Very interesting to see how this can be done so simply, and I think it is valuable to keep such knowledge alive. I once made some pack saddles for a couple of donkeys, based on crossbuck wooden frames, and eventually got them to work, but this looks a lot more simple to make than what I did. As you say, probably a little heavier, less efficient, than fancier saddles, but effective and easier to make. I like it. Thanks for taking the time to put it up. Arthur
