  • ery interesting footage, thanks for sharing!

btway, do you know why they dont use the manhattan terminal anymore? i liked the thought of boarding her in europe and leave right in the middle of it all :)

  • BTW, You're both wonderful! :)

  • I'm going in October, I'm taking my mum. I can't wait for her to see the stars on the Atlantic. ;) I will remember it forever.

  • @xskuzeme i'm jealous ... enjoy

  • Looks like fun.

I have never been on a cruise. It would be nice to go some day.

  • Aaah, the lovely brown water of the Hudson! :)

  • Oh, Wow - I'm sailing on her to the Caribbean! on 27th November, and can't wait either. I'm travelling with three friends

  • My daughter and I crossed the Atlantic... with her dog! We were all treated like royalty! I booked a cruise to the Caribbean in Nov. and I can't wait!

  • I would do just about anything to be able to sail aboard QM2, saw her last november in Halifax, Fantastic!

  • Carnival = cheap $99 "bang for your buck cruise"

Cunard = expensive yet elegant transatlantic getaway.

  • We just got a mailer from Cunard about some really "reduced" fares in Nov.& Dec.We now plan a cruise Dec. 10 in a Queens Suite. It's larger than the Princess Suite we did last Jan., but will be about $2500 less overall(WOW!!). Just feel we can't pass up this bargain. Once the economy picks up later this year the prices will start back up again.

  • My partner Richard and I have done 4 cruises on QM2. The last one was Jan.3-13 of 09' We did a Princess P-1(Rm 10047)Met some nice folks who had the Sundringham Suite. Very Nice. After doing 3 Brittania class voyages, we decided to upgrade to "Brittania Club" Grill Class was full, 2 weeks before we sailed Princess suite became avail. We went for it. Of course our luggage & such wound up in the "former" room. Took a few hours to get it delivered, no big deal. Definately worth the extra cash!

  • I wonder. From the Beginning to 0:14, I think that whining noise may be the turbine generators.

  • We love cruising!!! I cannot wait to take our first transatlantic!! Your suite looks nice and roomy!!

    xoxox

  • Absolutely ... we love cruise vacations.

I remember the vid you did on your cruise to Cozumel, it looked like you guys had a great time.

  • @Glasschick07 It's roomy. But that's just a britannia balcony suite, which is precisely only 246 square feet. The biggest suites onboard the ship (there is only two on the ship) is the Grand Duplex, which is 2800 square feet. It even has an upstairs. But for the basics the room is quite nice and luxurious. And anyways, I can't even afford the Grand Duplex!

  • Okay, I'm ready for my next round of living vicariously through you (luxuriously, too)-so keep 'em coming!

Across the pond and back in how many days?

(When you went under the bridge, did you jump and touch it?) ;o)

  • We held our breath ... I am told there is only 4 feet of clearance under the bridge. From our vantage point it looked like 4 inches.

It takes 6 days to get from New York, USA to Southampton, England ... I wish it was longer ... loved every minute of it.
