@Syzygy60 The funny thing about the beatles is that you can tell exactly what everyone contributed to the band by listening to their solo careers. Paul is the most 'beatles' sounding beatle, followed closely by John. Together you get the quintessential beatles mix of McCartney pop, and Lennon sensibility/consciousness. George rounds out the sound, and colours it with the influences he brings in. Ringo... I'm not really sure what he does, but he did have the steady pop/rock beat down.
