the scientific methodology to establish believability .. Personally, I myself takes most historical accounts of ancient lores and sayings with a pinch of salt. Make room for political embellishments and debasements, ancient writings are never fit to be taken to be unadulterated.. not to mention as a belief to be accepted wholly.
@kkdkk7 I am a Christian precisely because I follow Christ and his sayings. Most of his first followers were probably illiterate; they didn't need scriptures to be a Christian-- not that it's bad to read scripture, but there were a lot of Jews who'd read a lot of scripture and still didn't recognize Jesus by his words--God's words. I still haven't mastered 'love your neighbor as you love yourself' so why is more scripture necessary? ;)
And yes, I do believe the more fantastical events, too.
U r respectful and appreciates a sincere discussion which is not based on the need to win at all cost .. thats a basic component for intellectual honesty and I appreciate that.
Pardon my tone as I usually do not fashion my arguments into a polite gift box complete with a bow .. figuratively speaking.. hehe ..
Its amazing to me , always , how pple can pick up a mix-mash of half-truths and half lies, and label themselves into a conventional and flawed pigeon hole .. pardon me but this is how it seems to me ..
But I must admit this - I think most atheists and agnostics are a bit too carried away in demonising Christians like what u said ..
Personally I find most Christians today r quite civilised and non-violent even when dealing with issues they object to .. like homosexuality and so-called heresy. Its a far cry from the old days of witch burning and inquisitions. In fact Christians r the only allies of atheists and agnostics against the threat of extreme imperialistic islamists..
@kkdkk7 where in the Bible does it say that the whole Bible is the inerrant perfect word of God? ;)
Whenever I discuss my views on the Bible, atheists always say I'm being selective. Yet the Bible itself is selective, having been compiled by men during Roman times. I'm not accusing you of this, because you seem like a reasonable person, but I get the feeling that atheists find my intelligent faith disconcerting, and try to argue with me as if I'm a fundamentalist; they choose my beliefs for me.
Its great that u dare to detract form what most christians say - that the bible is not inerrant, based on what the political heads of churches did during its compilation.
Of course, as a non-christian I do not believe the Bible is inerrant, I am merely saying thats what most christians are saying.
I'm just intrigued by how u wld be so faithful to something thats been so adulterated n tainted by the dirty hands of superficially religious but politically power hungry scribes ?
@kkdkk7 now let me ask you a question. Let's say that someone gives you an anthology that contains 66 individual stories. You read them all; some you dislike, some you find boring, some you found too hard to understand, some you questioned as being just plain wrong, and some you thought were amazing-- the best, most inspirational stories you ever read. But then I come along and tell you that you must believe all 66 were amazing, or that they were all crap. How will you reply?
I don't agree with u saying that the Atheists misinterpreted the sacrifice thing, becos most christians say basically the same thing .. only they put it in a nicer way to make it sound less psychotic.
Christians say that Jesus is indeed god and he died as a human to absolve human sins - its the quivalent of saying that god died on the cross so that he can forgive human sins of which he is the judge. Loony stuffs which I don't pretend to understand when it actually is loony.
The problem with your selective belief is that all the parts in the bible are all tied together in the one big religious bedrock foundation statement - "THE WHOLE BIBLE IS THE INERRANT PERFECT WORD OF GOD".
If any one part of the bible is flawed, the legitimacy of the whole of the bible and the whole christian belief is called into question.
If u choose to believe Jesus's sayings and discard the rest of the bible, are u merely a supporter of his sayings and not really a christian ?
For example, I don't call myself a Buddhist just because I share the same belief with Buddha that we reap what we sow .. I merely agree with some Buddhist sayings, but I don't religiously follow the mythical aspects of the beliefs so I am not really a Buddhist.
SO, I guess the question to you is this - Aside from sharing the pacifist viewpoints of what Jesus said in the bible, do you accept as facts the more fantastical aspects of biblical claims that Jesus is god and that he died as a human so that mankind can have their wrong doings forgiven just by thinking and believing that he is god ?
@kkdkk7 that's the atheist interpretation, which has been intentionally misinterpreted for maximum effect. Jesus wasn't a human sacrifice; he was the last messenger God sent in a chain of messengers, and like the others, he was killed by the religious establishment. His death is symbolically similar to a lamb being sacrificed to take away sin, but he himself wasn't a sacrifice because sacrifices are burned, and they don't come back to life. Youve been misinformed by theology, friend.
...or rather, to beat people into submission. I'm not into converting people, but as educated people, you should know the real story. I made a video about Hell, and invite anyone who wants the real facts about it to watch. I promise that it's not a recruitment video.
I don't get it .. since u merely believe in the existence of god, why don't u just call yourself a theist , but u go one step further to say that u r a christian?
( U see, most of the Atheist Experience hosts are not against theistic beliefs .. they just find that the dubious doctrines that come along with some specific religions to be harmful to the individuals and society at large.. )
@kkdkk7 I'm a Christian in the sense that I follow, or at least do my best to follow, the teachings of Jesus. The teachings I'm referring to are the ones I've read for myself, and not the ones told to me by pastors. I ignore all doctrines and theology as unnecessary, or even outright misleading, which is by definition harmful. But like I said, doctrine is unnecessary for understanding Jesus, and since religion is essentially doctrine, religion is unnecessary for understanding Jesus, too.
