@untriedhunter I actualy think that the japanese is better although his english is pretty bad, but it's part of the whole thing imo, i mean he is only like 15 (if might be wrong with some year thou) and doesenät have a computer, there for he haven't used the internet to much and only learned the english he learned in school.

@adrianGGO its not the engrish that is the problem...its the actual singing. the actor had a lot of trouble controlling his breathing and holding notes and you add to the fact he has a strong accent, the quality of singing is not going to be as high. Beat Crusaders (the band that wrote most of the songs for the show) sing a lot of songs in engrish but you don't hear the struggle as you do with japanese koyuki. the point is the singing not the engrish is problem.

If he had been singing in Japanese that MIGHT have been a different story. In Greg Ayres' voice he sounds better and more coherent. And don't give me that nonsense about anime having to be in Japanese. You know not every anime takes place in Japan. Having the characters speak Japanese in those takes away authenticity.

@OniLordMiki in my opinion this version has more emotion in it, in the dub version is like: "since you never could catch me...*sighs* find you weeping in darkness". sounds like the dub guy is SO bored! Besides, japanese ppl got their seiyuu picked in acordance to the character personality. unlike when they dub in other language. For me if its dubbed it loses part of the characters personality right there.
