  • WHY WUD U CLIP A PITS TAIL,NOTHIN BAD BOUT IT,JUS NOT A PIT THANG-JLUK

  • I gotta say, that is pretty impressive. My guy's not nearly as bad as that, so this gives me a lot of hope. Thanks for posting.

  • omfg put this dog down now

  • Question for you. Im currently in dog training school. Mostly for the theory and exposure to varied training ideologies out there. I know you stated to the client why you used the stand but i couldnt really hear it. Could you tell me exactly what is the use of the stand? I would guess its to isolate the dogs movements but id lie to here it from someone who knows what theyre doing.

  • I feel so sad hearing comments that agreesion is always caused from irresponsible owners. I really feel like crying this moment because I have an aggressive dog that I HAVE WORKED HARD WITH AND IS AT THE POINT OF GIVING UP. We spend so much time and money trying to help our dog. WE are not irresponsible. The last person to help us is a behaviour expert and in the end all I get from him that is positive is a control collar. I love my dog 100%. H

  • No wonder he don't trust anyone someone cut his tail and I bet they did it cold blood it... stupid ass people's.... you not supposed to cut the tail..idiot's. (Pits are the best dogs I love them.)

  • I want a puppy from that dog

  • Is that dog fix cause I would like to have a puppy.

  • Yes it's safe to own a pit. A dog is a dog first then breed second, no dog is born aggressive unless bred wrong.

  • As a dog trainer, posting a video like on the net shows a lot confidence in your abilities. To some degree this k9 is a reslt of poor handling the owners part, and to some degree it is also genetics. Keep in mind all dog have predidtory instincts, wether its for humans or other animals. To have a dog that is well controlled in all circumstances takes 1-proper breeding and 2-no less than 2 years of constant work. Working dogs in say like police k9 are so because of great bredding from europe

  • Is that a shock collar? In my humble opinion, shock collars are not tools for training . I own 3 pits and 2 were rescue's with out any socialization (one was a bait dog or in at least 2 dog fights) and with positive training and patience they are coming around quite nicely.

  • I really love this technique. Its calm, non-antagonistic and obveiously effective... with lots of follow up and years of practice.

Three time pit bull owner here near Denver, CO. I can testify to the brilliance of this breed... given they are set up with all the tools they need for success:

Rules and Boundaries, plenty of exercise and socialization, good diet and plenty of water, spay/ neutering, vet care and grooming, and being part of a pack/ family.

Check out "Team Pit-a-Full" on Yutube

  • Its as safe as you want it to be. I gaurentee these people didnt socialize him early. You wana expose your pittie to everything as possible when there babys. And yes safe to own. Regardless of what others say

  • Is it safe to own a pitbull? I am planning on to buy one, and i have plenty of time to train him.

  • @Player6331 Yes pit bulls are safe. They are some of the best dogs you could own. However, they need to be socialized a lot and early in their lifetime. You cannot get a pit bull and chain it up and leave him outside. These are very affectionate dogs and need to be shown love. Along with treating these dogs like a member of the family, you need to exercise them a lot! If these dogs are kept locked in a cage all day, they become restless and this can lead to negative behavior.

  • @Player6331 Its safe, just educate yourself first on the pitbull and if you are a good match with a pitbull not everyone is qualified to own one.

  • @Player6331 Ots totally safe! Im 16 and have a APBT and I did all the training myself! Check out my videos! PITBULLS ARE THE GREATEST DOG ON THE EARTH!

  • Can't believe it how aggressive a dog can be, Unbelieveable.. Imagine what would happen if the dog didn't have the muzzle.

  • your noob...

  • man this is why i hate when people get dogs that they cant handle.. it makes it seem like its a bad bread..all u need is control well on this one..a shock collar..and a muzzle...lol

  • how did that dog end up agressive? .

  • WOW, That Pit looks like he was Introduced to Bite Work way before Obedience training was Instilled. Owners are probably scared of the dog to even do obedience on him. Pit is NOT afraid at all, maintains constant eye contact.

  • wuts the collor for??

  • =) skills

  • nice work man

  • Can anyone help me I have a dog aggressive pitbull..aim introducing him to a non aggressive pit I will get him more tired than he has ever been prior and he will be muzzled he has been around other non aggressive pits had fights and ends up following them happy to be there it's the initial meet can someone give me some pointers

  • lol how do you get the muzzle on!?

  • At first look, as a pit bull owner, lover and advocate I would have to say he was a lost cause, a danger to himself and others. The old dog boys would have put him down at 3 mnths.

  • give me just 10 seconds whit this pitbull and you will see this dog calm

  • put it to sleep, not a real pitbull and not worthy to be called a apbt.

  • I wish you guys would clarify the e-collar comments. From what I can tell, you are not using e-collar and NOT SHOCKING the dog into submission.

One other thing, please explain how you will re-train the owners. I really doubt you're going to "fix" him and then just hand him back to the owners, right....?

