  • Hey! Have you thought about - fast abs magic (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? Ive heard some super things about it and my m8 got beautiful 6 pack abs and lost a truck load of of weight with it.

  • <3

  • I did the weight loss and ended up fatter each time. Now I'm bigger than ever, so I'm not dieting ever again!

  • @NancyToday I'm curious what methods you used. All I have been doing is eating right and working out... adapting it as a lifestyle. I've been quite successful doing it. No magic pills, no silly rules - just good common sense and getting my blood pumping.

  • I know that im watching this late lol but i also am on a weight loss journey and love horses. i plan on showin a llama this year lol. thnks

  • Hi, i am inspired by this video in so many ways... i my self am on my way to 15 very soon and sadly i weigh around 250... i to am very tall, almost 6 feet if not already there! =) i only have one horse and he is my pride and joy... he is a 15"2 paint gelding and his name is chance.. like me he to is a bit over weight...=) i would be very interested in e-mailing u...

  • You are my hero! I myself am overweight, and I feel very self concious about my riding, particularly since I ride a smaller Arabian/Quarter Horse gelding. I always get stares from smaller riders and it bugs me. You are very inspirational! (Yes, I know it's been a year since you posted this, but I just thought I'd tell you how inspired I feel.) :D

  • thank you...you make me feel good about myself, like i don't need to look like a stick to ride a horse or do the things i love to do so thank you very much:).

  • im a rider i have been for 8+ yrs and i am a fat girl i weigh 250+ lbs and this is very inspiring to a girl like me

  • dont let that girl give u crap for riding horse she is just being dumb and rude. the horse should definatly be full grown oviously but i understand what u are going through i am almost 200 pounds and i love horse riding and i am trying to lose weight. but you go places and people like her stare you down and make u feel bad but they dont care that at least you understand you should lose the weight for youand the horse and that you are trying. good luck!!

  • Sorry girl, but with your weight you shouldn't ride a horse. Horses are not made for carrying weight at all, so the least you can do is put as little weight on your mare as possible. First loose the weight, than get on a horse.

  • Horses are not made for carrying weight AT ALL? Then clearly, they should never have been used in medieval times carrying not only full grown men, but men wearing armour that weigh more than I did at the time of that video? I appreciate your concern for the welfare of horses, but consider the statement that you made...

SOME breeds of horse definitely are not designed for weight bearing - full drafts, for example, have long backs and weak loins - I think this may be a regional thing for you ..

  • As here, full grown men (200-250lbs) PLUS heavy western saddles regularly compete on small quarter horses in reining - performing very athletic maneuvers. You see it very frequently here.

  • @afatgirlafathorse just because you can see it frequently doesn't make it okay

  • @afatgirlafathorse Looking at the anatomy of a horse, nature didn't want weight on their backs - that's the way it is, wether you like it or not. Sure, horses have always been used for carrying weight that does not mean that they were made for that.

  • Perhaps they were not "made" for that, but have been selectively bred over the years to increase their ability to do so. By what you are saying, nobody should ride horses, regardless of weight... but I see videos on your channel of you riding. If they weren't designed to bear weight, they shouldn't bear any weight at all.

I respect your opinion but I disagree. There are many horses who bear weight on a regular basis that live full, productive, pain free lives.

  • @afatgirlafathorse no, I am not saying nobody should ride, I said that if you ride you should do so with as little weight as possible - meaning, normal weight, not overweight.

And I am very curious, WHERE do you see me riding? Sorry girl, I can't take you seriously...

  • You stated "Horses are not made for carrying weight at all" -- which implies that they should bear no weight on their back at all.

That's not you bouncing around on the very cute blonde pony on your channel? If not, my apologies.

I'm afraid I can't take you seriously, either! Have a nice day!

  • @afatgirlafathorse nope, that is not me, that is a friend of mine and my Haflinger - it was his first time under the saddle and as you can see, he did a hell of a job.

  • He did a good job for his first time under saddle - those typical draft sticky feet!

  • @afatgirlafathorse Thanks, but Haflinger are no draft horses

  • LOL I am quite aware but over here they are considered 'draft type' ponies.

  • @AgilityPup well, somebody should get some informations about Haflinger (btw: mine is not a Pony, he stands15hands)

  • @afatgirlafathorse kind of random but thats how i found not to be mean i looked up fat equestrians i'm so glad:)you are awesome^-^.

  • How are you supposed to hold a center of balance on the saddle?

  • Myself specifically or fat riders in general?

Weight and balance are not necessarily related. It is possible to have great balance when you are overweight and I know some skinny folk who have terrible balance. It is true that as your weight changes (whether by a gain or a loss), your center of balance changes and some may struggle.

Whether you are fat or skinny, if you are not riding effectively, a horse is likely and able to turn out from under you and dump you on your ass!

  • @ITubeUDecide I work with horses and sheep here on my family farm. We have 100 acres, and about 50 goats & sheep that we raise kids and lambs out of for a private meat market. The horses I keep around because I love them. :)

  • so ur a horse rider :D i like that - brave girl - but may be hmmm

    hey

    i heait winnter :D i heat ittttttttt

  • @ITubeUDecide Our lambs are born toward the end of February, but my sister has been bugging me to make a video in the barn, so you never know!

We own dorper sheep, and boer goats, both of which are breeds that have origins in Africa because they are pretty hardy and don't require the same quantity of food as some other breeds.

  • aha yeah but are the boer goats & dorper sheep doing good in that cold weather ?

we have them here too yeah ur right they are hardy but its kinda warm here or maybe hot -

anyway yeah Go for a clip in the barn that would be awsome .

do you eat from them meat ? did you tried it before ? or you just sail it ?

well i do & its amazinng it tasts so good so so good :D you better try it or ud lose soooooooooooooooooooo much

anyway yeah make the video & more videos tooo - okay ?

  • The boers and dorpers that we have were born and raised in Canada, so they don't have any trouble with the weather. They do a lot better than the dairy breeds because they have more flesh on their bones.

And yes, the first year that we raised goat, we kept a side of an older wether to eat for ourselves. Since then, we always have sales for all of the meat (always run out of meat before we run out of customers) so we haven't been able to. I liked it a lot! :)

  • yeah you got a good taste in the food - totality right its amazing yup - does your horse's Got names ?

  • I'm also starting another big weight loss push in 2010. Best of luck to you!

  • i would really like that i feel the same i weigh 15st and have a beautiful horse that i would like to look beautiful on please message me

  • Hey, you took the first step! Sounds like you have a realistic goal, that is very doable. Slow and steady is the way to go. As I learned that doing the healthy eating and exercise is actually the easy bit. The real challenge is altering the mind to live healthy without thinking about it. You can doooo it!!!

  • Thanks! :) There are little things I do already - skim milk, whole wheat bread... cutting some carbs now (I work in a restaurant serving Christmas dinners right now so hard to stay away from the stuffing!)... then there is the easy - my mile in 15 minutes... 45 minutes of riding. It's just getting it all synchronized together that is the hard part for me!

  • welcome to the youtube weight loss community, its been pretty supportive for me. good luck on your journey. oops didnt mean to 4 star crap lol.

  • Thank you! I am hoping that this will help me be more accountable. Making tweaky little daily changes already. :)
