I don't have one no, but I am saying that when you take Milsim as far as this you're not playing paintball, you're drilling people for combat in a paramilitary envoriment.
Is that a bad thing? Our unit has parachuting, combat diving, live fire tactics, green, black tactics courses led by active specops operators. We have a shitload of PT, drill, theoretical lectures on ballistics, terrorism, NBC safety and handling, lots of medicine right from CPR up to combat medicine, urban combat, sniping, scouting, observation courses. We appear alongside the military on official parades and we have a cooperation agreement with the ministry of defense.
So yes, we're pretty much in the paramilitary. But I ask you, is it a bad thing? We're people who have chosen a lot of different career paths. A lot of us have a military rank but didn't get contracts, some deliberately didn't get contracts because the pay is laughably shitty, especially since everything got scaled down with the crisis. Some want to go to the military but have to wait till they finish their studies. There are many reasons.

Its also sad to note that a lot of airsoft guns can shoot farther than paint ball guns.
And its the idea that counts. Do you think it counts when replica platers play ( I don't know the proper term. Excuse me there ) ? They shoot blanks. No one ever gets hit with anything, there are still ways for people to be out. Its the ideas that count. Plus compared to paint ball, you don't make a mess of the gear people spend money on.

Your very right and the the positive even has a negitive (if you spend money on your gear). when you get hit in paintball all your gear gets messed up with paint.
@DevastatedX Uhm. Yeah, Airsoft has batteries. (if you have a eletronic gun). You gotta wear masks too for Airsoft. What moron doesn't wear a mask with sports involving fast moving projectiles. They don't opereate only on C02. N2 and High Pressure Comrpessed Air are also usuable.

So simply put. Both sports are fun. If you hate cleaning then don't play it. Airguns and firearms themselves require maintenance and cleaning.

Well... whatever they wrote Berget5 was not a milsim (they aren't using the name anymore) but a big skirmish. And the buggies were player-owned. And the same buggies will be on RSR this year together with the Crazy Dutch :D

This will be *the* most realistic and intense military simulation experience to date, no doubt about it. Forget berget or your average weekend shoot-em-up. This is an experience you will probably remember for the rest of your life. I love the no-compromise attitude, the promo movies, the real-life military command structure - making you a soldier, not a player. This is as far as airsoft goes. I wouldn't say Airsoft means Paramilitary!
Paramilitary is aiming for certain ideological or political goals - airsoft is for having fun, keeping fit and have some action!
Also paramilitaric organisations have a strict hirarchy - i wouldn't say this is a common thing in airsoft.
So airsoft shouldn't be referred to as a paramilitaric sport.

Glasses work, to an extent.
Which is why shooting glasses have side guards.
(My statement may have come off wrong. I am NOT stating you are a moron.) What I meant was what kind of person does not wearing protection in general.
Glasses are finiky as I have seen shots bounce and get under / graze areas near the glass that come in at ugly angles.
