  • yo,is this real.this reminds me of the FINAL FANTASTY 7 story of SEFEROTH(how ever you spell his name)

  • Damn it. My brain is starting to hurt again from all of this knowledge.

  • this is stupid!!

    boring!!

  • very boring

  • i really hope someone can make ancient species like dodo / t-rex

  • @DanielChan94 watch the bald headed guy giving her the eye....best part of this is the women....so sexy

  • One thing I learned:

    I am a mutant! c:

    (Is that a relief?)

  • Natural Selection is very painful. I watched the Survivor series and made me realize one thing "f..k".

  • What Bruce Lipton in his book "Biology of Belief" says then makes sense That it's really impossible to determine why and how proteins in the cells operate as they are triggered by external factors, such as environment, emotion and yes beliefs! So even if one discover's the chemical composition of the proteins making up the DNA, one can never tell how they will function unless one can delve into the mind of the individual, study his beliefs, his programming in youth and his environment!

  • @angelialvares bes part of this is the women...quite sexy for a phd....also i see the guys giving her the eye

  • SHE IS AMAZING!

  • wow she's hot, I'll hit it

  • Beth Shapiro is a very attractive woman.

  • hey guys anyone want to see a hip hop performance of the mater dei competition? just go to my channel please.

    thanks

  • we are all mutants beth!

  • I WANT MOREEEEE!!!!

  • Deoxyribonucleic acid

  • someone that knows any youtube people that uploads more videos like this other then national geo ?

  • There is no other species on the Earth that does science. It is, so far, entirely a human invention, evolved by natural selection in the cerebral cortex for one simple reason: it works. It is not perfect. It can be misused. It is only a tool. But it is by far the best tool we have, self-correcting, ongoing, applicable to everything. It has two rules. First: there are no sacred

  • @nigelsenchez Don't you find it intriguing and a tad curious? We just seem so distant from other animals. Every animal seems to have a balance, they have a purpose in their eco system.. what's ours? We're sure great at destruction.. but what else? What do we contribute to the planet Earth?

  • @SmileChicky What about the 99% of animals who graced this earth that are already extincted. Did they have a purpose (balance) in their environment? A person's life has meaning (for himself, others) as the life events resulting from his achievements, legacy, family, etc., but, to say that life, itself, has meaning, is a misuse of language, since any note of significance, or of consequence, is relevant only in life (to the living), so rendering the statement erroneous.

  • @nigelsenchez It still works out. They died off because they didnt fit into the eco system. Foer the record I don't believe life has any meaning, its random and we're lucky to be here. But eco systems are a working chain, and every animals that is alive and thriving fits in. We don't :/ We adapt well, but seem unbalanced compared to other creatures.

  • @SmileChicky in my opinion eco balance is an illusion, most species have died (99% is the estimate) way before we were even around, i wouldn't call that balance, and we can't be blamed for that... we are apex predators and we do what apex predators do, the one difference i would say (and it can be argued) is that we SHOULD know better. we do have the power of foresight, now let's use it and save countless species and OURSELVES in the process...

  • @DjDedan but thats the thing, it still balances itself out. Animals that arent up to fitting in, and doing their job well seem to just.. die out. Either due to stupidity or not adapting fast enough to the changing environment. We seem to be really strange, imo anyway. We adapt to just about anything, yet don't serve a proper role. Apex predators, shark for example, help by keeping numbers down of animals that breed to fast. We do that in some aspect, but not on a large scale.

  • @SmileChicky Sharks are not "helping" keep numbers down they are eating for survival, there are probably a myriad of cases where animals have eaten themselves to extinction... we are really no different than any other apex predator that has became way too efficient, the big difference is that we can actually curb our natural urge... in other words we should know better...

  • There's something so satisfying in watching YouTube videos instead of studying for tonight's final

  • @SSJkiller you're so damn right

  • @SSJkiller u should always stop studying at least 3 days before finals and jus relax...that gives your mind time to settle down and absorb at its own pace...no use just trying to cram all right up to the moment before you go to the exam....i always did that to better results....

  • My mother-in-law is. actually a mutant

  • they debait this while fucking......

  • So many college drop outs here

  • Atheists and the religious can both eat dicks. Pretentious heaps of stool. Spend a few decades in a world eons old and you think you have all the answers. Its ok to be confused, im sure your little egos will recover.

  • @dragonstyle79 are you drunk?

  • @dragonstyle79 hahaha love it.

  • I was 100% certain that there would a religion debate. Bcoz you fucktards always shove your god on everybodies throats. FUCKING FUCK!!!

  • @FreeeeS amen.

  • Beth Shapiro is way too hot to be a world leading scientist...

  • typical, a nobel dictating who lives and who dies.

