  • He asked for this.

  • CYBORG!!

  • I don't have any gears in my body ))) and metal parts too

  • Oh noes. Now they are one step closer to making terminators.

  • this is what Europe is doing. the US just keeps making smart phones...anyone else see a problem here?

  • i dint hear how the "feeling" parts work, like how it makes him feel sensation ,or did i miss something?

  • @yourallbrainwashed the surgeons reattached the severed nerves that were connected to his old hand to the new robotic one. what he is "feeling" are the electrical signal generated from the the finger tips (by some type of transducer). Those artificial signals travel up his arm and to his brain where his brain interprets them as sensation.

  • why havent i heard anything about this before?!?!?!

  • How is he to take a bath without shorting out his hand?

    I don't get it.

  • @autonomous2010 he does not take a bath with it. Someone commented on another video saying its like a cell phone. at night you take it off and charge it. so he does not take it in the bath.

  • @Baseshocks Ohh when the video said "directly linked to the brain" "complicated procedure" "linked up nerve endings in his arm" I just assumed that it was permanently attached. Doesn't sound like something that can be easily removed like a cell phone.

  • @autonomous2010 i have not seen one but im assuming its like a cell phone battery, the metal conductors on his arm touch the metal on the robotic arm that connects it. or they might have a more sophisticated way to send the signals threw the skin. if anyone else knows please feel free to correct me.

  • @autonomous2010 ok i might me wrong i watched the video again they talked about a permanent version to stay attached to the arm and the brain.... I officially have no clue how this works, i was just going off what i saw in other videos, other robotic hands. This one is far more hightech.......

  • I want that!*chops of hand* robotic hand please :D

  • @ScopzLiFe

    Stupid fuck.

  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • fuckin awesome

  • i never asked for this

  • Can't wait for the hand computer virus that makes the hand give the finger or it keeps slapping the owner.

  • Deus Ex is not far away now...

  • WTF IS DEXUS EX

  • @crby101 It's a video game, involves an evil prosthetics corporation, and the main character is loaded with prosthetic parts! Eyes, arms, legs, you name it!

  • One step closer to deus ex becoming a reality... oh wait it is already happening.

  • Fiero di essere italiano per una volta / Proud to be Italian for once

  • He never asked for this

  • @Edgarssprogis he's happy because he got a damn hand back , I Would do the same thing

  • sverige! stop dubbing him. <3

  • Im pretty sure the robotic hand is being controlled by the mans other hand not his brain.

  • Where's the Sarif label? :o

  • Or you could replace or charge the battery.....

  • What about Lifespan? It needs a battery that last as long as a human life.

  • @supermankicass Cyber Pro-Energy bars, obviously.

  • Comment removed

  • this is all kind of made a little pointless by the progress made in bioartificial organs and tissue where someone like this man can have an actual human hand again.

  • @TenthBlackRose - You make a very good point, though this type of technology could also be used for robots to allow them to better sense what they are doing when handling an object.

  • thumbs up for deus ex

  • purity first you can't stop the future

  • T1 did happen???

  • now just attach a few elbow swords....

  • Oh look how clunky the augmentations were! They're so much smoother now in 2027 =]

  • WANT WANT WANT

  • GAAAANNNNDHHHIIIIII!! 1111ONE

  • Is it possible that I can donate my right arm to someone who needs it and I can have this? I wanted to become half Cyborg anyway, so Scientist would love me to be a guinea pig.

  • @supermankicass Yes, actually: watch?v=JgaMZT1Z2dw

As to whether they'll actually let you 'donate' or not, I don't know.

  • Damn nature, you scary... oh wait, its not nature. Its opposite of it. Damn technology, your scary.

  • we can rebuild him....

  • I asked for this.

  • I want my TF2 Gunslinger, right now.

  • He never asked for this

  • I never asked for this.

  • He should've been standing outside the theater when people just have been watching Terminator. Just scaring the crap out of them..

  • Anybody see the first scene in surrogates?

  • how much does it cost, any theorys or guesses

  • LIES! HE IS A SLAVE! AND TAKING DRUGS NOW TO KEEP THE AGUMENTATION! THE GOVERMENT WANT TO CONTROL US! AND WE HAVE HACKED THE SARIF INDUSTRIES!!!!!

  • #Sariff Industries

  • #LOL ?

  • i am hearing a whisper that says ,, bruuce campbeeel

  • On the part where the swede talked about the hand i managed to hear "Det är svårt", implying that it's very difficult to control the hand. The translations were close, but not entirely accurate of what he said... just pointing out so you guys know

  • and so has the cyborg age..begun

  • The robotic hand is cool,

  • Edwards auto mail in FMA is most likey inspired by "Army of Darkness" watch this film and you will know what i mean, allthough the arm in the army of darkness movie is only the forearm, it looks identical to eds arm.

