  • Green stands for absence of a video clip

  • This music sounds powerful, fitting for a villain with electrical powers :D

  • I just saw them at SXSW the animation they had for this was awesome and so was the rest of the show.

  • anamanaguchi made some sick tracks for scott pilgrim vs the world the video game.wonder if theres more awesomeness

  • THANKS HOLY

  • THANKS HOLY

  • This should be on a megaman stage.

  • no! the green represents green!

  • THANK GOD FOR THIS BAND!!!

  • Green is actually the color that requires the least space on the HDD too. If you save a green pic and a red pic you'll see that the green one is smaller in size

  • @muffinproject you sir are ....... my hero

  • It's an artistical statement - the bright saturated green represents retro computer visuals. Green represents the he G in RGB, and as such points towards the core of computer graphics, while the brightness is a nod towards the way older machines got their palettes: via maths, calculated by programmers.

The emptyness states that in the early days of computers there was very little to work with. This lead to treally abstract aesthetics such as noise for drums, and flat coloured pop-art visuals.

  • @muffinproject A whole bunch of Xbox & Ps3 kids prob don't have a clue what any of that means, bloody kids these days don't know how good they have it now :p

  • @muffinproject or perhaps it's just a bright green screen

    X X U

  • I loved them in 2007... and now I am loving Anamanaguchi again! This is obviously amazing but so is their new single 'My Skateboard Will Go On'. Keep up the amazing work lads!

  • Nothing like good ol' 8-bit music! Brings me back to the old days when I used to play SMB3, Double Dragon, and Startropics!

  • @nitroklop

Brings me back to now when they juice awesome music from those juicy classic consoles.

  • Whenever I listen to this song, it makes me think of Mega Man and how he just broke up with his first girlfriend and he's not yet ready to give up on their love. Go Mega Man go!

  • @gay25

i took the k out your name

dont ask why, its labor day and i dont have squat to do

  • @fromstart2finish

Its comments like this, that make the internet what it is.

  • OMG 8BIT MUSIC IS LIKE ROCK WHEN HIGH AS FUCK

  • most of the 8-bit i've heard was shit.....this has changed me :D

  • 8-bit is the best. Played so many videogames when I was younger that I love anything that sounds like this.

  • The sounds are from a modified NES consle. And in the background the band plays chords and stuff.

  • they came to my school.. had no idea who they were... but i was completely baked. and their music was FUCKING EPIC. best. high. music. ever. .... but also enjoyable sober of course!

  • Where did the sounds come from?

  • damn its like breakbeat meets drum and bass meets 8-bit, but equals bad ass!!!!!!!!

  • *_*

  • MLIA

  • i love you.

also, if you got the link to anamanaguchi from viewing a submission, that was me.

my account on MLIA is HoorayForPineapples too :]

  • yes ,i know they play guitar as a backround sound u can hear it

  • NES!!!!! FTFW!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome.

  • that's freaking sweet!

  • I LOVE THIS BAND!!!

  • This song makes my brain itch. In a great way.

  • nostalgiaaa for realllll

  • nostalgia of the love that'll never leave us behind...

  • mmmm i love this band. they remind me of horse the band without the hardcore, but i shouldnt really compare the two because theyre both amazing.

  • simply amazing, i gotta hand it to their programming genius. tip of the hat, gentlemen.

  • I laughed pretty hard at that lol

  • I don't know if thats meant to be a good thing or not. lmfao

  • 8bit electronica. :3

  • I'M IN LOVE!!!!

    great tune

  • Chiptune is usually a bit more accepted way of describing the music; it doesn't insinuate that the music is 'pop'.

  • badass

  • i like the idea of using this type of sounds in music... but i dont think this song sounds that. good.... hadoken also use this kind of sounds but they do it muuchh better

  • burn in hell. their amazing. try and pose your opinion so as not to be offensive to fans of this band, and putting anamanaguchi in comparison to other bands you like is a completely bias opinion and i hope you realize that for future reference.

  • Comment removed

  • @youvegotIVIail

    Well, I really like Bit.Shifter.

    Especially Clock Block Disco

  • @youvegotIVIail i hope no other band rips these guys off

  • you seem kind of bias yourself--but i agree. everyone has their own opinion and should keep to themselves, but constructive criticism is fine

  • agreed, and i do realize that was a little bit of a bias statement, sorry

  • You mean 'they are' amazing. And in that useage, it would be 'biased judgement' as a comparison is a judgement not an opinion.

  • This song reminds me of a Mosaic, except in music form.

  • both chiptune and 8-bit are similar, but they're not genre's. its a means to which people create music. calling it a genre is like calling a piano a genre.

  • What kind of music is this ? pls response

  • 8-bit ,

  • i mean genre , is that what u meant?

  • Its either Chip Tune , or 8-bit i think they are both genres?

  • thanks for your attention ;)

  • this song rocks i lov anamanaguchi

  • YES YES YES!

  • they play backup with bass and guitar and drums

  • Also, the Game Boy isn't the only 8-bit console.

As far as I know, the 8-bit consoles are the NES, Colecovision, Intellivision, Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Atari 7800, Bally Astrocade, TurboGrafx-16, Master System, SG-1000 and a ton more that I can't pull off the top of my head now.

...yes, the TurboGrafx is 8-bit but only the processor, everything else is 16-bit.

  • good song but...WHERS THE NTO GREEN!!

  • this music is orgasmic!

  • orgasmic tastic

  • how do you get ahold of some of their music?

  • google 8bitpeoples

  • anamanaguhi is so close to beating glomag as my faveorite 8bit artist lol

  • That shade of green makes my eyes bleed.

But this is my favorite Anamanaguchi song, so it's okay!

  • 8 bit rock ftw :D They play this through an n64

  • they actually play it through a NES from 1985, a Nintendo 64 wouldnt have the right sound card to play the music that they play, the 64 part of Nintendo 64 stands for 64 bit, these sounds are clearly 8 bit, as you said, a nintendo 64 would produce a much more realistic sound.

  • Comment removed

  • @feeder12 yeah because who wants to play a game with 64 bits with the 8 bit sound haha. actually it would be quite entertaining playing an xbox that does the 8bit sound

  • It is possible to have an 8-bit sound system. Different channels with two bits controlling each to control editing of waveforms, four in total, is 8 bit sound. The NES had an 8 Bit APU, as well as a PPU. If you're confused, Try it like this: 1 - Sound Channel 1, bit 1. 1 - Sound Channel 1, bit 2. 1 - Sound Channel 2, bit 1. 1 - Sound Channel 2, bit 2. 1 - Sound Channel 3, bit 1. 1 - Sound Channel 3, bit 2. 1 - Sound Channel 4, bit 1. 1 - Sound Channel 4, bit 2. 11111111 = FFFF = F - F - F - F
  • @Metroid225 is there a program i can download easy and simple so i can just compose 8bit tunes?

  • @besodemieteraar

    Famitracker google it

  • @feeder12 what does a bitcrusher do then?

  • u r correct my friend

  • mmmm i love anamana and this vid is...creative