Umm .. so u believe that god turned himself into mankind and sent himself to live among mankind, later sacrificed himself to himself to beg himself to be less angry with mankind and then go back to heaven again ?
If you belief the Jesus part of the bible, why would u discard the non-Jesus parts of the bible when both come together to constitute the so-called "God's words" ?
No offence, but it just makes me curious what is going on in people's minds ..
The caller was absolutely right: if God sends good people to He'll, he is not God at all. But this doesn't prove that there is no God; it proves that THE DOCTRINE OF HELL IS A LIE. I'm a Christian, and I see Hell for what it is: a tool used by churches to bring people
@danielhmanning Put it this way.. Churches/Christians preaching their beliefs without using the "Hell card" to convert people = 99% less Christians worldwide. Easy as that.
There was a mother who gave birth to 3 sons, decided to hide herself while the babies grow up, left behind clues for the them to find out the true identity of her as their biological mom and a dateline to do so.
As the babies grows up, each having a diff personality began their own searches. One managed to identify her, she embraced him n showered him with wonderful things. The 2 who failed to do so by the dateline, she locked them up to torture them endlessly.
Would you beat your child with a baseball bat for not brushing his teeth? Would you stab your child in the stomach for not doing his homework? Would your toss your child off a cliff for stealing a cookie? Then, why would God torture his children forever for simply not believing he exists (especially if he never does anything to show himself)?
Although to be honest I wouldn't use the 'what if god is testing for skepticism' argument myself. Because A) No atheists beliefs that. B) It's just as stupid an idea as god testing for gullibility. You still have a monster that tortures you if you don't perform a trick correctly. The whole premise of 'life is a test, you don't get to understand how the test works, but if you fail you BURRRRRRNNNN!!!!!!' is ridiculous.
Me, what I like to do is determine if they belief in a hell of eternal torture. Then if so I'll point out that even a god that was not benevolent but merely just (lawful neutral in geekspeak) would not create a hell or even allow one to exist, because infinite punishment for finite transgressions is disproportionate retribution, and therefor by nature INJUST (and evil.)
Sure, I know alot would sputter or start to yell at you, but this is an easy one to stick to your guns with.
If someone told me their god is beyond human understanding I'd ask them how the fuck they can claim to know ANYTHING about it. Like.. if they can't understand their god, then why do they have that whole religion, build on a premise that they CAN understand their god (namely, know it's will!)
The gift of God is eternal life for those that trust Him to enter their lives and change them. Youd have to be an utter fool to reject that. But I understand, I was that fool for so many years. I praise God that he didnt give up on me. Eternal life(love joy peace) started for me several years ago and gets better and better as I yield to Gods work in me.
@j919or replace the word god with thor and you'll see why thats a completely ridiculous and quite frankly an insane thing to say and seriously mean it.
And now I will expose that you are completely ridiculous and insane for forming and presenting such an argument.
There is one God but many teachings about God. Exam the teachings about God and then tell us why you think that the teaching of God that includes the word Thor is correct and/or the teaching of Jesus is not.
Hint: Jesus' teaching is the only teaching of God that is self verifiable. IOW God lives in believers and changes them.
@j919or How the flying fuck is that argument proving anything or anyone ridiculous or insane? All you did was regurgitate your own bullshit beliefs & say "I'm right, you're wrong." What's really ridiculous & insane is that jackoff's like you still believe in fairy tales. There is no god/s. You say 1st believe then god will come. That's entrapment. Fuck you & your god. BTW, don't even try having a "reasonable" argument with me. There's a 0% chance I'll say anything nice. Hail Sauce, full of Beef.
@j919or Translation is I'm just sick of Theists. Ya'all make me feel stabby because you're mindless fucking idiots with a misplaced sense of ego-maniacal self riotousness. Every convo ends with " God loves you anyway" or some other fucked up jab. Eat a fucking turd and bloody well choke to death on it, fucksmear. I have nothing nice to say to Theist jackoffs or their messed up bullshit beliefs. Ya'all can fucking die.
@j919or Just shut the fuck up, ya zombiefied fucking troll. What the fuck are you even doing posting shit on this channel? You think this is a recruitment office for your fucked up god thing? Nobody here wants to hear about tour placebo god that you self medicate with. At least my pot actually gets me high. BTW, I'm not angry...telling piece of shit trolls like you that you're a complete waste of fucking time, skin and breath makes me feel all giddy and shit. Fuck you. :)
@bornagain001 Im guessing that he had no mamma but was raised by skinheads. He is merely blowing smoke and has no rationality nor logic. He uses social scare tactics, which work well with the cowardly.
@TheCrimsonification My mom's a creepy theist cunt too. I've not spoken to her in over ten years though. She used to tell me that I was being tricked by Satan. She would ask me the standard dumbass theist questions and when I shot them down very, very easily she stopped listening and wouldn't listen to any logic whatsoever. Happened every time. So I decided she was a cunt and stopped talking to her. There were other reasons as well but that was a big one.