  • Add this technology, with the XOS 2 exoskeleton and refine this to its maximum effectiveness and also a plasma cutting samurai blade, and you will have a cyborg ninja much like metal gear solid risings raiden or greyfox...its good to know my dreams are becoming a reality.

  • This is exactly the wrong way to see the technology.

  • @mawknation how it this wrong?? please elaborate

  • @Thirdeye386 This technology can give far more to the world than dumb anime characters.

  • @mawknation there is no anime characters in this video, wtf r u even talking about?

  • @Thirdeye386 Oh, that was in reply to some dude who was fantasizing about how he could use it to become some dumb approximation of a robot ninja. Not sure why my original comment didn't have the quoted guy's name in it. The video itself is fantastic and I think the possibilities for this technology are near limitless, but kids who just want to use it to attach anime swords to their bodies are missing the point.

  • I never asked for this...

  • +25 max health on wearer

    -no random critical hits

  • can it feel MA PUSSY

  • its disease and infection both! soon they will transform everybody with same shit! and they will program u for that! u are not independent!

  • @SalmanBari86 you do realise that they made a microchip that had the ability to shutdown the brain at a flick of a switch? this is not BS, look it up

  • @ShakaSamurai You mean the switchboard feeding an electric chair? lol. Exactly what are you referring to? What is anyone supposed to look up? "Brain shut-down microchip?"

  • Finally taking inspiration from Fullmetal Alchemist haha. I find this so fascinating. It's incredible technology.

  • @Azybee While this is amazing tech, I do believe the idea was around before FMA, if anything FMA was most likely inspired by something else.

  • @loxidon667 When dumb people here will get away from talking about football or celebrities that's when important news like these would become the breaking news in America.

  • poor guy, but how can he wash/shower with it? I can imagine problems with infection!

  • Luke I'm your father

  • I'm so glad we have people on this planet that are smart enough to make this shit. Just awesome!

  • But when I wank with it, I want it to feel like it's somebody else, please. Thank you.

  • What is he called? - Luke?

If so I think I know who his father is...

  • Brought to you by... Sariff Industries.

  • @TheBaconDeity i cant wait!

  • there already was a virus in the Rfid implant of the guy who has doors open infront of him based on it.

  • Sarif Industries brought me here :)

  • thumbs up if you'd chop off your own arm to get a more developed version of this

  • 2 people missed the like button because they were using outmoded prosthetics without haptic feedback

  • Heck if the hand got good enough i'd even offer to remove one of my hands just for the sake of getting one ey :D

  • I like how the wack off comment has 69 likes

  • anakin skywalker^^

  • THAT DUDE LOOKS SO BAD ASS WITH A HOOK!

  • fan va irriterande när han började prata och sen kommer en amerikansk översättare-.-

  • where can i see the full video?

  • that's awesome, great effort! I think some combination of the genetics and robotics are the ways of the future to correct the faults in our bodies and nature, often problems and suffering push us to evolve..I think we should learn to evolve and be ready for anything..just like in that movie The Day the Earth Stood Still "Our sun was dying, we had to evolve in order to survive - Klaatu"

  • You do NOT want to play a game of arm wrestling with this dude!

  • he's a cyborg ^_^ lol

  • Why don't they just work on actually growing old limbs back?

  • wow

  • 1:40 sweet uni-brow

  • interesting

  • holy crap that looks awesome!

  • HEES A STROGG

  • is it on batteries?

  • like anyone can afford 1. XD

  • once i was with my dad and my foot that was cut off because it was crushed in a car accident so now i have a metal leg that goes up to my knee good thing it didnt crush my whole leg otherwise it would be hard to walk, i feel realy happy that that man has a hand that responds to his brain

  • Comment removed

  • at first I heard he say an aggresive tuba so I was like "how hard was this guy playing the tuba that he lost his hand?"

  • someone should invent automail

  • 25 years after the first Terminator movie, we can see now robotic hands that look quite similar. That's indeed an exciting age.

  • Wow, this is amazing. Real, working, cyborg hands. Makes you wonder until stuff like this is common place, like will smith's hand in iRobot.

    I am proud, humanity.

  • BTW, does it include antihacking technology so nobody can make it stronger for bad proposes?

  • @spider853 Well, i don't think the small motors in the fingers would last for long if you put higher voltage on them, and the battery youre using would be empty too.

What i wonder about is, could you somehow get electricity from the energy you'd normally use to move the muscles, so you dont have to carry batteries?

