I'm from Bergen County, which is in the northeast corner of NJ, and most people think I'm from New York. I never thought I had an accent -- I always thought I spoke perfect English lol. But your accent, if we must call it that, is definitely thicker than mine. I like it, though. Don't ever be ashamed of it. I'm tired of all the Jersey bashing. 95% of Jersey is middle to upper middle class suburbs. Lots of creative, funny people here, too. You're one of them. :)
