You can try a Paul Reed Smith guitar, they're pretty good and have some under 1000

Always look for a Gibson though. Or even some Dean Guitars.

@Radan137 It's a Gibson Les Paul Double Cutaway, in Root Beer red. As far as I'm aware, that's what he's using. Unfortunately, Gibson no longer sell this model in the Root Beer, or cherry red finish, just black white or gold.
