  • Are you playing the psaltery with the nails?

It sounds so nice. Mine does not sound well with the nails.

    Thanks.

  • @AndreaSPitaim , Yes, i use nails and brass strings...

  • @Gealach74 Perhaps mine does not sound nice because I have the original ace strings. Have you changed yours? Did the psaltery accepted well the brass strings or you made modifications in the pegs?

If you allow me, one last question: how do you play the chord with the left hand? Is there any specific movement of the fingers for the notes to sound not together? You play so nice it sounds like an harp.

    Thank you very much!

  • @AndreaSPitaim @AndreaSPitaim Hello, is yours with steel strings? (like acustic guitar metal strings?) if so, i would recomend you brass (i dont know your psaltery model , size or number of strings) but the brass will give you more "warm" sound I tune my psaltery from bottom strings : D-A-D and then c-d-e-f-g etc... this way i have the drone chord of D (and can be changed depending on the tonality etc...i hope this helps, if you need more info you can writte me a mail..thanks

  • @Gealach74 My psaltery is the same as yours (an EMS plucked psaltery, isn't it?). But mine came with steel strings. That's why I asked if you have changed yours to brass.

Any way, thank you for the tips.