@xJoeEDangerouslyx ....She was right. You are being tricked by Satan....as well as most of the world. Your own HATRED for your mother is a result of the SIN WHICH CONSUMES YOUR LIFE. Just because your mother did not know the answer to your questions did not mean the answers do not exist. I can hear the HATRED in your life just by how you speak. It will eventually drag you into HELL if you do not deal with it.
@bornagain001 Eat a turdburger and choke to death. you fear pushing religitard. Nobody wants or needs to hear your incoherent ramblings of an Invisible sky dude. Go fuck a light socket, cunt.
@xJoeEDangerouslyx Oooooh! "Let's compare shitty lives" My momma was a whore I ain't talked to since I was 8. She was a new age "Jesus saves" hippie that apparently had other kids I won't acnkowledge as siblings. Most of my family is Atheist, and those that aren't , I ignore completely. Truth is thicker than blood.
I feel u. I have those thoughts sometimes and then I ask Jesus to take control and cleanse me of evil thinking, and then I suddenly have all this patience and love. You dont have that remedy. But you need it.
@j919or i dont think any of the teachings about god or thor are correct,. that my point, that you have no more evidence than people who believed in thor a long time ago. self verifiable? sounds like circular "logic" to me. yes, i understand religion changes people, it can cause them to hate gays, kill witches etc. fuck you,, fuck your imaginary friend, go die in a fucking whole and rot you worthless piece of shit
lol the guy's argument about wondering why God sends his "children" to hell doesn't make any sense. Plenty of parents get rid of their kids if they defile them enough. If my kid treated me like shit and didn't believe that I was their creator and never followed any of my rules, hell yeah I'd get rid of his ass...
@moorg745 you can still love your children and punish them. EXAMPLE: I don't know any parent who would let their kid get away with murder and not let them be punished for it.
@tEhWhIteDuDe Name one crime that should be countered with the punishment of burning in hell for all eternity. ETERNITY!! Every second of every day of every year!
@moorg745 well, he really isn't a burning pit of fire for all eternity, hell by definition is just separation from God. The lake of fire was reserved for satan and his minions. and sure enough i think murderers don't deserve to go to heaven. but i'm not God, i dont decide who does or doesn't. I leave it up to Him. stop hating christians, hate God, it's His rules...
@tEhWhIteDuDe In that case fine. I don't hate Christians in general but I hate people who think I deserve to be tortured for eternity just because I disagree with them. I may strongly disagree but you have a right to your religion.
@moorg745 nah man, only ignorant stupid "Christians" think people like you deserve to be tortured for eternity. I don't believe what Atheists believe and Atheists don't believe what I believe. I just voice my opinion only to defend my beliefs. I don't force anyone to listen. Same could be said for Atheists.
@tEhWhIteDuDe Just to clarify, we don't believe in anything supernatural, hence the word belief is arbitrary and useless when used in conjunction with atheism/antitheism.
@KreatorRage lol well i mean, I could say you believe that there is nothing supernatural existing in this universe and that would mean the exact same thing as to what you just said, that's still a belief though.
@tEhWhIteDuDe you would get rid of them? would you send them to suffer in eternal agony if they didnt believe you were their dad? what if you left before they ever saw you, gave no evidence that you are the real father and gave them a book which gets almost everything about the world wrong (ever seen the biblical cure for leprosy?), would you still send them to a place to be tortured for eternity?
@wearestarstuffsagan first of all. The first definition of hell is just separation of God. It didn't even mention anything about torture until revelation. Even that, the devil and the prostitute were thrown into the lake of fire. Second of all. It's not the "cure" for Leprosy, It doesn't ever say cure (cures were rarely possible back then). they were considered "unclean" in biblical times, It was a ritual called "cleansing" and afterwards they were let back into the city.
@wearestarstuffsagan I believe in hell as a place where God bans you away from Him, media just portrays it as a burning place down under. And not "clean" as in get all the bacteria off. I said "Cleansed", you'd figure someone trying to present there point in an argument would be able to read and understand the differences between the two words. btw, It was a different time period. I'm sure if you went back in time you would be made fun of for your clothing.
"I believe in hell as a place where God bans you away from Him, media just portrays "
Actually the common concept of "Hell" is from a play known as Dante's Inferno where Dante takes a tour of the different layers of Hell,Limbo, and Heaven and where someone ends up depending on therir deeds in life (Athiests end up in Limbo with Plato,Socrates, and a lot of non Christains)
What is missed is that the Layers of hell are "purification by pain" and all siiners eventually"assend"in time
@TheRealArchAngel We get to spend eternity with people like plato and socrates.... with no ignorant bible thumpers trying to twist arguments and assert falsehoods.... we get an intellectual paradise? This seems more like heaven to me
"we get an intellectual paradise? This seems more like heaven to me"
I know what you mean
Bible thumpers version of "Heaven" seems more like a Eternal Church Service...one that most of them cant spend a mere 2 hours in without dosing off at least once in their life...lol
Oh and most bible thumpers miss he key problem with "Heaven" and "Hell"...neither is specifically mentioned and in the Bible and reference to "Heaven" is "God's domain only"..even the Angels dont exist there
"The first definition of hell is just separation of God. It didn't even mention anything about torture until revelation."
