hello well you dont know how to fix it thats why its to slow i had the same problem install window 7 and se what happens my friend dont ever say that sony is shit its that u dont understand in computer have a nice day...........
Two words for Sonys tiny Atom laptop: SUPER SLOW. Unfortunately I got stuck with one. It may be convenient, but it is incredibly sluggish. Shame on Sony.
I've got the P90 with the 1.86 Ghz Atom Z processor and the 64GB SSD. This computer is simply amazing. It is expensive but who cares when you can fit this thing in your pocket!
@drumzstix666 I don't know your problem about Acer, but I use the Acer Aspire 7530 now since 3 years without any problems, except the problem that it runs Windows, there is non. ^_^ I had a Sony / Vaio before, and Sony is pretty much the best equivalent to Apple. Well it is better then Apple. ^_^ I never had problems with my Acer, but I will not buy another Acer again :) thats for sure.
I think they should have improved the performance of those VAIO VGN-UX180P though. more ram an all , plus the design was somehow not gender specific. I am not feeling the design of this one and why does the portable'color always matches the furnitures of the diverse surroundings?are they trying to market this one to women or what.
Oh the the Acer One is a good deal at £200 ($300 USD).
But what done it in for me was the screen resolution of 1024x600. A lot of the applications I use where unusable on it, because they got truncated, OK buttons chopped off the bottom of the screen, or layouts where too cramped and unusable.
So I needed a small 'netbook' which offered a much higher screen resolution. The Vaio was the only machine which offered the required 768 minimum pixels vertical resolution for what I need.
Well the CPU is Intel Atom, but that's the only major similarity.
For a start the Vaio screen has a much higher resolution than the Acer at 1600x768 (which is higher than my 15 inch laptop). The Vaio is pocket sized and much lighter than the Acer. Plus IMO the build quality is significantly higher. Then there is Bluetooth, GPS and 3G built in. Battery life on the Vaio is over 3 hours, it's about 90 mins with the Acer.
True there is a price premium with the Vaio, but then that's typical Sony.
around 1.45 what' s the meanin' of it? That the consierge was tellin' to the girl to leave her "bag" from the table and she said "is not a bag" ? Or what?? Someone know??
The point is the concierge mistook it for a bag (which emphasizes the small size) and then she says "No, that's fine" as in the laptop has "meaning". It's a necessity to her. It''s weird but makes sense.
Very nice, most portable laptop I have ever seen and I am a proud owner of an MSI Wind. Still Wind is better than this in all aspects (except the simcard slot) and also cheaper. But if I had extra money I would definetly buy this device.
Anyways.. Even though this is only 1.33GHz and my netbook is 1.60 GHz, I should of gotten the 'LifeStyle PC' The Sony Vaio P-Series isn't even known as a NetBook, its the LifeStyle PC lol..
Also, it has Vista, I dont like vista that much but still.. Its so small! I think ima get it later xD
those people need to get a life. If my wife/girlfriend pulled out a laptop while we were dining at a fancy restaurant with white tablecloths and 12-inch goblets I would walk out.
your an idiot, what difference does it make when someone pulls out a "smartphone" or "iphone". its the same thing your dingbat
also the commercial is trying to emphasize that this unit is based on portability and anywhere you go your connected to the net, gps, bluetooth, video calling, all that.
For the benefit of everyone. There was a new Intel
GMA 500 driver released a couple of weeks ago. Aero works just fine on the Vaio P now. Although full screen video playback performance is better with Aero turned off.
I've got the Vaio P with the highest specs meaning 1.86GHZ processor and etc. Performance with Aero is great.. Would you mind providing a direct link to the new GMA500 drivers?

If the Vaio P was a bit cheaper, I would buy it no questions asked. $900 is too steep for a "netbook".
