  • my Mum fav Christmas songs..she passed away..but the songs always remind me of her..

  • I remember listening to this on the old reel-to-reel. They sold tapes as well as records back when I was small.

  • Great holiday music and beautiful memories. Thank you.

  • When Christmas time was great. Now way to commercialized today. It's all about the all mighty $ with alot of people.

  • My mom used to play this on cassette for me when we'd decorate the tree...circa 1980's/90's...I'm not a big fan of Christmas music now, but the Ray Conniff singers have such

a great sound. Good memories :)

  • Thanks for posting this, I had tried for a while trying to remember who sung this medley. Great songs. Growing up in a multigenerational household I heard this a lot as a kid.

  • Ray had it going on.

  • White people!

  • What is Dr. McKoy from Star Trek doing in this video.

  • Remake? 8D

  • ray coniff's christmas songs are the best! my mom had this on tapes and used to play this when i was very young then. It feels wonderful hearing these songs again but misses my mom even more.

  • @914egon with u on that ,been listening to this album for 40 yrs now and recently bought it on amazon for a fiver and so far played it 30 times this december already and there is still 2 weeks to go til xmas, sorry to hear about the loss of ur mum tho its hard at this time of yr....merry xmas and remember its not xmas until conniff says so

  • @poppybea11 thanks! Merry christmas!!!

  • I need to listen to this song every Christmas. When I hear it, it's officially Christmas for me.

  • I was born in 1985, but I wish I was born in the 1920's so I could've grown up in a much better time, and raised a family during this wholesome, positive era.

Shame our world has turned upside down.

  • I reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy love this song!!! ♥o♥ Christmas season for me is the best season of the year my most awaited event also!!! not because of the gifts/presents from my relatives but because of the joy i see from the people everywhere you can see those children visiting there godparents and for me Christmas here in the Philippines is the best ^_^

  • Simplesmente lindo...é o espírito de Natal em todos...!!

  • beautiful,

  • Classic!

  • Conniff

  • And it has a high percentage of purchase in I tunes for the christmas album.

  • One of the best classic xmas songs.

  • I love the Ray Conniff singers! We do need more of this

  • love it! great for seasons to come!

  • This was Christmas to me. Loved listening to this album that my dad played on his stereo. Merry Christmas everyone.

  • I love this album and yes im 35!. My dad has these on vinyl and put them on a Boots C60 cassette with an orange label and it was always a must at christmas; actually he did try playing it in June!

My dad isnt here anymore but the cassette is and it lives on as i now have the CD's to remember him by.

  • !!!!!!!!!!!! MARAVILLOSA MUSICA SIEMPRE ESTARAS EN NUESTROS CORAZONES HASTA SIEMPRE RAY CONNIFF

  • this is the classic christmas music we open our gifts to on christmas morning in my family's house. christmas wouldn't be the same without these songs.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG SOOOOOO MUCH. I RUB'D MY STOMACH TO THIS SONG WEN I WAS PREGNANT WITH MY BABY. TIL THIS DAY SHE'S 5 & LOVES IT LIKE I DO. IT SOOTHES OUR HEART, MIND, & SOUL. THANX FOR MAKING SUCH A WONDERFUL SONG.

  • I crew up listening to Ray Conniff and his singers Christmas albums during the early 70s. We would decorate the house and Christmas tree while listening to his music. My fondest memories would be getting in my pajamas after a bath and roasting marshmallows with my sisters while his music was being played. As much as I enjoys todays artists and their versions of Christmas songs nothing will ever replace Ray Conniff's Christmas music. Thank you for the memories.

  • Speaking on behalf of the younger generations, I feel so cheated! The Ray Coniff Singers, Bing Crosby, Johnny Mathis have been replaced with....well ...

  • nostalgia

  • awesome!

  • lupet!

  • Ray Conniff's christmas albums were the pinnacle of christmas music in my home growing up. We would listen to these while we opened our gifts, the most special time of life for a child at christmas. what fond memories these songs bring to me..Christmas is the best time of year and the best time of our lives. I will play these songs for my daughters as my parents did for me on Christmas morning hopefully to bring the same kind of feelings for them that I have.

  • Love to hear this, also during summertime !!

  • Ray Conniff and his singers made the best Christmas albums ever - no question!!

  • bought album for christmas 1967 to go visit my lonesome (divorced) dad in Albuquerque NM. We ended up singing 'count our blessings' every yuletide eve for years. And my wife and kids ever since. Thanx for the memories, Ray Coniff and Singers.

  • This really brings me back to the 60"s when things were so good and no rap music and cellphones, get the picture?

  • Lots of great memories from my childhood, thanks!

