traxxas lipos are great why not stay with them when u guys use traxxas models =) 2200mah 7.4v 25c and 11.1v 1400mah 25c fits great in 1/16's if not 6800mah's+ they even have a 12800mah 7.4v lipo..! fit good in anything else. 25c continual and 50C Burst. i had them for a few they are great!never did i pull them out of my car and they where hot.and they in the range of 30-50$ very decent

Its not that bad i mean you just need a new receiver+wires, chasse, body, battery hold down and maybe a few wires. It could have been worse, atleast it didn't burn the ESC then it would have really sucked.

i feel ya man. although mine didnt burn up my truck, the battery just flat died and maxamps refused to replace it cuz even tho it was still in warranty they claimed that that model of lipo JUST went out of production and they couldnt warranty replace it. so while you got a battery replaced but lost your truck, i just lost my battery which was worth as much as the truck & 3/4 of the electronics.

If I might make a suggestion. It's generally in all warranties not responsible for incidental damages. HOWEVER some states have laws against this. Almost NO company will ever tell you which states these are. Check your state laws, if your state law says they must replace the truck, then bring it up and they will. If they refuse after state law says so, turn them in. Pretty standard company response though. Statute of limitations could be very long too, so check it out.

There is no such thing as a "mamba max monster" your getting two kits mixed up here. There is a mamba monster kit, and a mamba max kit, the mamba max kit is 7700 KV, and the monster kit is 2200 KV witch can handle way more power 25.4v to be exact, and 6s as well

Their best series is the VX series, these batteries can be continiously discharged at 35c aka 35 times the mAh capacity, and best of all they can safely be charged at 5c giving you a fully charged pack in less than 15 minutes! thats insane for lipos.

You should buy a high quality expensive lipo charger if you want to prevent this and be carefull never to short circuit the batteries

you bought a whole new truck? most of ti was fine. It looked like you only needed a new chassis and a new reciever that could be as little as $30. Unless internally your esc was fried. but you could still send it to Traxxas for only forty. I don't think you had to buy a new one, and if you already did, now you could revive this one and have two.

I've been thinking about taking the plunge but Lion/Lipo are simply not worth the risk. The power and capacity are awesome, but if I have to be vigilant every time I hook one of these things up for charging then they are not worth the hassle. I'll wait until they worked the bugs out.

Lipo is not for beginners. Scary batteries, efficient but scary. I run a Lipo RX pack in my RC8T and after 3 months it hasnt failed. Thank god. If it does Id hate to see what $3000 looks like on fire with 30% trophy blend only a few inches away. BOOM! My condolences dude tough break
