@ThereBeLet people have to realise that since we changed to the Gregorian calendar, its added 6yrs to every thousand, of the old calendar system. so, 2000yrs on, would be 2012 yrs on using our "new" gregorian calendar, thats why nothing happened on Y2K, because people were using our 'new' gregorian calendar system. If we stayed on the old calendar system, 2000yrs would land on what we call 2012.