  • Love these guys although i never heard them when I was growing up...

    Just wow!

  • For those of you who have such a problem with Ray's music and the memories it evokes of better years, perhaps you ought to check out the disparity between "likes" and "dislikes". A vocal minority indeed.

  • @ApacheGrunt26 Most of the folks who dislike easy listening can't be bothered to visit here and say they hate it. I am representing the millions who refuse to have Christmas or music defined by bland muzak. Happy Christmas to all!

  • This too DEFINES Christmas for me. It is wonderful music that speaks to the best things of the Christmas season. I grew up on Conniff's Christmas music. I loved the Gilbert Godfriend sounding man yelling "GIIIRRLLS, I'M UNDER THE MISTLETOE!" Thanks for posting this and ignore the rubes who want to crap on good things.

  • Nothing gets me in the Christmas spirit like some Ray Conniff. I listen to this every year. Thanks for posting !

  • I feel like i'm still a young child listening to these songs on our record player decades ago....

  • Thanks Ray for your lovely music and the trip down memory lane. And I wish everybody of all colour and gender a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

  • This anticonnif fellow sounds like real IMBECILE....

  • 2:19 CHIMES SOLO

  • classic christmas songs by ray conniff,

  • Wow-- how did such a negative discussion occur out of such beautiful music?

As it is- thank you so much for posting this! I love hearing the Ray Conniff singers at Christmas time. I'm very nostalgic about them, as my mom used to play their records every christmas season. And really--- theres nothing wrong with enjoying a little bit of music without turning it into a political and social discussion! wow.

  • @AntiConniff I'm not so sure you do..RC lived near me in the mid 70s...he was sent home from our golf club for wearing blue jeans to the club one day in 1975..of course this is no indication of "which side he was on" but then the kind of music he did doesn't necessarily indicate that either..the fact is the civil rights years, for all they gained, did so at great cost to the morale, strength, work ethic, and self image of this country..we haven't recovered yet and may never do so..

  • @AntiConniff Yes..he put Christmas Carols to a rock and roll beat in the early 60s... pretty heady at the time... considering he was hired by Mitch Miller, who disliked rock..but the easy listening arrangements were very popular back then too..Lawrence Welk hit #1 with Calcutta in '61..Percy Faith the same with "A Summer Place" in '59...Andy Williams had several top 10 hits..people's tastes were more into socializing and relaxing instead of isolationist competitive raging like they are now..

  • It's interesting that during the bepop years when jazz was going through profound changes and becoming an art form rather than mass entertainment, Conniff dropped out of arranging and started studying advertising jingles in an attempt to find a formula that would sell music to the unrefined masses.

  • I dunno....I'm willing to bet this group got all got nekkid and in a pile after this taping!!!!

  • The "Count Your Blessings" part is so freaking beautiful. It really makes me yearn for the way Christmas made me feel when I was younger, and I'm only 25, so that's not that long ago.

Why can't America be like this anymore? I was born 60 years too late. I should have grown up in the first part of this century. I feel so out of place in this screwed up culture we live in now.

  • @Supermassively America became beautiful and multicultural, not bland and white bread. It embraced diversity, which Conniff certainly did not. Check out the Conniff performance at the Nixon White House (just Google "Nixon, Ray Conniff incident") to get an idea of what was happening in the country while Conniff peddled his bland muzak: war: bombing; civil rights - all of which Conniff ignored.

  • @AntiConniff There is nothing beautiful about multiculturalism. Clearly you are part of the problem.

  • @Supermassively Well, your comments say it all. You yearn for the return of the Conniff heyday, when America, like today, was at war, but women, black people, and gays had much less of say than today. Fortunately, times have changed. There is nothing beautiful about white bread America and the illusion that all is well below a bland, muzak surface.

  • @AntiConniff I yearn for the days when regressive Leftists like you didn't pull the Minority Card and make race, gender, and creed such a big deal. Civil Rights leaders would be so ashamed of people like you.

  • @Supermassively What makes you think I'm a lefty? I guess you love Mr. Conniff because he turned a blind eye to the world around him, rearranged other people's music, then got it piped into supermarkets and on easy listening channels. Welcome to the Land of The Bland!

  • @AntiConniff The heyday of Conniff, Welk, Mitch Miller etc. may have been "white bread" but it was also when America was the pillar of strength in the world...jobs plentiful, industry strong, standard of living ever-increasing (for ALL), and a promising future...today none of that exists...every social advancement has resulted in as many problems as solutions, advancements have brought bad side effects...times have changed alright...like Newton's 2nd Law...each reaction=an opposing rxn...

