There is no such thing as majority white. No offense to anyone, but white is recessive. Any eye, hair or skin color trait that is not a shade of brown or outright black is a recessive gene. All people regardless of race loved Mariah. Her music changed as the sound of pop changed. In the late nineties POP music became more influenced by hip-hop.

This has always bothered me. Mariah is not a slut, in any way. Yes, at times, she may dress provocatively. However, its because she was held down for so long and started in this business at such a young age. Also, she is the BIGGEST DIVA in the world. It's expected for her to be glamorous. She has remained, with exception of a single exhaustion breakdown, at the top of her game, productive, and grounded throughout her entire career, unlike the Lohans, Spears, and yes even Houstons of today .

Carey is biracial. She acknowledges herself as such she can reference either her black or her white ancestry. Just because she isn't dark doesn't make her any less ethnic. Biracial people come in my different shades and colors just like any other ethnic group. Actually, she has stated in many an interview and article that her father was a quarter Venezuelan, which, last I checked, did NOT make someone a black Venezuelan. This makes her somewhere around 1/8 Venezuelan, which I and majority of any consensus hardly consider Hispanic.

I don't know where you got your stats/figues from but they are wrong - English is the most widely spoken European language in the African Diaspora (Black America, Parts of the West Indies and Africa, which includes many of Nigeria's 100,000,000+ population) most spanish speaking black people are minorities in Caribbean and Latin American countries and Equatorial Ginea (the only Spanish speaking country in Africa) has a very small population. Please think before you quote stats that are not true!

Yeah its a cultural thing. In America, if you're 25% or (especially) 50% black, you're considered black. People do acknowledge that your mixed, but you're still black.
Its also about how you look. I have a friend who's 75% white 25% asian and she looks completely asian; Therefore, she's considered asian. Even though she's majority white.

There is no such thing as majority white. No offense to anyone, but white is recessive. Any eye, hair or skin color trait that is not a shade of brown or outright black is a recessive gene. And those traits won't only be superceded by the more dominan trait but there is a chance that that gene will never see the light of day again. Sorry...but that's the truth. For example, I know plenty of people who are mixed with Asian and white. If you walked past them, you would only see an Asian person.