  • @NoiteraD I don't think it is possible yet without batteries. Our muscles are highly advanced and got very energy efficient with evolution. Motors can't output the same force with this kind of energy.

But someone correct me if I'm wrong :)

@Video: It makes me feel really happy to see that it is possible with modern technology to give these people some degree of a 'normal' life back. Someday they will look just like normal limbs.

  • question: if the hand has feeling in it and its detachable does it hurt when you remove the hand?

  • @joejoe8151 no, because you will turn it off, and I don't think it has a big signal.. just a small impulse

  • @joejoe8151 i dont think it does since its not stiched on the wrist if you unplug the wires on the wrist it might kill him

  • Is it just me or did the narrator translate completely wrong?

  • question ?

how much power can the arm take

can it lift like 30 Kg ?

  • will I get a powerfist in the next 10 years?

  • D00d.Seriously, I immediately went to gun arms.

  • Let the force be with you luke.

  • Well, the real question is, does it need batteries to operate? Or does it feed off of the energy from brain waves?

  • This is the future in Knex technology, people!

  • Holy garbage pails. This is insane. Jesus.

  • just give these things to that big dog robot and humanity is boned

  • @timelordcreation just give these things to us and big dog is boned :p

  • i'm gonna chop my arms and legs and get robot ones then take over the world...

  • now that is the most advanced robotic hand i have ever seen

  • Fuck my hand ran out of batteries again lmao

  • After all these years even this hand is far away from the artificial hands in the starwars movies :)

  • @ShwangShwing

    Not really,

Consider how old star wars is, and compare that to the mere 10 years that they have been developing this hand. Since 1999.... Thats insanely fast results!

If the hand tech was as old as star wars then you could predict a 3 fold of improvement. Personally id try and design a better hand then the human one. Maybe a laser pointer or bottle opener attachment.

  • @skeletonmi16

Or start making extra limbs like an Adeptus Mechanicus Mechadendrite.

    ^_^

  • aibot user kicks your ass. And he did it in his f'in basement.

  • SWEDEN!!! RULES!!

  • mostruosooooooooooooooo bellissimoooooooooooooooo l'uomo è una macchinaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa finalmente s'inizia a divulgare la notizia...ahahha

  • This is what Injured and Amputed Soldiers around the world are waiting for.

  • This what Injured Soldiers around the world are waiting for.

  • @Topulis91

And eventually the science will be able to rip out a brain and put it in an artificial body... The perfect soldier. Like in terminator salvation.

  • @damnomaly nah, that movie sucked

  • @damnomaly that is what i waiting for my brain. i dont care my body, i just care mi mind. do yo have a video about it?

  • Wait i THOUGHT SOCIALISTS HAD SHITTY HEALTHCARE WTF!!??! lol j/k

  • @xfvkemosx

Wait, i drove past a sign in sweden that said "komune"..... I think their Communists...... what ever that means.... my tv says its bad.

I vote we should put a robotic hand on the moon, SHOW THEM GOOD!

  • wait, linked to the brain? he gets feedback from it? O.O

    that guy is a cyborg, a real cyborg;

let me say it again: CYBORG

  • how to download?

  • :) Life is gonna be so interesting as I get older...

  • inspector gadgets!!

  • cool!!!

  • from family guy star wars:

Luke: All right, is this thing good to go?

Medical Droid: Yeah, but practice on a hot dog first. Otherwise you might rip your dick off.

  • @wickkidda LOL wtf?! XD

  • Comment removed

  • How the hell has no one mentioned Ghost in the Shell, yet? Jeez, people!

  • very awesome

  • @kantana1022 loldowner

  • awesome soon we can have cybernetics and can be a cyborg :D lol. great

  • Soon there will be a robotic hand virus that will make you slap yourself and offer you protection from pop-ups.

  • @BonScottAC lmfao

  • the real question is can u wack off with it

  • @teamkvs Well it all depends on whether or not it has a vibrating feature.

  • @teamkvs THATS JUST WRONG

  • @teamkvs he could always use his other hand :D!! pwnt

  • @teamkvs

you can, but it ask you to create an acoount yourself first^^

  • omg skynet!!!

  • the real test is can u play a 360/ps3 with them?

  • this is awesome

  • haha go sweden :D

  • But look how "immature" i am in comparison. XD

  • Altright, i know it sound wrong in this very politicaly correct society but i mean it in the least offensive way. it just would, i have nothing agains homosexuals.

P.S you say i need to grow up, just look at some of the comments bellow.

  • Because (not that im homophobic or anything) it would kreep me out if you wernt.

  • i am so glad we finnaly got this working.

  • This is incredibly cool.