  • @luxaurum I agree with what you say. People love Conniff today for all sorts of nostalgic reasons. It harks back to a time of American strength, just as you describe.

  • Love this. Thank you for posting!

  • delightful :-)

  • Great music ....will get this from iTunes as gift to myself

  • Now this WAS America....What happened?

  • @pcimmino The Liberals happened. :(

  • @pcimmino

The three people who disliked this video took over, that's what.

  • @pcimmino This was the America I remember, growing up in the 60's, Christmas was what you see in this video, no shootings, no crime, and respect for teachers. We all know what happened but is it politically correct to say it....

  • @pcimmino ...Liberalism took hold. God Help Us...

  • @pcimmino We became greedy and selfish.

  • @rrbond07 I do agree with you however you left out lazy

  • @pcimmino No, this was gay. America has turned for the better now.

  • @willabema Go AWAY...Why are you here????JackASS LOSER!!!!

  • @mattdaddyful Just pointing out that America is great now and this is gay/happy time. :^D

  • @willabema You poor, lost soul.

  • @IwshIcldstrtover Thank you. :)

  • @IwshIcldstrtover At least I'm not gay.

  • @willabema, Perhaps not, but you are obviously very miserable.

  • @IwshIcldstrtover Misery loves company. Come and join me.

  • @pcimmino I know Right?!?!?I grew up to this Album...It's MAGIC!!!

  • @mattdaddyful It's gay/happy :^)

  • Richard Nixon, who liked Conniff's music, summed it up best. He said Ray Conniff was the Readers' Digest of music, i.e. you take away all the things that make a piece of music unique and turn it into something bland like a Big Mac so that it appeals to a huge audience with no taste.

  • @AntiConniff People like you make a hobby out of posting negative comments about things because it's not enough you don't like whatever it is you're hating on that you have to let other people know. There are plenty of entertainers/singers I don't like, but I don't waste my time seeking out their youtube clips and posting negative remarks. Get a life why don't you.

  • @skateboardgumby It's called the free flow of information and opinion. I am not preventing you from enjoying the music. I am not forcing you to read the comments. You say I am wasting my time, but these comments take a few minutes out of my week, that's all. It is very odd that people get so angry about criticism. Conniff "WAS America" wrote pcimmino. That's true. Thank God it changed and Conniff fell from favor.

  • BEWARE READERS: blizzardman59 and AntiConniff is trolling the Conniff videos, with the sole purpose of insulting and denigrating Joseph Raymond Conniff and his music. He is both rude and distasteful....and loves the attention. You are advised to ignore the troll.

  • Hajune, I have to disagree. This is not art, it's commercial, anti-art. The jazz greats, Davis, Coltrane, Parker, are artists. Conniff sucked the air and blood out of music and made it as bland as a Big Mac.

  • I wish I could find Count Your Blessings sung alone by them...

    Love it, thanks for sharing!

  • @blizzardman59 how can you say they are bad? my parents played this all the time as a kid, i still listen to it as an adult because its great. Music isnt always about the notes and melody, music brings out an emotion whether it be good or bad that people are attracted to. ray conniff christmas music puts me into a emotional state of happiness that i enjoy. thats what i call good music.

  • @blizzardman59 You are a troubled soul. Hope you get out of it. Ray Conniff was a genious. He sold more then 100 million records and trained under the great Artie Shaw who was the father of modern orchestration. To combine these songs together as he did is truly a feat. It will be listened for 100 years and behind. Why? Because its a great art form and pleasantly melodious.. Others have tried to follow Conniff's style but have failed. Hope you get over your childhood problems.

  • @blizzardman59 you can bury yourself in blizzard fool@#$%

  • @susanabarquez You confirmed what many of us have long believed, that Ray Conniff's "music" and torture go hand in hand.

  • @AntiConniff Then why in the world do you even bother wasting your time hating on Ray? There are plenty of singers I don't like, but I don't feel compelled to seek out their videos and make negative comments. I guess it's not enough you hate Ray, that you have to let others know. Get a life, why don't you.

  • @blizzardman59 you deserved to be tortured fool, bury yourself in blizzard of garbage

  • @blizzardman59 Then why did you click on the link if you hate it so much? Please stay away, and allow those of us who love this music, enjoy it without your insipid comments.

  • @IwshIcldstrtover here fucking here great album anytime of the yr

  • i never knew what they looked like! my parents played this and all their christmas albums for years! and now so do i! thanks for sharing!

  • This is my all time favorite, especially the Count Your Blessings part. Reminds me of going to sleep waiting for Santa Claus when I was a kid.

  • These Christmas songs and carols are the best for me although I loved the Carpenters Christmas album too.