Actually the only reference to hell is more correctly translated as "ground" or "earth"...to be buried..or in the grave (dead) animus and all
Where the unworthy living/ressurected are cast into the lake of fire and brimstone in Revelation isn't "Hell" it's like discarding scrap iron back into the forge...in this case the soul would be un-done an no longer exist
@LoluskPoo yeah? why do you say that? you don't even believe in hell so why does it matter to you? can you read the whole conversation before you say stupid crap like this?
@tEhWhIteDuDe I was only referring to your original statement... it doesn't matter if i believe in hell, the idea of hell is that you will be tortured for eternity.
@LoluskPoo for real?...omg, no, again, read the WHOLE argument. I specifically said the true definition for hell is eternal separation from God. Nowhere did I ever say it was eternal torture. Only in revelations does it even mention fire. And Hell is not even used in "the lake of fire"... That's you're and the media's definition for hell. Satan isn't a guy in red with a pitchfork... Just stupid immature assumptions before actually reading...
@tEhWhIteDuDe Have you read your own bible? hell is a place where either consciously or physically (depends on you interpret it) you will be eternally tortured..
@LoluskPoo you're idea of torture is physical pain, when any kind of torture according to dealing with hell is getting separated from God for eternity when you find out you can't be in paradise with Him. Might not seem like torture to you...
If religion/atheism blinds you with faith to the point you won't see reason or logic then that's when things become a problem. If you would take anything from religion take empathy if you don't already have it, it is after all the most important part of being sentient.
Since we have no prof either way I think 100% No God = 100% There is a God, its both faith in an argument. Both can be used as a hill from which to stand atop to look down on others, even tho most religions have screwed up parts i hope most people are able to take the good rather than focus on the bad. Not to say it should be ignored like it never happened, learn then move on.
@cblazer It doesn't take faith to reject baseless claims. If you told me you have a pet invisible garden faerie, I would reject that claim unless you could provide evidence. It wouldn't be up to me to prove you don't have one. The same is true for gods. Since there's no evidence that any gods exist, it's irrational to believe they do.
That's an interesting thing about religious people trying to convert atheists. Atheists respect reason. Christians don't even try to use reason as we understand it, they just say 'well the Bible is real and that's all the reason you need', basically. However, some Muslims (see youtube street preaching videos or 'dawah') seem to actually try using reason, but its usually false reason and word tricks.
@JaytheOstrich that's why islam is even worse. they just claim that all the science is already in the koran. and that proves the koran is correct. and therefore islamic morality is also correct. and therefore islam must rule the entire planet.
Tracie's thought process is not logical; Christians has to prove God is real, before we can use the bible as valid reference? What does proving God is real, have to do validating the bible? The Christian's belief system, mission and foundation is based on the bible. Do we say to scientists "show me a quark particle before you can use a quantum physics book as a reference"? What the Christians need to do; is make sure Tracie understands and interprets the bible correctly as per the mainstream.
@yhenry77 You can't use the bible because nothing else backs it up. Besides all you do is use circular logic whenever you're allowed to use the bible.
@ThatOneGothGuy There has not been scientific criteria established yet for testing or proving other spiritual worlds or beings. They may be starting though; see String theory (other dimensions) and the CERN collider. Your forgetting observation proof which is the main criteria for validating (believing) the bible. Why hasn't the scientific community gone with Christian missionaries when they heal the blind or lame? Lack of curiosity? I would say it's NO grant money for these types of phenomena.
One question, do you have all the records of every single missionary outage showing proof that no one from the scientific community has ever gone on one of these trips? Also if the blind and lame are healed does this mean that amputees are healed also? If so I would like to see some proof. It would be very convincing evidence.
@ThatOneGothGuy No I don't, do you? That is my point; let's prove or disprove God's miracles (even when amputees are healed). We need an unbiased scientific research team to investigate these miracles or phenomena.
@yhenry77 Does it really matter? The people who witnessed the miracles believe. So if nothing else, it is part of their reality. Those that don't believe are very unlikely to believe anyway.
I mean think about it. The miracle of life was for centuries one of the greatest proofs of God, but as science gained understanding of it scientifically, instead of increasing non-believers faith with scientific proof, it only caused atheists to scorn God even more.
there is no way to prove that there is a god, and there is no way to prove that there is not one. If you're as smart as you say you are, then you should be aware at this point that it is obviously just a question of faith. So asking those questions will prove for nothing other than for you to sit on your high-horse knowing you asked a question that can't be answered. That being said...just respect other peoples opinions, and go about your day..
@chapwil92 I guess the point she'd trying to make is that not being able to disprove god's existence is not important when it's not possible to prove or even make it seem plausible that there is a god.
I could tell you that there's an invisible floating unicorn in my backyard and you cannot prove that there isn't. Does that mean it's a matter of faith; or would you say I'm a crazy person if I'd really believe there is an invisible floating unicorn, when my only evidence is that it talks to me?
@chapwil92 "just respect other peoples opinions, and go about your day.."
So when a neo Nazi comes up to you and tells you Jews cause all the worlds problems and need to all die, you just respect their opinion and go about your day? Are you serious that moronic? That is one of the dumbest things I think I have ever heard. If you really believe all opinions should be respect than you might be one of the biggest idiots I have seen.