  • 11 dislikes??

  • religious flame war just proved @TheBattlefield101 sentence.

  • looks like host don't prepare to discussion..

  • God doesnt exist in any religious sense. Dont be fools. Religion is all about control or aiding the weak-minded in dealing with life, since its too hard for them. Its mostly just a vice, like anything else that helps you escape reality.

Your conciousness is just a hypercomplex mashup of biomatter and energy in a big meaty machine reacting just the right way with eachother. When you die you are gone. There is no spirit or soul or great ascension to the heavens. Your brain stops reacting and yo

  • @Themadness03080 It is also a good tool for uniting a society, helping quell dissent by aligning ideologies of the citizens. It has practical use in a totalitarian society.

  • @meathead36. Did you know penguins once flew. Due to them swimming more than flying they EVOLVED into pure swimmeers

  • @raseawall That's great; organisms have the ability to evolve minor changes in order to adapt to their environment. Something sure designed them well. I assure you thought, you didn't come from a chemical soup mixed with lightening and perfect atmospheric conditions. Understand, the people funding National Geographic believe in their "god". They certainly don't believe in evolution for our origin and that's no theory.

  • you're wasting your time here if you speak about religion...

  • @darknecromancer34 Religion

  • Do not call yourself a "scientist" or "logical" if you subscribe to evolution for origin of our species. You may not believe in creation but evolution is so illogical, anyone with an ounce of common sense would be looking for another explanation.

  • This is delightful, even (and especially) for a layperson like me. Their excitement is almost tangible.

Everyone please don't let this great video be marred by reading the comment section, and don't feed the trolls.

  • im a completely different side of religion/science, i think, if there are laws and equations that can be used to describe the universe around us, then someone must've set up those laws, higgs boson, and the universal quantum computer

  • why talking about religion on every damn science vids... just forget about that crap and enjoy the discovries... fucking move on

  • very interesting

  • the moment we're born we're starting to die..

  • WE ARE ONE

  • woman = 56058 words

    man = 783 words

    :D

  • @abhinavgaur13

Because it’s right up her alley.

  • Very, very interesting! I just wish that Martin Chalfie would articulate a bit more

  • wwoooo!! im a mutant!! :D

  • Man! That dude next to Beth is shaking his head more than Dixon with tourettes.

  • 249th

  • Science: Evidence and proof to prove our case.

Religion: Believe in anything that looks good without evidence and deny everything that opposes there "faith". 97% of wars are started because of religion.

    Science evolves.

Religion stays still and stares at the wall.

  • @TheBattlefield101 though i'm not religious at all and believe more with science, i do know that religion does change over time. if you take a religion class you will see that religions have changed and developed over time. i'm not saying that all religions change necessarily, but most do change.

  • @shikagaarakakashi True, if they wouldn't change they had already been exterminated by science. If science proves that something about a religion can't be true, it has to change in order to stay 'believable'..

  • @shikagaarakakashi What religions have changed? Christian? That's because ( sorry for my language ) they are a joke ! If they see a word they don't like they just change it ! like if it's some kind of a game to them ! Islam haven't changed since it came and it is still viable and you can see stuff mentioned 1400 years ago and it's proven today !!

  • @TheBattlefield101 97% of war is started because of greed/Land/Money/Oppression/Convince/Racism/ No religion claims that starting war is right so get your head out of your ass and go back to the other hipsters on the net, NVM youtube sorry here your opinions are intelligent

  • @TheBattlefield101 Where would we be without religion and war? Nowhere!

  • @blackbirdflight We would be in a tier 2 civilisation.

    Look it up.

  • @blackbirdflight We probably would be way more advanced science, technology and social wise. Religion is a dead weight we drag around.

  • @ogrish84 No religion, no war right? No war no radio, right? no radio no TV, right? No TV no interwebs... Well you say religion is deadweight, but it has just played its role. And i, for on, hope that it continues to do so. After 1349 almost all the priests here in norway died, our language almost died. But thanks to religion we can now write to each other. Think about that next time you are talking about religion. After all, what keeps humans going? Fate! BTW i am an Atheist..

  • @TheBattlefield101 "Religion: Believe in anything that looks good without evidence and deny everything that opposes there faith.

Science isn't always about evidence and proof. Most of their findings and understanding are based on theories. Even science proved itself wrong over the years. Some of what had said to be true turns out to be false, with the help of new technology.

  • @dclipe "Even science proved itself wrong over the years" Yes it did. It proved ITSELF wrong.

Its evolving in understanding the universe. Religion doesn't prove itself wrong, We do!

  • @TheBattlefield101 this guys brain s little than a peanut!!!

  • @jhnaveenjh Your grammar skills are shittier than a 2 year old child in Africa.