  • I LOVE THIS SOOOO MUCH...THIS ALBUM BRINGS UP SO MANY GOOD CHILDHOOD CHRISTMAS MEMORIES !!!

  • Warmth all the way when you listen to his music in a time that things were so different. Now they all say, one sould not look back but look towards the future, well for the good things and good music and that way of live back then I rather look back, thanks Mr. Thoenicke and Ray for the memories.

  • This is my favorite Christmas album of all time, and brings back so many wonderful memories with my family. My parents bought this on vinyl when I was two, and I instantly fell in love with it, and it became tradition that we played this while decorating the tree.

    Thanks for uploading!

  • @MsHappyCrack It was the same overhere !! Lovely song !! ( form belgium)

  • This song brings back precious memories of yesteryears. Thank you for posting it.

  • I want to go back to these days it was when Christmas was real for me as a kid .

  • One of the most beautiful holiday albums EVER MADE!!! I used to listen to this every Christmas during my childhood, and was lucky enough to find a CD of these songs last year, and am playing it this very moment.

  • Thanks for the person who posted this video cause I have heard Conniffs x'mas songs many times but I don't actually know what the singers look like cause I was too young or not born yet when this video came out and it's nice to see the group behind the fantastic vocals.I'd would love to meet some of these singers and shake their hands for those who are still around.

  • This is awesome! What a wonderful era to celebrate Christmas! I was born too late! Glad I can enjoy this beautiful music in 2010! Thanks for sharing!

  • Lucky PETA was not yet around when this video was shot 'coz if it was, Ray Conniff will be at the receiving end of Ingrid Newkirk and her posse's animal rights hate. Why? Dead Bear Carpet.

  • I love thesee oldie songs. They dont make tv programs like this anymore

  • You can download the audio-mp3 of this vid at grabyourmp3 doht cohm.

  • I wish I had a house like that!

  • Merry Christmas to one and all!!!! May the love of Jesus shine upon us all!

  • i really love ray conniffs christmas album!

  • Definitely the "tree decorating music" of my childhood. I agree it is the day before Thanksgiving and time to hear this song. My bankroll may be getting small, but I'll always have the Ray Conniff singers and their Christmas music.

  • Well it's the day before Thanksgiving 2010, so I think it's time for some Conniff Christmas Music to start this season off, sound good?

  • Ray Conniff songs takes me back in time. I use to play this in our turn table. We had a vinyl record of this album.

  • This takes me back to all the Christmases when I was a little boy and played these albums of Ray Conniff's over and over. I just did a little investigating and you can find 4 of his best Holiday albums on Amazon.com! Thanks for posting this, I never saw the Christmas show here in this video. I was only 5 when it aired so I may have seen or not. I am glad that I found the CD versions of these on Amazon.com!

  • It's white, wholesome people having 'fun'

    i love this song

  • Is Christmas coming soon? Just in case I thought I'd watch this. It sure does raise my spirits. Merry Christmas everybody in February.

  • This is so beautiful, I wish I could've seen this when it first came out, but this is just as good. No Christmas is complete without the beautiful sounds of the Conniff Singers!

  • Ditto. Ray Conniff and Johnny Mathis have done more for the spirit of CHRISTmas than any othe musicians in the last 50 years. I listen to this in July.

  • How did you EVER come across such a gem as this video? I would love to own this on DVD as these are the songs I remember from my childhood like so many of the other posters. These are the tree decorating ablums for us and even from year to year, I have the song order memorized and can start the next song before it even begins. This music IS CHRISTMAS to me and my family. It brings back so many happy memories for me. I have over 100 Christmas albums but Conniff 's are my most cherished.

  • @docnabox2000 what a lovely family you have... this is also our family's official Christmas album, I mean we always play this... :)

  • @docnabox2000 This was when Christmas was real for me as a kid . it was so much fun . how Id like to go back to these old days and listen to thid music

  • @docnabox2000 DITTO!!

  • dodgeblugreg: thank you, HAPPY AND BLESSED NEW YEAR, see you next Christmas.

  • For me, this RayConiff x'mas album is the BEST of all x'mas songs, my x'mas is incomplete without RC x'mas album, as along as I live, x'mas songs of the Ray Coniff will always be a part of my life. (when the dictator Marcos of the philippines, was toppled down in February 1986, Ray Coniff songs were played in the radio, and what a great, exceptional christmas celebration that was)

  • Thank you. Ray Coniff made some of the most beautiful music and his 2 Christmas albums capture the true spirit of Christmas better than most. Happy New Year to you and yours and may you all be blessed.

  • and after Marcos, life became more miserable in the Philippines. It was a lot better during the Marcos regime.