The whole debate comes down to one fact--one group really cannot prove that there is a God, and the other group really cannot prove that there is not a God. What needs to happen now is a movement that will foster respect for individual beliefs.
@markedwardindc That's the whole point of programmes like this one. The theists have little or no respect for the beliefs and non beliefs of others and want to ram their fairy tales down the throats of anyone within reach, especially schoolchildren and other vulnerable groups. If we all just got along and ignored religion, that would be fine but the Bibble thumpers will never do that.
@CalumGilhooly Oh my yes -- I was raised Catholic, so I know all about the indoctrination of children -- LOL! However, despite 14 years of going to Catholic Mass every Sunday, followed by an hour of Catechism classes (for 8 years), I was still able to draw my own conclusions about things; even as a child, I often questioned my religion, and I'm sure there are other children who are doing the same, so just remember, there is always hope, even for the youngest and smallest among us!
@thelondonbadger u are really wrong, God knows wats in your heart and I'm sure he knows bout your little plan but it ain't working and as for hitler he was catholic so he was an idolater, and idolaters don't enter the kingdom of heaven, so yea have fun bein bad ok?
@itchygonads LMAO, really? there is no god? you gotta be the dumbest person in the world then :) go study more science books and come back then talk you uneducated freak :)
@chickensupdude Really? That is all you have to say? How embarrassing. First of all i am studying science as we speak, secondly i no doubt know a lot more about science thab you. Thirdly the OVERWHELMING majortiy of scientists are atheists. Your comment is so stupid and laughable someone already mocked you right after you said it! What a disgrace haha. Oh well kid, keep believing in fairytales! Haha what a fucking moron.
@itchygonads Oi why do you put shit like that huh!? and even more overwhelming percent of scientists support evolution and the big bang theory christian, scientists alike. get shit right.
@chickensupdude okay buddy quote me any (non creationist) book that has any reference to there being a god you uneducated freak. science contradicts the bible and god u would noe that if you could read words longer than your 1 millimeter dick, thank you have a good day u uneducated freak.
@coolboysoldier1 I don't care if you respect my belief, I don't respect yours. I do care that you respect tangeble evidence. Evidence that you can show to another person, not just self affirmed revelation.
"How do we know that rape is literally meant as rape in the bible?"
Because that's what the word means in English and if meant anything else it would be translated into a different word. We also know Hezizik means rape because we have corroborating evidence to prove that fact.
PART 2. How dare you suggest a woman might enjoy being raped. I know a few women that have been & I know how much it haunts them. If rape is detered by this law which, is respected in the Muslim faith. Why is it that in Pakistan a woman gets raped every two hours & (on average) 100 women are raped ever 24 hours in Karachi city alone? It's wrong now, it was wrong then. Stop doing you mental backflips to support this shit. The Bible is wrong!!
if we had and knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that a huge asteroid was to hit earth tomarrow and would for sure destroy every person on earth , I bet you for sure all the so called prayers for any god to stop this event would go UN-FULLFILLED ! JUST AS ALWAYS !
@flexbrat My prayers are fullfilled constantly. All prayers to God are answered in the purpose of good. It is unfortunate you are blind to that. Try it yourself and you will see.
5. Why can't you accept God for who he is? Like he accepts you for who you are. God never chose to be something other than God. He is God, and by that default he must punish sin, and evil. He never could be anything other than God, like we cannot change the way we are. God is the judge of this world, he never chose for it
I like this show, but why does every episode sound like it starts with shitty 90s contemporary Christian music?

As the GWB occultist Saul implied you must believe the omnipotent omnipresent omniscient cosmic magician exists before the reality works for you so when the Christ said to Jews around him (Quote) 'HAVE I-NOT SAID YE ARE GODS' don't you create the reality of god or it's opposite by belief?

@mooniekate You still don't understand the grand scheme of things Genesis 6 mentions of these. They're not actually relevant, u can sit & monitor all the atoms & the fossils but it is God that wants all the souls that know the Holy Grail to eternal life not about what is surrounding it. This life we have here is fleeting. Science told us we had 4 dimensions 25 yrs ago, today they say we've more than 14...WE CAN'T see the entirety of the Universe. Part of our knowledge is to use our spiritual...
julichoi888 2 weeks ago
@julichoi888- "They're not actually relevant"- yes they are, because they directly contradict biblical claims. The bible says man was created independently from other organism, yet genetic evidence disprove this and show mankind could not have originated from two people. The bible also says animals were independently created for their habitats, and again, genetic evidence disprove this. Science is built on data. The stories on the bible are not built on historic accuracy.

@kkdkk7 Sorry to keep you waiting, friend. Unfortunately, or fortunately perhaps, I can't answer your last question directly; you'll have to read it for yourself.

