  • im buying this! :) look for it on amazon Canon EOS Rebel T1i SLR Digital Camera Kit with 18-55mm Lens + SSE PRO Shooter Deluxe Carrying Case, Batteries, Lens, Flash & Tripod Complete Accessories Package FREE SHIPPING! :)

  • what music is on bg ?

  • Thinking about buying this camera. So you can adjust the focus while filming video? And what lense are you using or recommend buying for it?

  • @HanzoExecution I would highly recommend buying this camera, although the T3i was released recently which has a lot more options for shooting video more to your liking. You can adjust the focus if it is set to manual as well. Also, the lens really depends on what your shooting most often in photographs and videos. If you're shooting a bunch of wide angle shots then the standard 18-55mm should do, and with a bunch of zoomed in shots would be good with a 55-250mm lens. Good luck!

  • @iMagineThis1 Ended up buying the T2i... but bought the wrong SD card so cant record longer then 5 sec xD Doh! anyway, need some recording tips in order to capture stuff so amazing like you did!

  • i want this camera but on other videos the quality looks bad but here it looks amazing

  • @stereowintur it's all about having good lighting, keeping the ISO low, and having knowledge about editing/exporting without losing any quality. i might actually make a quick tutorial on ideal conditions when shooting video with a DSLR if people find it helpful

  • @iMagineThis1 thank you i would love that but i thoguht u couldnt control iso while shooting video on this camera

  • @stereowintur Technically, you cannot control the ISO directly and precisely on the T1i. BUT there is an option to "lock" a certain ISO. Of course this is not an ideal method because for the most part the camera will choose the lowest ISO possible anyway, but could still be very handy in some situations. For example, if your camera seems to be choosing an ISO around 800 but you would like a less noisy picture around 100/200, you can point your camera towards a light source and click the ISO

  • @iMagineThis1 okay thank you

  • @stereowintur button just behind the shutter button, and you will see it locks. You can unlock it by pressing it again as well. Like I said, this is not an ideal method, but it is an alternative nonetheless. :)

  • @iMagineThis1 Please make an tutorial how you export it in the best way without loosing quality ! please :)

i have the same cam and i have som problems :D

  • Thanks a lot! Thanks for responding so fast! Lastly, seriously. What file type does the camera provide? Ex., I have a Nikon D80 for photos. I simply plug to the comp, and transfer, and edit in Photoshop. I'l be using Vegas HD for the Ti that I'm hoping to get soon. Is the transfer simple, or many many conversion prior to actually editing? Or is it a common file like and mp4 or something?

  • did u use manual focus during the video ?

  • @adigo13 yep sure did!

  • @adigo13 How long does it take to upload this?

  • @CALICOTV301 this particular video took me about 10 minutes or so. all depends on file size and more importantly, internet upload speed. most ISPs give blazing fast DL speeds but not so quick upload. if I remember correctly this was about 250 mbs but I uploaded at school with a quick upload speed.

  • @iMagineThis1 Ahhh, perfect! Thanks, that was more help than you know. 10 minutes is great!

Lastly, was this transferred to your computer or so? I mean, how difficult is transferring? I hope not too much conversion or quality loss. Thanks again!

  • @CALICOTV301 yep! transferred to computer, put into Adobe Premiere to edit together the clips and add music, then exported in mp4 format (1080p). it's not difficult at all to transfer. just plug in the camera to the computer or stick memory stick into computer slot. open the folder and drag onto desktop. no quality loss whatsoever if you upload that file directly. you start losing quality when you put it into editing programs and compress to make smaller file. good luck!

  • @iMagineThis1 You're a genius! Thanks for all of your help! Great. Can't wait to grab this!

  • @CALICOTV301 this video DOES have just a slight quality loss from the original, but so minimal that you can't tell at all. hope that helped.

  • @iMagineThis1

    2 questions

    1. is this "soft focus" compatible

and is the EOS 500D different from any other model of the t1i? <3 Mr Medicated

  • @Fender337 Yes it should be soft focus compatible. I don't often experiment with this type of photography, BUT I know there are plenty of lenses that give off this effect that are also good for everyday shooting. It depends more on the lens than the body.

The 500D and T1i are the exact same body. The only difference is the region. The US tends to call it the T1i, and the rest of the world the 500D from what I've noticed. More of a catch phrase for marketing than anything.

    Hope I helped!

  • @iMagineThis1 yea that answered my question almost surgically

thanks a lot!! <3 Mr Medicated

  • AHHHHH sooo chrisp and clear!!!! just ordered my canon rebel t1i. cant wait to get it!!!!!!!

