Hmm, so people drive around in cars, and naturally propelled deer get in our way and artificially propelled humans crash into them? So it is obviously the fault of the deer? damn them for their lack of evolution!!
I was walking along a path beside the creek on my property when a bombie jumped out of the tall weeds and smashed into my chest, knocking me into a wild rose bush. I was bruised and my t-shirt was ripped to shreds, but I was otherwise unhurt. So there.
I was born and raised in Canada. I live around and interact with wildlife every day, BUT for my best wildlife story I had to go all the way to Brasil! I was walking in a public park, approaching a bench where my mother in law was sitting, when out of the trees came a flying mango! It almost scared her to death, missed her by only inches and smashed on the ground! I looked up where it came from and there was a monkey sitting there looking very pleased with himself! It was very hard to not laugh.
when you said "shot" i thought you meant with a gun!! at first I was like omg, she's out shooting deer...that's probably because I'm from Chicago and whenever I hear the word shot...it's never about "camera shots".
I only went hunting one time with my Dad. He made me shoot a rabbit with a .22 cal. rifle. Sorry, that was the last time I went for the next 40 years. Not that I don't eat meat a couple times a week but it is very tuff to kill something alive unless it is trying to kill you. He did have a good rule - if you kill it, you had to eat it, One time he shot a ground hog - one bit is all I could take. ugh
What's the problem? Deer is good food. I hit a deer with my truck and the deer turned out ok. He did more damage to my truck than I did to him, or at least I think I did.
Plus aren't car accidents automobile related injuries and deaths and not whatever runs, bounces, or rolls into the road? Val is so cute and always interesting, thanks!
When she said "which animal kills the most humans?", I guessed HUMANs lol. Technically we are animals and do kill eachother much more than other animals hurt or kill us. Did anyone else think she was going to say that? Humans first, road kill maybe second.
In my back yard the record I counted was 22 deer! (bambies) I shot them with my airsoft gun to keep them away from our garde. (don't worry no deer were hurt)

The most curious it's from 3 years to now... a nightingale, or a family. Every night, from April, around 04:00 at night, they start singing. It's awesome.
But what it's weird is that it happens inside the town where there aren't places to feed from...
amazing you were so close. I shot some deer last week and posted it on my scenicvideos channel. I was probably 100 yards away, and they were very skeptical of me being even that close. fun stuff here :)