  • wow... so there are two important elements in dog handling, trust and bonding... i see

  • Ive been working for protection dogs for many years, and this dog is not reabilitive to point of being trusted to be safe.

He will snap and attack again.

  • hvorfor bruker du strømband på hunden

  • too bad you can't hear a thing

  • WOW that was amazing, one question, what is that thing with the red flashin light? what´s the purpose of it?

  • shit...this is one temperamental dog.....wonderfull work...

  • I havent seen one of these "sit means sit" videos that was informative for pet owners. Perhaps thats not your goal. I think that maybe these videos would be alot better if the ideas behind the methods were explained. Theory and technique. Oh well. I guess its probably better for you to not try to help ALL dog owners understand whats going on with their dogs, keep em in the dark and make em believe that only you have the answer and can help. By the way, do u use e collars on every case??

  • WHAT DOES THAT TEACH THE PITT JUST ATTACK WHEN YOU WANT?

  • I noticed you used the elevated platform alot.. would I be correct in that you used it as a trust builder? and by standing on it as well claimed it as yours and not his?

  • You made that dog happy and he felt natural for the first time. Very good work !

  • I think what you tought the pitbull was boundtires (forgive my spelling) but i believe the only reson he stoped being aggressive so FAST was because you showed no fear i saw you look right into his eyes and he looked into urs and it just kinda slowed WAY down.

  • great video!!! would you be able to send me an image of link of the type of muzzel that is used here..enjoyed the work don here...was going to post a vid response but i see you have taken that option off..if your interested i just posted a video about 3 days ago, of me working with a 90lbs aggressive german shepherd pitbull mix...take a look and please comment

  • @DreamComeTrueK9 I believe i purchased the muzzle at bridgeportequipment . com

Thanks for the comment. I'll check your video

  • WOW

There is no way that dog could ever be considered safe..no matter what you did with him! I am curious if they kept him.

  • Why did become he so agressive and how works the training?

  • How is this dog doing at present?

  • Very Nice! It is good to see that the owner took the neccy. steps to get the dog the proper training. Is your school only in Atlanta?

  • It´s the first time that i see a pitbull whitout tail....

  • Louie would not have been around for 6.5 years if he had bitten (tried to bite) me!

  • oh my god, what a poor dog... =(

  • I want that dog

  • I respect dog trainers.

I do wish this dog will be tame and friendly and find himself a nice family to be taken care of.

  • How long of a time frame elapsed from the beginning to end of the video? Is this all in one training session or over the course of several sessions? What is the function of patting the dog on the nose? Curious because I am interested in becoming a trainer, I prefer the Koehler method but you guys obviously do some amazing work and I want to learn all I can, I want to use whatever method is most reliable.

  • @corvaxxx That session was about 35-40 minutes and was all in one lesson. Obviously he still had a long way to go after just one lesson, but this was a great start

  • u would b very ill informed and ignorant 2 think the only option is 2 put this dog down i have seen much worse turned into very loyal n friendly fam dogs

  • That dog should be put down. Dogs are just like people once they are mean they will always have that potential to be mean in the future

  • well thats not true

  • That's false...You should be banned for saying a thing like that.

  • Sorry, banned for saying a thing like that? Your going to call for someone to be banned for making a statement? Even if the offend you, you don't call for banning or ristricing someone. Don't you realize that when you do that you give away your right to say what you want aswell? Don't call for banning or the restriction of people, that is silly! You give up your First Amendment Right if you want but don't call for others to lose theirs, regardless of what they say. Unless, threaten you physicaly

  • you really need to research more about dogs and thier behavior before writing comments because you make yourself sound like a right cockhead

  • I see a different dog at the end of the 9 minutes. I see a dog that has been removed from his "comfort zone" of acting a certain way and brought around fairly quickly to act a different way.

GREAT JOB with an obviously difficult dog. A dog that some people wouldn't even try with.

  • I'm sure this will be deleted, but trying to train aggression out with an e-collar is asking for trouble. E-collars are great tools to build up obedicance, but you are nagging that dog with your little zap. Nagging will not remove the behavior.

  • wrong again you aren't a trainer so keep it buttoned

  • Wonderful behavior on trainer's part. Calm, assertive, and insistant that HIS boundaries are respected. I would love to know what triggered such aggression from 3 months of age!!

  • lack of knowlegde on the owners part

  • Any updates or updated videos on this dog? I would love to see how far hes come!

  • He's mad 'cause you snubbed his tail! Too bad you'll probably never be able to trust that dog. Owners are too sheepish with their dogs. My pit wont even let me put my hand in its mouth.

  • then you should not own that dog, you cant control it. and if you cant put you have in its mouth then there are some trust problems there... go to school or loss the dog

  • It could be a imbalance or medical issue. It might be rehabilitated but I still Wouldn't trust it.