I'm asking because my answer is going to be compelling, but I don't want anyone to think I'm pushing beliefs on others.
danielhmanning 2 months ago
@danielhmanning
Ok then .. You believe that Jesus was telling the truth about what ?
kkdkk7 2 months ago
@kkdkk7 Why do I remain faithful, despite the confusion that has been caused by time, by cultural boundary-crossing, by translations and mistranslations, by politics, by interference by evil and ambitious men, by the infiltration of non-Christian ideas into Christian tradition, by competing gods and competing religions and atheism and abiogenesis and that nagging part of my mind that questions everything? It's simple: I believe that Jesus was telling the truth.
danielhmanning 2 months ago
@danielhmanning
Jesus is a character in a writer's arsenal, since no proof is required in faith, the writer is at complete liberty ..
kkdkk7 2 months ago
@danielhmanning
The problem with the ancient times is that there is no rigorous scrutiny aided by video cameras, photo cameras, or the scientific methodology to establish believability .. Personally, I myself takes most historical accounts of ancient lores and sayings with a pinch of salt. Make room for political embellishments and debasements, ancient writings are never fit to be taken to be unadulterated.. not to mention as a belief to be accepted wholly.
kkdkk7 2 months ago
@danielhmanning
U have been saying -
"I believe because I believe because I believe.."
is that all to yr Jesus beliefs ?
kkdkk7 2 months ago
@kkdkk7 I am a Christian precisely because I follow Christ and his sayings. Most of his first followers were probably illiterate; they didn't need scriptures to be a Christian-- not that it's bad to read scripture, but there were a lot of Jews who'd read a lot of scripture and still didn't recognize Jesus by his words--God's words. I still haven't mastered 'love your neighbor as you love yourself' so why is more scripture necessary? ;)
And yes, I do believe the more fantastical events, too.
danielhmanning 2 months ago
@danielhmanning
U r respectful and appreciates a sincere discussion which is not based on the need to win at all cost .. thats a basic component for intellectual honesty and I appreciate that.

kkdkk7 2 months ago
@danielhmanning
In fact Christians r the only allies of atheists and agnostics against the threat of extreme imperialistic islamists..
kkdkk7 2 months ago
@kkdkk7 where in the Bible does it say that the whole Bible is the inerrant perfect word of God? ;)
Whenever I discuss my views on the Bible, atheists always say I'm being selective. Yet the Bible itself is selective, having been compiled by men during Roman times. I'm not accusing you of this, because you seem like a reasonable person, but I get the feeling that atheists find my intelligent faith disconcerting, and try to argue with me as if I'm a fundamentalist; they choose my beliefs for me.
danielhmanning 2 months ago
@danielhmanning
Its great that u dare to detract form what most christians say - that the bible is not inerrant, based on what the political heads of churches did during its compilation.
Of course, as a non-christian I do not believe the Bible is inerrant, I am merely saying thats what most christians are saying.
I'm just intrigued by how u wld be so faithful to something thats been so adulterated n tainted by the dirty hands of superficially religious but politically power hungry scribes ?
kkdkk7 2 months ago
@kkdkk7 now let me ask you a question. Let's say that someone gives you an anthology that contains 66 individual stories. You read them all; some you dislike, some you find boring, some you found too hard to understand, some you questioned as being just plain wrong, and some you thought were amazing-- the best, most inspirational stories you ever read. But then I come along and tell you that you must believe all 66 were amazing, or that they were all crap. How will you reply?
danielhmanning 2 months ago
@danielhmanning
Loony stuffs which I don't pretend to understand when it actually is loony.
kkdkk7 2 months ago
@danielhmanning
Well, about yr question ..
The problem with your selective belief is that all the parts in the bible are all tied together in the one big religious bedrock foundation statement - "THE WHOLE BIBLE IS THE INERRANT PERFECT WORD OF GOD".
If any one part of the bible is flawed, the legitimacy of the whole of the bible and the whole christian belief is called into question.
kkdkk7 2 months ago
@danielhmanning
If u choose to believe Jesus's sayings and discard the rest of the bible, are u merely a supporter of his sayings and not really a christian ?
For example, I don't call myself a Buddhist just because I share the same belief with Buddha that we reap what we sow .. I merely agree with some Buddhist sayings, but I don't religiously follow the mythical aspects of the beliefs so I am not really a Buddhist.
kkdkk7 2 months ago
@danielhmanning
SO, I guess the question to you is this - Aside from sharing the pacifist viewpoints of what Jesus said in the bible, do you accept as facts the more fantastical aspects of biblical claims that Jesus is god and that he died as a human so that mankind can have their wrong doings forgiven just by thinking and believing that he is god ?
kkdkk7 2 months ago
@kkdkk7 that's the atheist interpretation, which has been intentionally misinterpreted for maximum effect. Jesus wasn't a human sacrifice; he was the last messenger God sent in a chain of messengers, and like the others, he was killed by the religious establishment. His death is symbolically similar to a lamb being sacrificed to take away sin, but he himself wasn't a sacrifice because sacrifices are burned, and they don't come back to life. Youve been misinformed by theology, friend.
danielhmanning 2 months ago
...or rather, to beat people into submission. I'm not into converting people, but as educated people, you should know the real story. I made a video about Hell, and invite anyone who wants the real facts about it to watch. I promise that it's not a recruitment video.
danielhmanning 2 months ago
@danielhmanning
I don't get it .. since u merely believe in the existence of god, why don't u just call yourself a theist , but u go one step further to say that u r a christian?
