@masterymatty It didnt vibrate there was a very loud thud when you would drop it in gear (lets say when you want to burn out) the entire carrier (the frame in the video) would rock back and forth due to the worn bushing and bang up against the bottom of the car like the floor pans. If you have a vibration and your over 110k miles check you wheel bearings, its really hard to say vibrations travel large distances, post a video or message me more info.
@masterymatty And the way I took out the bushings was I would heat up the centers until the rubber burnt out and i would knock out the centers, after which i would take a punch (you can use a screwdriver) and would hammer it between the housing and the outer ring of the bushing essentially caving it in towards the center, which decreases the bushings circumfrance which made it extremely easy to hammer out. Keep in mind that the bushings have grooves and you may forget which way they faced
@masterymatty Cont. and when reinstalling the new ones in its too late. The 4 main bushings that hold the carrier to the car are just round, but the front two bushings were the differential is bolted to the middle of the bushings were the bolt goes through is not round rather its an elongated oval i dont think its really crucial but just keep the orientation in mind when reinstalling the new ones. And lastly i did this job when the car had 95k miles on it. when i just bought it.
I love my 328i. Only mod is a Signature Motoring performance intake kit. They run around $170 and add up to 9HP in the E46 323/325/328 and up to 13.9HP in the 330. That's about $17/per extra HP... A good value for the extra oomph. General HP increases are shown:
