  • My Dad and Mom are shown at the end of this Clip! Col. Robt J Philpott was my father. I remember riding out that storm in the closet with water up past our knees. The roof tore off around 2am and my Mother was almost killed by a falling beam from the Catholic Church mentioned in the Clip. It blew into our house. I was with my Dad when he drove Ralph Renick, the Reporter for WTVJ, and Bishop Carrol around Marathon the next day. These pictures are real and I remember those scenes. - Dick Philpott

  • This was happening at the time I was born. I was born at Broward General in Fort Lauderdale and my mother seems to remember it quite well.

  • Wow... I really had no idea that there were so many local specials were produced on Donna... and so quickly after the storm moved through. Between 0:49 and 1:07 it looks like Ralph Renick is pretty handy with a marker and tracking chart...lol
