@mobi, The finnish police and public prosecutor say that pain killers and anaestetics were in Ladyshensky's body. Creme and pills have been found in Ladyshensky's bag and somebody rubbed something into his skin before the competition.
Finnish people are not corrupt and they do not lie. Check the corruption perception index in Wikipedia.
Comparing the ranking of Finnland (4) and Russia (154), I'd rather trust the finns.
I knew Vladimir. We from one city. I know organizers of Russian command. I know the world champion on a sauna Tatyana Arhipenko. We live in one city of Novosibirsk. It in Siberia. I saw their trainings. And I can swear and guarantee that any statements for application of anesthetics, it is bald lie.
Russian fighter Vladimir Ladygensky has won all former Finnish champions on a sauna. All saw, how Timo Kaukonnen the first has risen and has surrendered to it. It is removed on a videocamera.
The Finnish organizers of the championship didn't want to give a fair victory to the Russian participant. Yes, he has died, but as the hero. And before the death has made a fair victory.
@mobibavideo russian was unconscious and probably dead in that point when timo did try to get out from the sauna and vladimir cheated whit drugs so that didin't was fair victory
The Russian participant sat and answered with negative gesture that won't leave. Тимо asked it to leave with it, but he has refused. Certainly it was live also it was in consciousness.
It is impossible to be dead or without consciousness and to sit in such pose. Once again look video. It was live and continued struggle.
The first who has risen from a bench, that has lost. Тимо has lost.
I wonder how the 2009 WC winner looks now with his skin peeling off? And: Who will be accused in the light of this tragic foolishness called "Sauna WC"?
Killer Sauna! The winner, who is now hospitalized says at 1:47: " 30 seconds ago it hurt like fuckin' hell - but now it feels like I haven't even been to the sauna".
And the Russian dude at 1:32 is dead. Cause of death: Commercially induced Hyperthermia! I believe the Finns should stick to the less lethal "Wife Carrying Competition".
I'm curious how long these guys stayed in the sauna. At my old gym, it would climb to 120 celsius (about 245 farenheit), and I stayed in there for about fifteen minutes. It was hard, but not world championships hard.
I would also be afraid of any possible bodily or neurological damage from doing this.
@rngr888 No, I'm not lying. It was well above boiling point, but that doesn't affect the body (being below freezing point doesn't affect us either). Keep in mind this was a dry sauna without any humidity.
well its not actually 150 degrees,......most of the time it ends around 120 degrees but when u see what 120 degrees hot steam does with a piece of Beef meat then i think thats already hot enouth for me ^^
Hey, I hope you don't think this is an inappropriate question because I'm ecstatic about this as an idea but why exactly and how is this a real sport? Also can I get on a mailing list so I can hear about local competitions and train myself to compete? Thanks

It has been published that Ladyshenskij has used local anaesthetics and pain killers.
He is not a hero at all, he was just a cheater.

@captainampersand you were in a 245 degree Fahrenheit room for fifteen minutes?
SatansSpatula 1 year ago
@SatansSpatula I think once you add steam and humidity the effect of the heat grows exponentially... I was in a dry sauna.
captainampersand 1 year ago
@captainampersand I thought you were a fool or a liar, then I read about these competitions. Apparently, they do reach insane temperatures like that!
SatansSpatula 1 year ago
@captainampersand well its safe to say that you are a liar. your skin would almost be at boiling point. i think you mixed up the letters C and F

@rngr888 er... If he had mixed up Celsius and Fahrenheit it would have meant an even *hotter* temperature.