( U see, most of the Atheist Experience hosts are not against theistic beliefs .. they just find that the dubious doctrines that come along with some specific religions to be harmful to the individuals and society at large.. )
kkdkk7 2 months ago
@kkdkk7 I'm a Christian in the sense that I follow, or at least do my best to follow, the teachings of Jesus. The teachings I'm referring to are the ones I've read for myself, and not the ones told to me by pastors. I ignore all doctrines and theology as unnecessary, or even outright misleading, which is by definition harmful. But like I said, doctrine is unnecessary for understanding Jesus, and since religion is essentially doctrine, religion is unnecessary for understanding Jesus, too.
danielhmanning 2 months ago
@danielhmanning
Umm .. so u believe that god turned himself into mankind and sent himself to live among mankind, later sacrificed himself to himself to beg himself to be less angry with mankind and then go back to heaven again ?
If you belief the Jesus part of the bible, why would u discard the non-Jesus parts of the bible when both come together to constitute the so-called "God's words" ?
No offence, but it just makes me curious what is going on in people's minds ..
kkdkk7 2 months ago
The caller was absolutely right: if God sends good people to He'll, he is not God at all. But this doesn't prove that there is no God; it proves that THE DOCTRINE OF HELL IS A LIE. I'm a Christian, and I see Hell for what it is: a tool used by churches to bring people

It will eventually drag you into HELL if you do not deal with it.

lol the guy's argument about wondering why God sends his "children" to hell doesn't make any sense. Plenty of parents get rid of their kids if they defile them enough. If my kid treated me like shit and didn't believe that I was their creator and never followed any of my rules, hell yeah I'd get rid of his ass...
tEhWhIteDuDe 2 months ago
@tEhWhIteDuDe Then you never loved them. They may not be perfect but they are your children.
moorg745 2 months ago 14
@moorg745 you can still love your children and punish them. EXAMPLE: I don't know any parent who would let their kid get away with murder and not let them be punished for it.
tEhWhIteDuDe 2 months ago
@tEhWhIteDuDe Name one crime that should be countered with the punishment of burning in hell for all eternity. ETERNITY!! Every second of every day of every year!
moorg745 2 months ago
@moorg745 well, he really isn't a burning pit of fire for all eternity, hell by definition is just separation from God. The lake of fire was reserved for satan and his minions. and sure enough i think murderers don't deserve to go to heaven. but i'm not God, i dont decide who does or doesn't. I leave it up to Him. stop hating christians, hate God, it's His rules...
tEhWhIteDuDe 2 months ago
@tEhWhIteDuDe In that case fine. I don't hate Christians in general but I hate people who think I deserve to be tortured for eternity just because I disagree with them. I may strongly disagree but you have a right to your religion.
moorg745 2 months ago
@moorg745 nah man, only ignorant stupid "Christians" think people like you deserve to be tortured for eternity. I don't believe what Atheists believe and Atheists don't believe what I believe. I just voice my opinion only to defend my beliefs. I don't force anyone to listen. Same could be said for Atheists.

@KreatorRage lol well i mean, I could say you believe that there is nothing supernatural existing in this universe and that would mean the exact same thing as to what you just said, that's still a belief though.
tEhWhIteDuDe 1 month ago
@tEhWhIteDuDe you would get rid of them? would you send them to suffer in eternal agony if they didnt believe you were their dad? what if you left before they ever saw you, gave no evidence that you are the real father and gave them a book which gets almost everything about the world wrong (ever seen the biblical cure for leprosy?), would you still send them to a place to be tortured for eternity?
wearestarstuffsagan 1 month ago
@wearestarstuffsagan first of all. The first definition of hell is just separation of God. It didn't even mention anything about torture until revelation. Even that, the devil and the prostitute were thrown into the lake of fire. Second of all. It's not the "cure" for Leprosy, It doesn't ever say cure (cures were rarely possible back then). they were considered "unclean" in biblical times, It was a ritual called "cleansing" and afterwards they were let back into the city.
tEhWhIteDuDe 1 month ago
@tEhWhIteDuDe many christians believe in a literal hell. so they "cleaned" the people with bird blood. yeah dude, i totally get it now, hail jeebus
wearestarstuffsagan 1 month ago

@LoluskPoo yeah? why do you say that? you don't even believe in hell so why does it matter to you? can you read the whole conversation before you say stupid crap like this?
tEhWhIteDuDe 1 month ago
@tEhWhIteDuDe I was only referring to your original statement... it doesn't matter if i believe in hell, the idea of hell is that you will be tortured for eternity.
LoluskPoo 1 month ago
@LoluskPoo for real?...omg, no, again, read the WHOLE argument. I specifically said the true definition for hell is eternal separation from God. Nowhere did I ever say it was eternal torture. Only in revelations does it even mention fire. And Hell is not even used in "the lake of fire"... That's you're and the media's definition for hell. Satan isn't a guy in red with a pitchfork... Just stupid immature assumptions before actually reading...
tEhWhIteDuDe 1 month ago
@tEhWhIteDuDe Have you read your own bible? hell is a place where either consciously or physically (depends on you interpret it) you will be eternally tortured..
