Fraps is only receiving a pipe of information, and if that pipe were to experience some sort of exception that caused it to crash, the recording would be the only thing effected. All non-essential DirectX streams are read only. There is no way for Fraps to cause the game to crash or lag. You were wrong, it's okay to admit it.

yes. Some ships have insurance though that pays for alot of it but not all.

Yes, if you have a tech 2 ship you get almost no insurance also people can pvp with you in low sec and null sec whenever they want...they just start shooting you.

You can also get podded which means it is actually possible if you don't update your clone to lose all your Skill points... bassicly though unlike wow you can be good at pvp without having the most skillpoints...

doomsday device is the weapon you fit on a titan. It's like a huge smartbomb but can kill most sub-capitals in one shot, and can only fire 1 time pr hour.

Doomsday is around 70,000 damage for fully trained titan pilot, that's why a lot of the times alliances will attempt to double doomsday because single doomsday is not enough to kill battleships with full HP.