  • Wow....I could never imagine my girls doing this, they love people and other dogs...they think the world is out to pet them haha. Ive always owned female pits among other breeds but I heard males are a lot more aggresive is that true ne body? or just a personal oppinion because Ive never had a problem with my girls but my ex bf had a male and he ended up having to put him down because he got so dog aggresive...and other things.

  • which 1 is d owner? d 1 holdin the leash?? cause hes tryin to bit him. oh my god

  • wow...

  • he reallllllllllyyyyyyyyyyy wants to bite the shit out of u

  • This is good, their not going "good boy" like most dog trainers. Their being calm and assertive like that dood Cesar Millan.

  • what would the best way to introduce protection training to a new pitbull?

  • It's your decision not mite, but we shouldn't train pits as guard dogs or pesonal protection dogs. These dog were bred to love ppl.

  • first step, consult a professional trainer and have your dog evaluated. then discuss your options

  • nice job, thats one way to save a pitbulls life

  • i can see y pitbulls are illegle here!

im not scared of any dogs in the world except pitbulls and dobemans and rely big german sheperds

  • That dog has had something done to it to make it that mean. There not naturally taht mean. I can vouch cuz my whole family raises pits. I have my own as well. What makes pits mean usually is keepign em on the chain, and just letting em stay there. HEll that will make a chiwawai mean. PS I know this cuz Ive seen it. Its really unfortunate its so hostile.

  • Dont blame the breeds they are not the problem. It all boils down to the owner, they are the one that makes the dog like that weather they ment to or not. I own and train the breeds you listed, and the best dog I have ever had which I currently have is a pit/german shepherd mix.. It is no different than you saying that a whole race of people are bad just because a few of them have commited crimes. I just ask that people stop blaming the breeds. FYI Pitbulls were breed as human companions.

  • is that a shock collar on his neck or something because i keep seeing a light

  • I really love this video. I have watched it several times. The first time I watched it I got a little teary eyed. Darren, what you have done with Louie in a single session is mind boggling.

  • Its like that becuase its a pittbull. If they haven't been corrected when biting someone before, even just play bite, tehy will always get away with it when tehy mean to bite. Stop them the first time and tehy'll not do it again. Well, unless of course you encourage them too.

  • shut up that is not the reason u dont know nothing bout dogs

  • @GayEfron It's like that because it's a dog. Breed has nothing to do with it, all dogs learn the same way.

  • Nice job Darin...Nice!

  • wow my pitbull will get mad at a dog in a second but never would go after a person like this wow

  • WOW GREAT!!!

  • Very impressive! This dog is very lucky to have responsible owners that choose a great training company.

  • I noticed his tail is docked. Makes me wonder if he's the product of bad breeding -- operating under the assumption it was docked at 2-3 days -- since no knowledgeable breeder would dock an APBT's tail as it's a DQ under the breed standard. Meaning his issues could be genetically ingrained. Personally, if I had an APBT that was showing human aggression that early in life, I would have had the dog PTS. Training is preferable to just letting the behavior continue, though. Good luck with him.

  • LoL , not very intelligent are you ?? Just because his tail is docked does not mean anything , some people just like that look .... I would not do that to my baby , but that is what some people like . You are a horrible person to say you would put the pup down .... puppies just like kids can change.

  • Evidentally you are up on dog training. Ceasar uses collars. Why don't you get in touch with the owners and see what they have to say. SMS does great work with all problems dog owners have.

  • If this dog has bitten many people (including the handler.. :O ) this dog needs to go to the bridge. Regardless of the breed.. this is not common of the breed AT ALL. Pitbulls love humans.

  • To the best of my knowledge, with the exception of redirecting on the owner once, this dog has never bitten anyone.

I agree about the normal behavior of pitbulls and this is not normal. I have a wonderful example of the breed myself. My APBT will be 8 yrs old next week.

  • @pink0rz it just means the dog shouldn't be bred, it doesn't need to be PTS if it can be trained.

  • Nice job with this dog. I wouldn't be able to get anywhere with this dog. Very impressive!

  • Very nice demonstration of the results that can be achieved with the right trainer and technology. I am sure if the dog could write a review he would Thank the trainer!!!

  • Impressive, yeah, right.

That dog needs to be put out of it's misery. I would have put him down already.

  • This dogs' owners are lucky to have found you guys.

With your training, at least they have the option of helping their family dog rather than giving up and euthanizing him. Nice work!

  • Impressive!

  • I've seen these guys; they are really good. Their relaxed but their communication with the dog is firm & assertive. They know what they are doing & they get results.

  • nice video. Good to see someone willing to work with these dogs.

  • This dog is suffering and the best thing to do would be to gently send him to the Rainbow Bridge.

  • wow, snazzy work bro. outstanding what e-collars and a well trained person can do with an agressive dog.

  • isn't it better to fully inro the collar with motion commands before making the dog remain stationary??

  • Good trainer.

What was the collar set at? What is the real time on the training session? If this was really all done in 9 minutes you should call up Ceasar and tell him to find a new name as you are the true dog whisperer.