LoluskPoo 1 month ago
@LoluskPoo where did you read that? what chapter and verse?
tEhWhIteDuDe 1 month ago
@LoluskPoo you're idea of torture is physical pain, when any kind of torture according to dealing with hell is getting separated from God for eternity when you find out you can't be in paradise with Him. Might not seem like torture to you...
tEhWhIteDuDe 1 month ago
If religion/atheism blinds you with faith to the point you won't see reason or logic then that's when things become a problem. If you would take anything from religion take empathy if you don't already have it, it is after all the most important part of being sentient.
cblazer 2 months ago
Since we have no prof either way I think 100% No God = 100% There is a God, its both faith in an argument. Both can be used as a hill from which to stand atop to look down on others, even tho most religions have screwed up parts i hope most people are able to take the good rather than focus on the bad. Not to say it should be ignored like it never happened, learn then move on.
cblazer 2 months ago
@cblazer Nah its not faith on both arguements at all. sorry
KeySour 2 months ago
@KeySour I say that because you have to have faith in your argument that there isn't any god/gods you have as much proof as the believers.
cblazer 2 months ago
@cblazer It doesn't take faith to reject baseless claims. If you told me you have a pet invisible garden faerie, I would reject that claim unless you could provide evidence. It wouldn't be up to me to prove you don't have one. The same is true for gods. Since there's no evidence that any gods exist, it's irrational to believe they do.
YY4Me133 2 months ago
That's an interesting thing about religious people trying to convert atheists. Atheists respect reason. Christians don't even try to use reason as we understand it, they just say 'well the Bible is real and that's all the reason you need', basically. However, some Muslims (see youtube street preaching videos or 'dawah') seem to actually try using reason, but its usually false reason and word tricks.
JaytheOstrich 2 months ago
@JaytheOstrich that's why islam is even worse. they just claim that all the science is already in the koran. and that proves the koran is correct. and therefore islamic morality is also correct. and therefore islam must rule the entire planet.
topperheartramada 2 months ago
Tracie's thought process is not logical; Christians has to prove God is real, before we can use the bible as valid reference? What does proving God is real, have to do validating the bible? The Christian's belief system, mission and foundation is based on the bible. Do we say to scientists "show me a quark particle before you can use a quantum physics book as a reference"? What the Christians need to do; is make sure Tracie understands and interprets the bible correctly as per the mainstream.
yhenry77 2 months ago
@yhenry77 You can't use the bible because nothing else backs it up. Besides all you do is use circular logic whenever you're allowed to use the bible.
ThatOneGothGuy 2 months ago
@ThatOneGothGuy There has not been scientific criteria established yet for testing or proving other spiritual worlds or beings. They may be starting though; see String theory (other dimensions) and the CERN collider. Your forgetting observation proof which is the main criteria for validating (believing) the bible. Why hasn't the scientific community gone with Christian missionaries when they heal the blind or lame? Lack of curiosity? I would say it's NO grant money for these types of phenomena.
yhenry77 2 months ago
One question, do you have all the records of every single missionary outage showing proof that no one from the scientific community has ever gone on one of these trips? Also if the blind and lame are healed does this mean that amputees are healed also? If so I would like to see some proof. It would be very convincing evidence.
ThatOneGothGuy 2 months ago
@ThatOneGothGuy No I don't, do you? That is my point; let's prove or disprove God's miracles (even when amputees are healed). We need an unbiased scientific research team to investigate these miracles or phenomena.
yhenry77 2 months ago
@yhenry77 Does it really matter? The people who witnessed the miracles believe. So if nothing else, it is part of their reality. Those that don't believe are very unlikely to believe anyway.
I mean think about it. The miracle of life was for centuries one of the greatest proofs of God, but as science gained understanding of it scientifically, instead of increasing non-believers faith with scientific proof, it only caused atheists to scorn God even more.

The woman is being a bitch just to be one...
there is no way to prove that there is a god, and there is no way to prove that there is not one. If you're as smart as you say you are, then you should be aware at this point that it is obviously just a question of faith. So asking those questions will prove for nothing other than for you to sit on your high-horse knowing you asked a question that can't be answered. That being said...just respect other peoples opinions, and go about your day..
chapwil92 2 months ago
@chapwil92 Respect people's opinions and go about your day... You mean like the theist giving out the pamphlets?
gutaitas 2 months ago
@chapwil92 I guess the point she'd trying to make is that not being able to disprove god's existence is not important when it's not possible to prove or even make it seem plausible that there is a god.
I could tell you that there's an invisible floating unicorn in my backyard and you cannot prove that there isn't. Does that mean it's a matter of faith; or would you say I'm a crazy person if I'd really believe there is an invisible floating unicorn, when my only evidence is that it talks to me?
AdenineMonkey 2 months ago
@chapwil92 "just respect other peoples opinions, and go about your day.."

The whole debate comes down to one fact--one group really cannot prove that there is a God, and the other group really cannot prove that there is not a God. What needs to happen now is a movement that will foster respect for individual beliefs.
markedwardindc 3 months ago

4. Why does God have to be like us?
5. Why can't you accept God for who he is? Like he accepts you for who you are. God never chose to be something other than God. He is God, and by that default he must punish sin, and evil. He never could be anything other than God, like we cannot change the way we are. God is the judge of this world, he never chose for it
