Awesome way to live life! This summer starting from Cleveland, Ohio I rode a bicycle to wherever I wanted. It was one of my best experiences ever and gave me the opportunity to divest myself from all kinds of illogical fears and beliefs. The trip finished in Carson City, Nevada after 40 days and 2,400 miles. I can tell you, the next one will be longer and just as much fun. Enjoying the now of the only life we have (while not exploiting humans or resources) is always a good thing.

This made me happy. I wasn't able to get out this summer and I had to cancel a trip this November just to get to Yosemite. Maybe next year.... Though, I will go to see the swans and snow geese up north next week. Talk about beautiful.

One word stood in my mind as I watched this: PERFECT.
I'm serious, this is incredible, and I got a small taste of life when I traveled from my home in Louisiana to my boyfriend's old home in Georgia. we were fleeing before Gustav, but I wasn't going to miss out on some beautiful southern landscape views. when I get my new computer, I'll make a slideshow of the few pics I managed to take before the battery died.

Science in not exclusive to just nature, science is the study of everything.
So science doesn't explain human behaviour, there is such a thing as Psychology, The study of the mind.
Science lends itself to everything, we would not have the luxuries we enjoy today if it was not for science.

Oddly, there is much of this conversation that is missing. You are only seeing part of the conversation. My point to her was that psychological theory can only be "proved" by logic through observation. The field of psychology is way off base. They will often commend parents on particular behaviors that actually cause the problems that their children have. That is just one example. Most of their answers to problems of the mind is that the human mind has design flaws. They don't understand.

notice how much time he spent in beautiful british columbia. we have barring a reef to my knowledge-every geological feature there can be. mountains, trees, the 3 rocks, volcanoes, geisers, glaciers, lakes, rivers, an ocean on the coast. all these are a testament (pardon the irony lol) to how old the earth is and not being created. kinda hard to figure that out when u live in a fox bubble and can see ur dog run away for 4 days. ps-the ancient cultures used aquaducts, better than water towers lol

This obviously would coincide with the common law marriage. Even if Creationists do not want to recognize Gay Marriage it least have the decency to recognize common law marriage and allow them to have the same Tax breaks any other Legal United States citizen can receive.

You could argue the point that the scientists performing the Carbon Dating are being scientifically untruthful. But the same could be said about the bible. I mean in all honesty, arguing over these things are completely trivial. Because, when you go to bed tonight you'll still believe what you want and the same will go for me. I consider my self extremely tolerant as long as EVERYONE is being treated the same and EVERYONE has equal rights. No I am not gay. Straight as a board.

This is in no way an attack on your religious beliefs. I respect you as a person and I respect your religion for the morals that it has. I just do not believe the human race requires religion anymore to have morals. Another reason were getting passed technologically in our country is religion. That is a fact, not an insult. A Christian once said to me "Dont you see? they want to put chips in our hands to black mail us, and if we accept gay marriage it will bring the apocalypse." Seriously?

First, I never stated I only believe being I want to go to heaven. and I wasn't doubting. I was trying to express a point. That an atheist has nothing to gain out of his beliefs. I have absolutely no doubt in my Lord. I've experienced healing, deliverance, spiritual gifts. There is no way I can doubt.

You choose to believe that you live this life to gain an afterlife. I choose to believe that I live this life(the only one I can 100% garauntee that I have btw) to live this life. Philosophy and Science do not mix well and religion belongs in Philosophy. I am an animal, I live where conditions are favorable to life, I hunt(go to work), I gather(groceries), I reproduce, I instinctually avoid things that make life impossible. I am at my core, an animal.
