@JcmJanah no, pirates of the carribean. its one of their only pg 13 movies. theres a part when orlando i believe says "barbossa you 'b*stard!!" i remember because i played it back like three times to make sure i was hearing what i was hearing lol did you know "the proposal" is under Disney? at the end of the credits a mickey mouse appears along with the logo. its just something they wouldnt advertise on disney channel*

hehe!! so funny americans!!! win once - it doesn't means that you are good as USSR in hockey. why they didn't win again and again??? because that win was a blind luck and little accident... and USSR team was really great, because win many times, in different years and with different teams...

why americans never do films about some teams defeated them??? it would be more real...

@shaoduoduo uuh....USSR is no more buddy...it's Russia. Second, Americans love movies like these because it brings out the pride of being an american and hockey fan if you are. Sure Russia were extremely good at hockey back in the days, but now, they weren't even able to get bronze in this year's olympics while USA got silver.

I have nothing but respect for the Russian people but sports is a feel good thing here and that was a time when America was on it's ass and needed a shot in the arm. Lake Placid was it. This was just a hockey movie. You should see how many Football movies there are and we play each other in them. Peace.

@shaoduoduo Just like the Soviets did when they were the "Soviets". Gold in the Olympic was expected every 4 years. The 80 gold was a fluke, everyone should know that but it's such a good story that it had to happen in real life, cause you cant write a script like that. Too bad Herb Brooks died just before the release of this movie.

@wvufanngarner they did a made for TV movie in 1981 called MIRACLE ON ICE....it was waaay better than this one....it had tons of real game TV footage....and a better story.....this was good, but i think the 1981 movie was better...check it out if u get the chance.
