i like how in ultra magnus' view, the autobots darkest hour happend to coincide with him about to be gunned down. Magnus, it didnt open so it could save just YOUR ass, think about the others, sheesh. Now, die like a good autobot, and put up a fleeting fight, so Galvatron might have a sense of satisfaction in killing you.

@Chris557 all robots have something that is very important. In g1 it's known as the power core but in beast wars it's known as a spark.it can not be repaired. Only two people can repair it. Unicron and the quintisons. It is in the chest. That's why they never died in the series they were never shot in the chest. Ultra magness only broke into pieces, that's why he could be repaired

In "Dark Awakening", Brawn and Windcharger are not included on the list of those who died in the Battle of Autobot City, even though we saw them die, so it's possible the Junkions brought them back. In "The Return of Optimus Prime", Wreck-Gar states that the Junkions can't bring back Optimus because he's too severely damaged. Presumably this also applies to Prowl, Ratchet, Ironhide, Wheeljack and Huffer.

For example, Carnage in C Minor had Huffer (in Gears colours), Brawn, and Bonecrusher (yes) firing on the rocket the Constructicons had just built. Or even better, Blast Off being boarded by the Combaticons. And Bruticus. What.

I think in the original story boards they used whips and pulled him apart which can kinda be shown how hes reacting to the shots. I believe they animated the lasers last but changed it from pulling him apart to just blasting him in that regard.
