That radio is pretty cool. The pigs in the back of the truck with the music playing were like something out of a movie haha. Are you not buying the pick-up truck anymore then?
@dinkoman yeah, I decided that it'd be too big for the city, and the one I wanted apparently isn't allowed to be sold in Shenzhen, they only sell the diesel one here (and I hate diesel.. sounds like a big rig).
Sweet little bubble car! Perfect and cheap to fix with the bumps it will inevitably get, especially if Beer Girl prizes the keys from you!! (no offence BG - don't kick box my ass for that dig ;P) I love driving in crazy country's.....it's like a computer game trying to keep one step ahead of the nutters! I think the trick is to be more nutty than everyone else! Mordeth proves that most of the time! Have a good weekend Winston!
I was in Guangzhou during the summer. I was driving in the streets and notice one thing. They will just cut in front of you and almost force you off the road to get into your lane. No one signals too! Oh, i was driving a Chevy Cruze what a beautiful car 10x better than the North American model in my opinion. Forgot to mention on the highway buses pass you if you were not moving. Hehe
@scvs2 Yeah, driving in China in general is tricky, you always have to be prepared at all times because people don't know how to drive properly and always do unpredictable things, good thing I drove for many years in South Africa, that place is just as bad ;)
@frenchbullfrog it's a Riich M1 (Riich is the "luxury sub-brand of Chery") and it cost me with lots of negotiation etc complete with license plates and one year basic insurance etc etc 49000RMB which is 7,323USD +-
very cool, yeah id like to hear about the process of getting a licence there. i assume you have to have residence? not just like a work visa? hmm i dunno, i guess thats why im asking hahah.
@worldtravel101 There are always ways to get things done in China if you have enough money to do them, but yes, if you want to go the legit route like me, you'll have to have a valid license from your own country, then go write a 100 question test (need to get 90 right), and you'll need a resident permit (you get one if you have a proper work visa).
