The Boondock Saints gained a cult following among teenage boys - which says a lot.

To give Duffy credit, BS had some very funny moments and some interesting dialogue. That said, it was by no means a masterpiece.

Too much is borrowed from Tarantino - the gangster life, the religious imagery, the gun going off - it was almost plageurized. Also, far too many cliches - the barroom brawl, etc.

I wish him well, but I'll just rent the sequel.

sequel never coming.. he said it would start 5 years ago... then 4 years, then 3, then 2...he said it would happen last year. He said filming would start in August... now September...watch everyone as it gets pushed back till next year.

That's a good idea. If there was some way they could take donations, no matter how big or small, every little bit could help. Say you get 20 bucks, give or take, from 5,000 fans, that's around 100,000 dollars (if I did the math correctly). Like I said every little bit helps.
