Losi Eight E Brushless!

Check out my Losi 1.0 conversion. See it on my brothers youtube acct. prohomevideos Over 70mph. My tires were flapping the road and was slowing me down. I'm in the process of getting some foam tires and a small spur gear to push it even faster. Oh yea, I was running a Turnigy 2s and 4s in series. That's right 6s. Super fast. can i ask if there is a little more room in the tray to get a 5s?

or was the 4s a snug fit?

@1521joe There was a little more length room with the packs i used.. i still have the packs but sold the car last summer so no idea what the tray size was without the car.

@1521joe The car was good.. I just enjoy the 8th scale truggy more and dont like to have more cars or planes than i can take with when i go bashing or flying... Already trying to thin the heard some more around here.

@1521joe Never tried to gear it higher and just ran the losi conversion gearing,had tons of torque and i probably could of geared it up though. Ive got a truggy with the same set up and i could probably gear it up a little to.. tons of torque and tops out in the low 40mph range on 4s,plenty for bashing or occasional fun on a small track.

what kind of run times are you getting

I ran the car for 10-15 minutes usually,runtime varys depending on how hard you use the throttle.

Nice man, I just test ran my new eight 2.0 e with the 2100 and a 4s. Great torque and can't wait to get it to the track.

what diff wt oil did you put in the center diff

I put some grease in it,didnt have any diff oil at the time.

Go to amainhobbies or any other online hobby shop for pricing,i bought the car used as a roller and added the losi conversion kit and mmm 2200 kv combo. Your looking at between $500-$750 for a car,motor,and esc. Not including radio or packs. Theres rtr 8th scale 4wd buggies in the $500.00 range with everything except battries and charger as well.

Were you hitting top speed in the video? From your setup it just seems like it would go faster than that. The torque is amazing though!

The car isnt lacking on top end but its not geared for top speed runs only,someone else commented it should be faster in the forums but i really dont know how fast people expect it to be on 4s. Maybe its slow compared to 6s set ups geared for speed but i ran it at the track recently and it had similar power and speed to the other brushless cars i ran on the track and i had timing at 0,punch control at 100 and epa around 100 so it was quite dialed down. No idea on top speed but im guessing 40mph+

Yeah good point ;). I'm sure if you went racing against the nitros, you would no doubt be a lot faster anyhow. Keep up the great vids ;)