  • @TheBattlefield101 So are yours. There should be hyphens in "2-year-old" because it's a compound modifier, and your comparison is between "your grammar skills" and the African child--that is, according to your grammatical construction, a 2-year-old child in Africa is shitty, but this person's grammar skills are shittier. I imagine you meant to compare the skills of the child, not the child itself.

Man, don't you just hate being corrected by a condescending prick on YouTube?

  • Comment removed

  • @Meathead36 I was making a point about TheBattlefield101 playing grammar cop. Notice my last line, making fun of myself for the doing the same thing to him? Seriously, pay attention. Your comment was pointless.

  • @paxpaul Sorry, I didn't make it to your last sentence. You're correct. Comment removed. Seems you and I agree about the grammar police on youtube.

  • @Meathead36 The only time I correct people online is when they've incorrectly "corrected" someone else, and I always laugh at myself for doing it. :)

  • @TheBattlefield101 watever it is u understood my comment rit?? try to develop some brain man,,, and i can c nw im not d only one commented about ur brain here... but ur d odd one here commentin abt me... so think again... worldpeace!!!

  • @jhnaveenjh What the fucking fuck did you say?

  • @TheBattlefield101 i replied to ur comment thinkin ur frm a good family... nw i that ur nothin but a street boy with an internet connection.... nw all u can do s post some badwords u got frm ur mom and dad again to me... gud luck

  • @jhnaveenjh No I think you are from a uneducated family due to your shitty grammar skills that will not get you a job in life.

By the way, I live in a family that moves from different countries every 5 years, has houses in 21 different countries worth £250K each, being homeschooled at the highest awarded high school on record, owns every single video game for PC.

    Think before you type mister.

  • @TheBattlefield101 hahahahaha...... thank u for giving me ur family income eventhough i din ask for it!!!.... do u move to diff countries cos they kick u out... im sure u havnt seen d world yet... so pathetic comments and it shows ur silly personality....

  • @jhnaveenjh Are you serious?

I move countries because its nice for a difference instead of you sitting at your computer ranting over the internet with crap grammar days on end.

  • @TheBattlefield101 im not the one ranting here... and the situation here s simple... u dont know anythin abt me atall.... but i know manythings abt u nw... including ur family standards( gettin kiked out f evry country u stay) ur family income.... so who s a fool here... next tym dont give up somuch info abt u to strangers okay... and about ur brain u cannot do anythin cos dats genetic... not ur fault

  • @jhnaveenjh At least I get your adress down to the street number, age, every comment you placed on photography websites all on your public dnl. Looks like your life is in the shit.

    Bad Grammar boy

  • @TheBattlefield101 I'm scientist (psychologist), but I'm also religious and I believe that science is still too young to research religious ''problems''.

On the other hand, religions are based on FAITH. If you know somethin (scientific) than you don't have to BELIEVE.

  • @MrGeesikser "I'm scientist (psychologist)" < LOL, yeah, I'm scientist also(alchemist)

  • @TheBattlefield101

I disagree. Many people have USED religion as a reason to start a war. If a nation is bunden to 1 religion, it is only natural so assume that they will blindy follow you if you tell them that it is what God/their Gods want them to do.

Oh and religion evolves/adapts as well. Think about it. Still 500 years ago the church claimed that the earth was flat and that the earth was the center of the universe. Nowdays, most of the educated believers also believe in evolution.

  • @TheBattlefield101

(...) and kills the people in their back, thus not staring at the wall, while still staring at the wall.

  • @TheBattlefield101 That's because YOUR religion is failing ! Not all religions are bad.

Believe it or not my religion is the best thing that happened to me, and i'm not that religious !!

  • @m3g4game Okay, I'll bite. What stupid nonsense do you believe in?

  • @ArchNME No matter what I say here no one will care and will just keep making mocking responses like yours ( stupid nonsense ), I'm a Muslim I believe that god made us the way we are now no evolving or what so ever, I'm sure that most upcoming responses will be insults so I'll just ignore them.

  • @m3g4game Maybe you shouldn't ignore them. I mean have you ever looked at all the evidence that we didn't just pop on to earth just like we are now. The DNA and the fossils and such.

Also, ask yourself how believable the story of your religion would be if you didn't know anyone else who belived it. Like if a guy walked out of the desert today and told you god just dictated a book to him, would you fall for that?

  • @ArchNME Look god have special ways of creating his creatures,he made Adam and Eve and put them on earth to procreate and fill the earth with people that worship him (and that came exactly in all religion) there is no way that a human that thinks clearly really believe that everything just happened and we are here incidentally with no purpose to achieve.

