Actually you can shoot the tanks with the javelin if there's a building between you and the tank. The missile shoots out a bit, then travels upward allowing it to go over the building.

actually it starts at 4, but the pilot tells you that you have 3 mins to get there after a minute after the countdown starts, which is usually when he says he cant land at the barn i think.

I really don't mean to try and steal NGW's thunder, but I completed the mission yesterday after what had to be hundreds of failed attempts, and I thought I should share.

The first thing I did was get the RPD and go straight to the barn on the right. Go by the doorway, airstrike the field. RUN RUN RUN, shooting anyone that tries to stop you. Once you get by the house in a certain amount of time, you'll trigger a checkpoint. When you have the checkpoint, you have the level by the balls.

When you're by the side of the house, airstrike the flatbed truck with logs on it on the left side, and RUN RUN RUN down the right side, don't stop for anything. Keep on running, and you'll get there.

Also, if you think this level is hard on Veteran, wait until No Fighting in the War Room. You'll take your own life.

with the tanks you dnt need to have a direct line of site, it can be through a building (as in you dnt have to physicly see the tank) you just have to step back away from the building so there is enough room to fire the javlin before it flys upwards to the sky then down at the tank

i tried a different tactic, its just simply run as fast as you can down de hill, avoiding the larger groups of enemies, entering the church for example, it worked in hardened but i am not sure about veteteran...

after i shot the tanks, i grabbed a P90 and the SAW and i ran through the door in the right hut, in the right field (where this bloke goes) lie prone in the ditch and nail the guys coming out from the barriers by shooting through the little tunnel. Then equip P90 and gas it to the right where he goes, down the hil, throw all your grenades, then as you hit the first road go to he left , running just before the burnt down house, only a couple guys left, i did it under a minute on my third try.

Yes. You can tell because he got one shot and he got the red around the screen. On normal, you usually take a few shots before that happens.

Dunno if this'll work for anyone else but it worked for me with 1:30 to spare just set an air strike for the left path about 1/4 of the way down, when all the enemies come up the grassy area, then take the road down left, dont mind those enemies, they run behind a hill for some reason? anyway, yea, it was frustrating the first few times, if you need to call an air strike or two at the beginning do it then, after that its easy.
