If you think science takes away the wonder from life, read Unweaving the Rainbow by Richard Dawkins. If anything is magical in the world, it is science. Magic, in any sense that is meaningful, is not lazy. Magic, in my opinion is the feeling conjured up when you see something beautiful at work. All of the complexity behind it only makes it even more wonderful, in my opinion. Just because something can be explained logically doesn't mean it becomes dull or mundane. This song endorses lazy magic.