i saw a 5 paranas eat a live pig in my neighbors swimming pool..i did it while they were out of town..and of course i cleaned the pool b4 they got back...lol
And deer and I stared at each other for about 30 seconds one time on the Silver Comet Trail here in Georgia. I wasn't worried at all, but it was just an interesting moment...
Never been attacked by a deer, however when I was a kid I was mountain biking with family out in Virginia and a deer came up to us as the group took a break under an apple tree, let us feed it and pet it.
I still have no explanation for it, other than Rabies, and it wasn't acting strange, just desensitized to humans.
The cutest little spotted deer come up to our house up north to graze(we live in the woods, kinda), so I was really surprised when a deer the size of a large horse jumped in front of my SUV on my way thru Texas. I guess when they say everything's bigger in Texas, they are actually telling it how it is. IDK if I killed the giant deer because I screamed my head off continuously for another hundred miles. I was driving alone & it was my worst nightmare except 4 when a bird flew into my car...
Haha. Omg. I watched 1:01 - 1:04 like 50 times. You're so cute. And.... I haven't really had any. =( Although. One day, I was driving to a town close to me, and I saw a fox cross the road - I've only seen a fox like once in my life. Then, my mom and I were driving back to the same town later that day, and saw it crossed the same road [in the same spot] again! So I got to see it twice, and then my mom got to see it. It was so cool!
were i live in Houston Texas i always find armadillos and possums in my back yard and my dogs are always barking that them but the animals dont do anything they just keep doing what they do best which is snoop around lookin for food. wish you had a longer video...i waited all week for your vid hahaha i love them there so funny and i love to see your work it inspires me to draw... i always find myself drawing after i see your vids haha.
In the words of Barney Gumble (The Simpsons) shooting a deer is like "shooting a beautiful man".
My wildlife adventures involve various altercations with squirrels (aka tree rats). One of them made a nest in the engine compartment of my van. Another one is nesting in a watering can I left out on my balcony over winter (we give each other the "evil eye" at least once a day).
I had a possom that I discovered sitting in the window seat of my kitchen one morning. I thought it as my cat sunning herself at first. will try to do a response vid fer ya.
I had a herd of 7 peacocks on my front patio last fall and they acted like they owned the place--POOPING everywhere!! A big blue male was standing on the roof of my car just staring at me. I think he wanted my leftover halloween candy.
One occasion is vague, but I remember another time that I almost ran over a deer on a highway in California. Gladly he just stood there slightly over half the road, and moved to the side of road after I passed it. For adventure, as you travel more, even if you don't want to, you end up in some interesting situations. One of the funnest things was swimming with a school of fish in tropical waters, where they moved with me in union; It was really cool.
I've seen tons of frogs, turtles, rabbits, squirls and deers. And a few possums, racoons, armadillos, foxes, eagles, hawks, falcons, doves, bluebirds, bluejays, mountain lions, a bear, coyotes, and I'm sure somethings I'm not thinking of. I've even seen a fox taking care of kittens which was really strange it was at my neighbors house.
All the animals I've seen are actually either at my house or my dad's property which is kinda rural but I never went out in the woods trying to find them.
One summer in the San Juan Islands of Washington State, there were a couple of young deer in the park. I picked some apples off a tree and cut them into slices and was able to hand feed the deer. After about 10 minutes of this I held a piece in my teeth and one of them was willing to come pull it from my mouth.
True story, growing up in the exurbs we once had a wild skunk get in the house. My brother came home in the middle of the night and saw him standing on an old radiator in a downstairs room trying to climb out the window above. My brother left the outside door open for him and he was gone by morning. We must've left a door open earlier in the evening.
Here in Queens I've seen raccoons, rabbits, frogs, and black squirrels.
Just an FYI. When you go hunting for deer, mainly in the springtime when their out and about, they are also "in heat" and that's why you have to be careful,if you get close, because they will hurt or kill you AND come after you chasing you down. They start to act like bulls. You probably got lucky the way that deer was acting and didn't ram your bike. Be careful Valerie. Love ya! MWUAH! <3
Here in the Sonoran desert, and w/ my being only 100 yds from a Nat'l Park, I have lots of animals. Cottontail rabbits trim and fertilize my little lawn, coyotes are around frequently, a bobcat or a tortoise once in a while, lizards and squirrels and doves and quail (already they have little ones!) are all over the place. Javelina (collared peccary) visit every evening. They're mostly timid, but can be aggressive. I always have to be aware not to "corner" one or get close to a little one.
they're at my house, my school, the church nextdoor as they hop around in the graveyard.... heh. so many bunnies! and we see deer around here every once and a while. :)
In our backyard theres a small forest we see deer, racoons, passoms, skunk, and sometimes we see coyote's which unfortunaly like kittens. I had a cat who tried to chase the deer away. We had a mother skunk who built a nest by our house and had babys.
I was climbing Bridal Viel falls in Utah and on the cliff was a mountin lion!, so i yelled "hey kitty kitty" and it just got up from sun bathing and hide somwhere so it could eat me when i climbed that way to get a closer look, it didn't eat me though
Little known fact... If a deer raises up to attack you with it's hooves - don't run away; you'll never outrun it & you'll get pommeled by the hooves. Instead, run into the deer aiming for where it's chest meets it's stomach and raise up with your shoulder when you get there. The deer will topple backwards & then run off in fear of your dominance. ^_^
