alcohol destroys lives in countless ways. just think of the innocent people killed everyday by a drunk driver. look at the families who have suffered with a loved one addicted to the insane effects of alcohol. pot is profoundly mild in comparison. not saying pot can't has a negative effect ever but what doesn't have a negative effect on us if we over use it like phone sex or frozen pizzas or religion or dish detergent. y'all get real ! alcohol should be the one that's illegal.
ok just had three fucking shootings and 2 homicides one where I live in daly city and one in oakland and yet u fucking cops drive around and arrest people for a little medical weed.Oviously the federal law needs to be changed when that will happened is speculated.WE NEED TO CHANGE THE FEDERAL LAW.Reverse the drug laws with Alcohol AND STOP THE HYPOCRISY !!!

Yes now my peers and I are forced to carry a firearm. Lucky for us those gardens were not occupied. Is marijuana safer, just ask yourself, safer for whom. It all must be controlled

To be honest, I do not consider cannabis an actual "drug". The fact that an overdose from marijuana is impossible should be proof enough to categorize the drug uniquely. Even drugs from Tylenol to Zoloft are unnatural and altered by mans touch and can cause overdose with over consumption. This includes Alcohol and Nicotine which are legal. I broke my back in L1 and L2 in a car accident two years ago and opted to get my cannabis card instead of perscriptions liek soma and oxy cotton. So STFU!

It has actually been shown to reduce the likelihood of violent behavoir and has not been shown to contribute to sexual assault or domestic abuse. Alcohol on the other hand absolute has.
The only reason that Marijuana would contibute to those homocides is due to the laws that are in place. The laws are the cause for this because it forces Marijuana to be sold by criminals. For many parts of the United States this is the only way to obtain Marijuana is from criminals who do commit these crimes. Lets face it if you take the market away from criminals many of these crime will not be an issue.