No of course I wouldn't,I would look into it first, and that's what I did,i found that the holy Koran is flawless and can't be man made

  • @m3g4game Humans are just a type of great ape. We are closely related to chimps and gorillas and such and all share a common ancestor. In other words we evolved from the same creatures. This is actually true of all life. We are related to everything living to different degrees. From mice to broccoli. There is both fossil and DNA evidence of this.

You purpose is your to decide. I know all this isn't as simple as the story in the Koran, but that's just how it is.

  • @TheBattlefield101 Prepare for unlimited flame because you were saying what you tought :(

  • Thats very wrong but you never give a shit about religion thats the reason you dont know the truth about god so first read and learn then start to answer or never do that again....

  • @TheBattlefield101 but that does not mean God is not real right . I dont care about religion either ! nowadays religion are struggling to be compatible with science . long before it was the opposite .... wow...... at how world changes

  • @TheBattlefield101 that indeed is true but you need to believe in something, otherwise life feels dull

  • @Shketri So I have to believe in something that isnt true to make my life cool?

Sorry I have alot of things ahead in my life without getting arrested for killing people because they are athiest (You have to in the bible, otherwise it's a sin).

I believe that you much do as much as possible in your life and change the world for the better. Religion doesn't do that.

  • @TheBattlefield101 you didnt get the point. you dont need to bbelieve in god if you dont thing he exists. belive in anything that inspires you and you think is true, like love for example. you can be atheist, but lack of spirituality is bad

  • @Shketri do you know there are actually science articles about love. Prove your sentence

  • @TheBattlefield101 97% of wars are caused of MUSLIM religion(not to be racist or something)...

  • @Idontgiveashit189 Really? and I guess the first and second world wars are because of them too? What are your statement built on ? tv shows and movies ?

  • @TheBattlefield101 I have also heard that claim that religion is the cause of wars. If you look at this statement critically, with a scientific mind, you sill see that the statement is not supported by the facts. If you substitute the word 'culture', I think you are getting closer to the truth. However, my conclusion is that most wars are caused by greed: I want your land, I want your gold, I want your women, I want more slaves, etc.

  • @BuickDoc if you factor in that nearly all armies in history were highly religious you could say that religion IS the cause of war.

  • @mitsukai89 Most armies in history were predominantly male, ergo maleness causes war?

  • @TheBattlefield101

This is wrong! Who said that Religion has no evidence? Do you know Islam? Then you might know that there scientific facts that were discovered recently that was mentioned in Quran (the book of Islam) 14 century ago. No evidence?

  • Comment removed

  • @maxereno0 quran said you cant mix fresh water with salt water... so please ¬¬

  • @kataevans What ?! what are you talking about ?

  • @kataevans Hm?! What are you talking about? Quran said that? Where?!!!

  • @TheBattlefield101 Science:has its benefits and used to help us live longer

Religion: gives meaning to our lives, brings people together as a community, teaches us the importance of sacrifice, shows us how good deeds can be rewarding and help us understand our lives and persevere even in the worst of times.

yes their are bad religions out their that teach hate

yes their are scientists out their that use science to kill others(nuclear weapons)

Conclusion:both can be good & bad

  • @b22chris correct

  • @TheBattlefield101 War, its more like 50:50 Half religion, half politics. And these days more wars are caused by politics (WWI, WWII, Cold War, Vietnam, Gulf War, Current War Today, none of those are religious based. As there are less religious people now compared to years ago the last religious inflicted war was probably over 100 years ago.

  • @DarthScosha I have to agree with you, but religion still wrong.

  • @TheBattlefield101 Yes because the Iraq war started because of religion right? World War 1 started because of religion right? The World War 2, the Vietnam war, cold war, all the wars in the middle-east, they are all because of religion aren't they? You're pathetic. 97% of the wars happen because of retarded people such as yourself.

  • @fuckoff989 Governments manipulate into religion and science in order to make wars for fuel!!

  • @TheBattlefield101 That's some dangerous you write there. Can you cover your facts?

Do you know that the Quran has many things in it, which contributed a lot to the modern science, and scientifically proven? If you don't know anything about religion or science, don't make strong arguments. If you indeed had known, I wouldn't been arguing with you right now.

Do some more research or continue playing your pitiful game, Battlefield.

  • @IntaCrock dont lie muslim

  • @IntaCrock The only "fact" he suggested was his statistic for war, which I feel is far higher than it actually is. That being said, on average around 7% of scientists even belief in God. I think this quote seems applicable. "Keep your religion out of my school, and I'll keep education out of your church."

  • Religions an outdated form of science in my opinion. We've simply moved on, why it has survived at all is (and I'm sorry to say this) because people are weak and need the security of answers to questions that we simply don't have. (life after death, origin of species, etc.)
