  • No other show (except perhaps West Wing) can make me laugh, cry, shiver in awe and sob in just a few minutes. This is a truly extraordinary show and I'm so glad these are up.

  • This is my heart and soul. No show like it ever. The best, and love it so very much, bravo JMS!

  • Awesome, great, incredible, the best show period!

  • I still hold out hope for the telepath wars film/series. B5 is so deserving of a major feature production.

  • Not just the best sci-fi series ever made, but the best *anything* series ever made. I love(d) it with a passion unrivalled.

An incredible video tribute. Thank you!

  • @kazcita, I agree. The only other American-made TV series of any kind that have been B5’s peers in sheer storytelling quality and vision have, ironically, been fantasy animated series ostensibly written for an audience of children: Disney’s “Gargoyles” in the 1990s, and “Avatar: The Last Airbender” (the series, not to be confused with the live-action movie) in the 2000s.

The latter especially shares B5’s concept of a single story over the series, with a predetermined beginning, middle, and end.

  • IT WORKS AT resolution 480P

  • This is precisely why I consider B5 to be the best Sci-Fi series ever. Star Trek was great in its own way, and I grew up on it. But for the most part, it showed a paradise that I don't think Humanity will ever see, unless we learn to grow up, and understand. DS9 was different. It showed that not everything was peachy, and there was a darkness spreading. But B5 practically perfected the ominous threat. It didn't end with the Shadows leaving. It was realistic, and that's why it's better than ST.

  • it does work at 480P

  • It was such a blast watching this show week after week handing Star Trek it's ass on a silver platter with salt and pepper on it.

  • The video freezes after a few seconds. There is no sound. It may need uploading again.

  • @ytams1 you might need to reload the page or change it to 480p - worked for me second time round :)

  • Too bad season 5 blew donkey kong

  • I still miss this series and wish there had been more.

  • ZTeam you should make a video called welcome to the white star

  • why?

  • I feel personally inspired with Babylon 5, as it was one man's brainchild.

Great show too, even if it suffered from the "Star Trek make-up" syndrome ;)

  • Best Show ever. I feel that I knew these people as personal friends. I still watch My complete set of these on a regular basis. Excellent job JMS!

  • take your deep space nine opinions and fuck off then.

  • That was the last few tracks from vol.1 Babylon 5 soundtrack, and possibly the most moving piece of music by Christopher Franke.

  • I saw this either at SD ComiCon or LOSCON.

I camcordered it with my Sony Hi8 and it's been sitting on tape all this time. I really should transfer that stuff to DVD.

Thanks for posting it on YouTube so I can show it to others!

  • i remember this one..it was played when Earth Force One exploded.

  • can't be played when EF1 exploded. That happened in S1. According to tidbit in the info screen this song was composed at the end of S2...

  • Thanks for sharing. Never went to those conventions which this work was shown but I can imagine the effect it must have had.

  • Dear Mr. Hudgens:

Thank you so very much for sharing these on YouTube. I fondly remember seeing them at Dragon*Con years ago, and they were unforgettably good. I have just convinced a friend to watch Babylon 5, and I plan to tell her to come here and watch these when she's done.

In a way, I envy her getting to see both B5 and these videos for the first time. Again, thank you for the time you put into making them and sharing them in the first place.

  • Does anyone one know where i can get this version of Requiem for the line?

  • This is from the first babylon 5 soundtrack.

  • Not the version i have - its got a 4:04 long version that doesnt sound like this

  • Cold look up one of the free youtube convertor's that are out there. tehy let you yank the audio file as an mp3.

  • NIce music. I remenber then B5 was on tv. dad and i used to watch it all the time. they need to bring B5 back

  • They've been trying; too few are biting.

  • i remember that also 3 different channels would show b5

one would show last weeks and the other two would show the new show an hour apart i'd have 3 hours of b5 on a sunday night , life was good.

  • Wow. I just recently finished re-watching all five seasons.

Watching this clip makes me want to start all over again : - )

  • Me too! I'm gonna find the DVDs right away ;-)

  • I remember when I first saw this vid I could only cheer and applaud with the rest of the crowd. This vid is so very beautiful. Thank you for letting all Fivers out there relive their memories from long-gone conventions and parties. And thank you again for expressing the undying love every Fiver has for the greatest series of all time.

  • And Joe steps onto the stage and there is much cheering and clapping.

Because this was an Awesome Video! It caught so much of the mood of B5 at that point.

God does it bring back memories.

    Thanks for Posting.