  • Hi, I just got a canon t1i and I just wanted to know how you uploaded the video onto the computer and what video program or software did you use to upload the video on to YouTube? Thanks

  • @deumic141 Hey, after you record any video on a T1i, it should be present on your memory card at the very bottom as an MOV file. You can copy this file and drag it anywhere onto your desktop or into a folder, where you feel comfortable with it. Then you need software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Sony Vegas to edit HD video (if you want text and/or transition effects or cutting video). Then you export, and click the upload button on YouTube :) Or straight from memory card to Upload on YouTube :)

  • veeeeery nice DOF video.. Thinking about getting this camera cuz of its video.. its the cheapest SLR i could find.. :P

  • Does this camera have a burst option?

  • @MrOctapusman i might be wrong, but it should be 3 shots in a second if that's what you're talking about. so yes it does have a burst mode :)

  • ohh, and how many MP 's ?

does 15.1 look as good as this?

  • @SuicideSue21 i'm not exactly sure what you mean. this camera is 15.1 MP so this is how it looks lol

if you mean the photo quality, then yes it looks just as good as this and actually a lot better. but that always depends off of the lens you choose to accompany it as well. hopefully i understood your question :)

  • @SuicideSue21

the MP's don't affect the video quality. they are only there to measure the quality of the photos :).

  • I really liked this, it just makes me want this camera even more! xD

    I just need the money):

But Thanks for the video! :D

  • how do you get it to change focal points?

  • @NeverShoutMadi u just leave the focus to manual and move the focus ring at the end of the camera :)

  • what does 1080p mean?

  • @henburger it's basically the best HD quality you can get. there are slight technical differences between 1080i and 1080p but i don't want to get into that lol 1080p means it has 1080 lines of progressive scan (the way a video is displayed.)

  • so what is the con of having only 20fps?

  • @lasagnadeliveryguy When you play a video of the same moving object at 30 FPS and 20 FPS, the 20 just looks a lot more choppy and pretty noticable next to a video with 30 FPS. When you play a video at 20 fps without looking at 30, it's not too bad but still not amazing.

  • how did you time lapse??

  • @Mellohello18 i used the included software that came with the camera, called "EOS Utility". you click on "camera settings/remote shooting" and you can make the camera take a picture as fast as every 5 seconds for however long you want.

  • how did you do the time lapse??

  • Are there upgrades to lenses and stuff on this camera? Can I auto focus/ zoom and put on an external mic?

    thanks

  • @Zingerphile yup, there are plenty of upgrades for any DSLR camera. it all depends on the style of shooting you prefer. lenses change pictures dramatically from one lens to another. you can autofocus while shooting video, but it does make an annoying noise. and to my knowledge, you cannot attach an external mic although there is a port for shutter release, mini usb, SD card slot, and an HDMI out which is awesome. hope that helped a little.

  • @iMagineThis1 - that really helps thank you!

  • @Zingerphile you can put an external mic with a mini usb to 3.5mm adapter

  • you pretty much just sold me on this camera..

    congrats.

  • @kidaok00 good to hear! i'll be posting some test videos of the rockies and wyoming sometime next week be sure to check it out.

  • superb clarity!

    a fine job done

    thanks for posting

    :D

  • @asasolsh1 thanks! coming around with some more of Chicago in the summertime in about 2 weeks.

  • wts the background music? its really lovely :)

and really lovely nature shots, goes well with the music, its an art piece.

  • @xjimmyleungx thank you very much!

the song is actually a free acoustic loop from freeplaymusic. i should have noted the artist that played the song, but i didn't think twice :( i actually download music from their database pretty often, very relaxing and useful!

  • @iMagineThis1 lol nice, is the camera anygood? because i might get one and nice recording of DEAD plants lol

  • @ILoveConsoles yes of course the camera is good. it was in the middle of winter time in chicago i didnt really have many bright colored live plants just chillin around outside lol

  • i just got the t1i and recently found out the t2i is coming out which suck, i hope some one can dump the firm ware form the t2i or make custom firm ware for t1i.

  • yeah i got it maybe 3 months ago, without any clue that a t2i was coming out. the only thing i am impressed with on the t2i that would come in handy for ME though is the 50fps (or 60 i dont remember). it might take a while to get a custom firmware actually working for a t1i, but lets pray!

  • t2i is coming xD

  • Nice what software did you use to edit ?

  • i used Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 on a mac. i've always had to compress the files because of my slow upload speed at home, but realized i could do it at school in about 3 minutes lol

  • @iMagineThis1 ok thanks

  • Great. Kit lens and 1080p xD

    20fps not bad on this

  • lol yeah i tried to not move the camera too much and record some very calm objects. i THINK this video is still processing right now, so the HD quality should be a lotttttt better in about a half hour or so. check it out then too!

(at least for me it doesnt give the HD option yet :( )