3 rabbits were in my yard early EASTER morn...jumpin' round choppin on grass and other greens...then @ 12:17 a lone LARGE bunny was out side my widow....checking outthe greens.while 17 min late i still called it a easter miricle. 1 easter,4 bunnies
Mosquito's don't "cause" malaria, they just carry it. Technicaly speaking, the mosiquito doesn't do anything by it's own will, it just carries the virus. So in itself, mosquitos are harmless and the virus that causes malaria is lethal.
Sexually, I have not encountered any wild life. Nor have I encountered any bombies. But last week, I went to South Carolina last week and ate a "mud cake"! It had 3 kinds of chocolate in it, Chocolate ice cream and chocolate pudding! My mouth was having orgasms! I kept ordering it until I was sick! Absolute YUMMERS!
No deer, no having sex with wild animals, but LOTS of chocolate!
oo! Once I was staying at some distant relative's condo in Aspen, Colorado and the dumpsters were on the side of the building where my room window was like right by the window and I heard a banging noise outside and when I looked it was a Brown Bear getting into the trash! It was like 5 feet away! So cool though :)
Well I got overexcited with the game and decided to find a place I thought no one would find me: at the bottom of some trees in like a ditch type place. Um...well I'm sad (and at the same time laughing my head off) to say my hiding place worked. Nobody found me and I ended up waiting there for like two hours before going back and realizing the game had finished like ages ago. It was while I was waiting that I saw the skunk. It was a adventure for sure!
First time ever saw a skunk in the wild was this year, first week of my first year as a college student. I saw it from far off so I was ok and so was he. The actual story and funny part is how I got in the place where I saw him. It was at a party and we all decided to play this game called manhunt (hide and seek in the outdoors).
I see these ugly bags of water walking around everywhere. They are EVERYWHERE. They are the most dangerous things too. They get their stupid on everything and life fails. I think you know what I'm talking about.
"It is actually the Bambis"... not "sexually bambis"... That one threw me for a loop...
BUT TRUE! Whitetail kill more people than any other... So I don't feel bad when I load up my 12 bore muzzleloader and plug these bad boys right in the boiler room! Mmmmnnn good! Bambi Burger... or if you plug a little one... Bambi McMuffins! Yum yum... and good for you too!
When i was going for a walk up the road a few years ago, a baby black bear walked 5 feet if front of me, across the road and then its mother followed it. It was cute.
The first time I ever saw deer was in the parking lot of a company I worked for in 2001. It was in the middle of the night on a beautiful summer morning, around 3am, and I was taking the long walk to my car. I came face to face with some deer that really didn't appreciate me interrupting their mid-night snack :D Another time walking to my car I discovered I was between some fawns and their mommy. I slowly moved sideways keeping one eye on the mom until I could make a wide circle around them.
I was filming while riding today too. It's awkward I know... need one of those fixed cameras but they cost serious ££££s. I was busy looking at a receipt I found in my pocket and not fully concentrating on you - then at 1:00 you said "SEXUALLY" lol I know you really said "it's actually" but oh boy I like your accent... it's very "actual" I think. Where I used to live near Windsor Great Park, the deer can be very dangerous during rutting season. And at night they all have red eyes :-S
My Bambi experience , I was in the mountains coming around a huge blind turn in a tractor-trailer 18 wheeler's all of a sudden bambi was just almost halfway crossing the road and I had no choice but to keep going or my other option I could flip the trailer, bambi did some juke moves left to right , right to left and avoided me, bambi was very aggressive and fast. I think I POOP on myself.
The mall I work at is like a petting zoo. We got 9 cats, 5 or 6 rabbits, a bunch of squirrels, a flock of black birds in the morning, a road runner, and 3 coyote.
I like to buy dry roasted peanuts at the bulk food store and go walking in the wooded areas feeding squirrels. Many of them are pretty bold before and after winter, and the ones that have grown accustomed to our presence run right up to you like some street junkie :)
I was going to guess bees causing more deaths due to allergic reactions. Didn't consider the highway angle. I've actually played with wild deer when I used to work in the woods a lot. They got used to my presence in the area they favorited and would come by to hang out. Thanks for sharing your experience with them.
Yay, finally get to see your bike adventures :) That bambi at :36 for a moment looked like it was going to charge you. You still need to show clips of you escaping from those huge dogs that chase after you :P Unfortunately I don't have any wild life adventures though I did see some black sheep a couple weeks ago when I went to walk my friend's dog, that was it :(
Can't wait to see the painting your putting extra effort into.

Javelina (collared peccary) visit every evening. They're mostly timid, but can be aggressive. I always have to be aware not to "corner" one or get close to a little one.

We get deers around the backyard often
Zublime75 2 years ago
In our backyard theres a small forest we see deer, racoons, passoms, skunk, and sometimes we see coyote's which unfortunaly like kittens. I had a cat who tried to chase the deer away. We had a mother skunk who built a nest by our house and had babys.

I hope this is fake. Shooting animals without eating them is what savages and rednecks do.

By shoot, she probably meant that she was shooting them like taking a video of them.

The Deer is the deadliest animal? What about the mosquito? Malaria doesn't just happen all by itself!
grecomic 2 years ago

I love the Valcam! I almost hit a turkey this week. He flew right across the hwy in front of me. He was huge lol.
I live in kind of a rural area so you have to almost constantly be looking out for the deer running across the roads.
I still really like that painting.

The only wildlife I encounter on a regular basis are the animals that live in my walls. I don't know what they are but I always hear scurrying.

Happy Sunday Val,
I was going to guess bees causing more deaths due to allergic reactions.

Have a good Sunday Val :)
